Kiwi Lives Matter! (unless they’re cops…)
All NZ police carry semi auto rifles in their vehicles as they commonly patrol both rural and city areas. All officers also carry tazer, capsicum spray and expanding baton. Plus they wear bullet resistant vests.
Swat units have pistols, shotgun etc. Plain clothes carry concealed as do uniform on special duty.
Not that unarmed.
