For the youngins: During the L.A. Riots, “peaceful” protesters stopped a truck, pulled out the driver and proceeded to beat him within a hornet’s tail of his life.

The “peaceful”  protesters are at it again blocking roads and getting stupid. Whatever happens, never get out of the car.

  1. I believe, 100%, that the law should be written so that if protesters/rioters/people engaged in civil unrest try to block your vehicle on a road that you have the right to be on, you can legally run their asses over to escape.

Essentially a vehicular stand your ground law.

    1. I showed that to my wife, and her first words were, “Good! They need to legalize that as a vehicular stand your ground!”

  2. Sad how in 30 years we aint learned anything.
Amazing how quick people are to go crazy and the mob mentality takes charge

    1. Not 30 years,. Try 70+ years. And it is still hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys.

The State News once published a story. The local police chief was explaining that the were going to find and arrest the student that had thrown a brick through the plate glass windows of the posh department store on Grand River Ave.

This was under a picture of a cop throwing a brick at the store windows under the cover of the tear gas to cops used to clear the street…

    1. Oh, I think protestors should be allowed to try to block cars if they so choose.

I just think the people being blocked should be allowed to defend themselves without fear of persecution … just like stand-your-ground laws, there’d need to be a reason (other than “I’m irritated by this”) to run someone over. A protester jumping on someone’s hood, for instance.

  3. Hey remember last year when the Tennessee Legislature passed a law saying you can run over protestors? It’s not *true* but it was widely reported as such, locally and nationally. The awful reporting produced two offsetting populations:
    1. Drivers who think they can mow down protestors willy-nilly
    2. *Protestors* who think they can be mowed down willy-nilly
The net result? No more protestors blocking streets!

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
