This video is a year old and comes to us from BBC Three in the UK, but I just saw it and it is worth watching.  Especially in the wake of the gang robberies and beatings in Minneapolis.

Real simple.  If you don’t want to be a victim, don’t act like a victim.  Maintain your situational awareness, don’t walk down the street with your nose in your phone tuning out the world.  Criminals don’t want to work more than they have to so if you look like a hard target, you will more likely be left alone.

  1. Make a note: Crime has risen even after England has become a mushroom field of surveillance cameras.

Cameras do not deter crime, they only gather evidence if you can’t act immediately. .

  2. Ahhh the proper and gentile brits… what a buncha morons. The stiff upper lip crowd have made it safe for criminals. It was starting in 1978 when I was there. If you heard someone screamin for help and you helped them YOU could be arrested for it. Stupid.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
