Has this Sweeney rat officially conceded? Until that happens, this guy has won nothing. Sorry to be a Gloomy Gus, but Jersey politics are as putrid and corrupt as NY’s, so let’s see if a few thousand extra votes for the incumbent don’t materialize. I was reading how Murphy’s challenger was up by a couple thousand and now this morning, *abra cadabra* Murphy has been declared victor. Please forgive my cynicism.
The NJ 2nd Amendment folks tried to get Sweeney recalled in 2015. They could not get enough signatures to recall him. (TWICE!)
I am not saying that the Republicans in that section of NJ are Apathetic, BUT Sweeney won with less than 32,000 of the 140,000 eligible voters every time he ran. Usually only 20,000 – 25,000 Democrat Votes.
Even during the “2013 Most Expensive Senate Election in NJ State History,” Sweeney only got 31,045 votes. His opponent barely got 25,000 votes. In a district with 140,000 eligible voters. PATHETIC!

That is outstanding, the fella put his effort and time where his convictions were and I applaud him and the citizens.
