If you like fun with percussion, be sure someday to attend a concert (or watch a good vide of one) of Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana”. The lyrics are fun too; medieval sarcasm pointed at the authority figures of the day.
Although not a technically skillful, my favorite piece for sheer energy is still Santana performing Soul Sacrifice at Woodstock.
