Mark E. Kelly, gun-control proponent and husband to former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, recently purchased an AR-15 (an “assault weapon,” he called it)—which he now says he intended as an illustration of the need for more stringent gun laws.

Kelly reportedly bought the AR-15 and a 1911-style semi-automatic pistol at Diamondback Police Supply in Tucson, Arizona.

The Supreme Swine strikes again. I bet he did not reject the High Capacity Assault Magazine Clip that came with the rifle.

  1. Says he`s going to turn it over to Tucson PD when he picks it up……WTF? Diane Feinstein disease?

  2. Miguel, the story is that he bought it (and a .45) to prove how easy it was to obtain an “assault weapon” in his state. He was trying to make his point. He claims he’ll give the AR15 to the police when he receives it.

    1. He failed horribly in making any negative point.
The only point he clearly made is that a law abiding citizen of our country that has no felony record can exercise their Second Amendment rights at will.

What I find dubious, at best, is that he drops ~$2.5k in the spirit of making a point, and plans to give them up afterward? Yeah right. Sounds like someone scrambling to avoid the clearly visible hypocrisy.

If this really was his plan all along? Let this dummy be the first to get in line for anger management classes. He’s got a screw loose.

  3. “Americans for Responsible Solutions?”

I think a responsible solution to something like this would be to prohibit any politician or other individual who has publicly denounced “assault weapons” from buying one.

And also kick them out of office.

    1. Also, such people should not be afforded any kind of armed security, especially at taxpayer expense.

  4. I don’t get it. Why is it a problem for him to buy a gun? He’s a former officer (Navy, I think) and an astronaut. Does he have a felony record? PTSD? Psych issues – besides apparently being stricken with hoplophobia? Why shouldn’t he be able to buy a gun with minimal hassle?

If it’s a publicity stunt, it’s for stupid people.

    1. He’s former military- and according to liberal politicos in D.C., he’s potentially suffering PTSD, therefore, should not be eligible to purchase firearms.

  5. I don’t care why he bought it. He’s still a hypocrite. And these two are just Bradys, Act II.

    Both are disgusting Dansers Macabre.

  6. I made my own attitude about this one in plain, clear, concise english, using small words so the liberal twats would understand….over at 2×4

  7. Yeah I’ve never understood that line when antiguners buy firearms “to turn into the PD.” I mean… it’s not like they’re turning in a bag of weed or something. Can I turn in an old microwave that I think should be banned?

    1. “The animal is already dead. You aren’t honoring it by buying the meat and throwing it away.”

  8. Good thing Gabby has a D after her name other wise we would have never heard her or hubby’s name 3 days after the shooting.

  9. […] Story: This tidbit comes to us from GunFreeZone.net.  The husband of former Congress Woman Gabby Giffords, who was one of the victims of the deranged shooter at a rally in Arizona, was caught purchasing an AR15 rifle, one that he claims should be banned.  It was later revealed that he claims to have purchased it in order to turn it over to police.  The believability factor of this one is classified as negative infinity.
