Pro-Trump mob storms US Capitol as armed standoff takes place outside House chamber
Supporters of President Donald Trump have breached the US Capitol as lawmakers attempted to count the Electoral College votes certifying President-elect Joe Biden’s win, and an armed standoff is taking place outside the House of Representatives.
Shortly after 1 p.m. ET hundreds of pro-Trump protesters pushed through barriers set up along the perimeter of the Capitol, where they tussled with officers in full riot gear, some calling the officers “traitors” for doing their jobs. About 90 minutes later, police said demonstrators got into the building and the doors to the House and Senate were being locked. Shortly after, the House floor was evacuated by police.

The Democrats are going to control both houses of Congress and the Whitehouse.
There is no way that they are going to just let this slide.

As much as I might think some folks in Congress deserve a well place punch occasionally, violence is not the right way. Not at this time, and not against our elected officials.

I was afraid this day was coming. There are allegations that ANTIFA was there wearing MAGA hats to get the ball rolling, but that really doesn’t matter anymore. This is the result of ANTIFA and BLM being allowed to destroy and intimidate at will with little in the way of repercussions, endless lockdowns from
the China virus, an election that had obvious problems and fraud, and hyper partisan fury from both sides of the political aisle. It’s a sad, sad day. I fear the knee jerk reaction from the government will probably make it worse in the long run.
No one at any level will report that ANTIFABLM agitaters hold any responsibility. Not one peep. Even if there is clear evidence that was the case.
However, it was still right wing extremists that caused the riots across the nation all summer. Despite the total lack of evidence.
The narrative is too strong. You cannot swim against that tide. You can only hope to swim parallel to shore for long enough to get out of the water alive.
