No, it is not cheaper. My mom is diabetic and gets her insulin from Walmart for under $25 per vial of 100 units per ml without insurance. And the kicker is that they don’t even require a prescription.

Of course, if you want the sophisticated new formulations in the flexpen delivery system, you will pay extra for the privilege. Otherwise the price of that AR 15 is the equivalent of 15 vials of the above insulin.

But I need the extra special super strange insulin because I have Diabetes Simplex Duplex three!” And If I got for a top of the line AR 15 from a boutique shop, I’d probably end up shedding $3,000 or more for the privilege too, but in both cases, only few people go to that price range and cannot be considered the standard for the majority.

They lie simply because they know their followers will not bother to check the facts or knowing the facts, will choose to remain silent or perpetuate the lie.

  1. Your mother is lucky she can use that insulin. I have tried and well I am glad she can use it. I use both Lantus and Novalog, both north of 300 a month in the US. It is much cheaper in Canada. I am happy folks can buy an AR 15 for what I would pay for insulin in the US. What does chapp my behind is the free narcan for heroin addicts. Let pass on save money and more.

    1. It’s cheaper in Canada because the government there forces companies to sell the product at a large loss. They can get away with doing this because the USA still has something resembling a free market.
If the US did something similar, Canada either would no longer have insulin, or it would have it only at much higher prices than today.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
