CSGV: NRA + Glenn Beck = Losing their frigging minds (Updated)

This is hot off the Facebook presses. Apparently Glenn Beck is hated by the Laddites at the same level as the NRA so putting both together is like the perfect storm for them to basically behave like a lynch mob. I just copied and pasted the comments that you see below the pic as I did not feel like doing a screen cap.

CSGV Glenn

Amazing! And we are supposed to trust these people? They have America’s best interest at heart? They are peaceful? Open minded? All inclusive?

If anything they are a powerful motive to stock up on rifles and ammo.

One new IDPA rule that some will like.

Springfield XD will be able to be used for Stock Service Pistol division. Also there will be a code of conduct governing the behavior of IDPA members. This according to Joyce Wilson as interviewed by Gail Pepin in the ProArms podcast.

Go listen to the interview of Gail will kill me for stealing her thunder.

Florida, please take notice:Texas House passes 12 firearms bills on ‘gun day’

The Texas House approved a batch of bills Saturday to further soften gun laws that were already among the country’s most firearms-friendly, allowing college students to carry handguns in class, putting potentially armed marshals in public schools and exempting the state from any future federal bans on assault rifles, high-capacity magazines or universal background checks.

We did good killing every Gun Control bill that it was introduced. Next season we need to get some good stuff approved.

In the meantime, congratulations Texans!

New Magpul Product: AK Mag!

Another interesting product line was the Magpul MOE AK 7.62×39 magazine and grip. They aren’t on sale yet, but they’re coming. Of course, Magpul’s focus on AR mags as well as their impending move to an as-yet-undetermined state has had an effect on production speed.

Squeee! An AK Mag from Magpul should be good, I hope so. There has been other non-steel mags that sucked hing heaven. Oh yes, price is between $12 to $16 which makes taking a leap budget feasible.

Snell: Waking the dragon

So long as you deny our humanity, so long as you malign our dignity, intelligence and wisdom, so long as you seek to shade us under a cloud of evil that we do not partake in or support, so long as you tell us that because we own guns we are terrible people, you will prove yourselves absolutely right in that we won’t come to the table to talk with you.

And there will be no hope for resolution but through victory by force initiated by one side or the other, God help us, for we will not plow for those who didn’t beat their swords into plowshares.

It is long and it is darn good. Read it all and share with your Anti Gun acquaintances.

What if Bloomberg came to Florida and nobody noticed?

He apparently was not here in corpus praesens, but his MAIG/Brady bills were. I was checking yesterday the Florida Senate bills since it was the last day for the legislature and noticed several proposals that seemed quite familiar but did not go anywhere.

SB 1670: Assault Weapons and Magazines. Basically the version of Feinstein’s AWB Deux.  D.O.A.

SB 1640: Weapons or Firearms. Florida’s version of Universal background checks without the sweet parts of the Federal bill and a much more restricted family tree. D.O.A.

SB 1582: Culpable Negligence. This would be an Assault Weapons Ban Light. D.O.A.

SB 1018: Regulation of Firearms and Ammunition. I think I may have mentioned this one before. Basically eliminating the legislature’s pre-emption and allowing every frigging elected town, county and/or dog-catcher to create its own local regulations. D.O.A.

SB 1234: Sale of Firearms and Ammunition. Imposing a 4% tax on the sales of firearms and ammunition to pay for Mental Health studies, treatment and assorted bullshit. Apparently guns cause madness or they cannot collect from Bath Salt dealers and we are the Usual Suspects.  D.O.A.

I would love to know how many other states had bills like these introduced and did not go anywhere. I know Gun Control activist do have an “involuntary vascular penile reaction” for Florida since we are pretty much have been defying them and being the bad example on guns for other states since the late 90s and before. That they can’t advance anything worthwhile down here must be eating them up inside.

And the Florida Senate has adjourned Sine Die. That means “They are done and can’t screw up no more.”
