I never liked the sport and even less the attitudes of most of the players with the exception of Jordan. I read J. Kb’s post (Who has my undying thanks for taking care of the blog while I was away) and then in Legal Insurrection I find out their ratings tanked 68% in the finals in a time where people are stuck at home and hungry for anything on TV (and there is nothing other than streaming services)  I have to make the obvious comparisons to Colt and Remington.  Companies that had management fuck up by the numbers and starve a company during times of fat cows.

But even the dumb asses at streaming services can fuck up a good thing. Amazon’s The Boys is getting a good watching, but in their last episode, the two bad “guys” in the series are having a rally which sound scripted by the Biden Campaign attacking on illegal immigration.  If they continue that shit, they will lose me and I know they will lose many others because I am sick and tired of being preached around by assholes in political ivory towers.  The Boys get one more chance  next Friday and if they went woke, I guess I can always re-watch season one of Bosch.

  1. I watched season 1 of The Boys. Decided to skip season two. It’s ugly and stupid. I never liked stick and ball sports, but now half wish I had because then I could quit watching them, too.

    1. Me too. I never have been interested in watching sports, especially not mainstream stuff (I don’t mind watching a local league playing down at the ballfield now and then, stuff like that), and it makes me wish I DID watch it so I could stop and screw the pro leagues over. Just like TV and Hollywood; I can’t stop watching them because I stopped doing that years ago.

  2. I’m at the point where I’m surprised whenever ANY entertainment doesn’t preach Leftist bullshit 85% of the time in their fictional storylines. I remember when it wasn’t like this — and I rejoice when a show plays it honest, and generally figure the producer or director is a closet conservative.

    1. My lady found tubi, you pay by watching commercials every 15 minutes. Normal 60 seconds worth of ads.

We started watching _Pettycoat Junction_ it had the so to standard “stupid man, girl smarter” but not in that hateful woke way.

We’ve really enjoyed stepping back in time to a place where woke SJW isn’t in every episode of every show

  3. That is some sportsball I enjoy for she sheer poetry in motion or the obvious action and little to no voicing from players (hokey, golf, rally racing) the rest is drudgery and dull.

Would two shows: Raised by Wolves the first episode is free on youtube as a teaser, and Helstrom no idea but the trailer looked spooky and neat be of any interest?

  4. Having read the actual comic series of ‘The Boys’ I’m still mystified as to why they made it into a Netflix series. The story is a massive, massive deconstruction of the superhero genre, where evidently superpowers reduce your IQ by about 40-60 points.

(Seriously. Someone once noted that any halfway competent Marvel or DC B-team could wreak unholy havoc in the universe of The Boys.)

    1. Superhero stories where, hey, the superheros are the bad guys and hypocrites and everything is so grimdark and gritty was getting old back in the 90’s.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
