Detroit Shoots Back: How the Motor City took back its Streets and Outdrew the Left. | Watchdogs of Our Freedom

Detroiters who lived through decades of ultra liberal administrators (mostly because they kept voting for them, but that’s not important now) suddenly realized the city’s main law enforcement official was advocating gunfire as the most practical solution to the Motor City’s runaway crime rate. If Joe Arpaio had parachuted into Grand Circus Park with a bullhorn and a case of Mini 14s, the message could not have been any clearer—or driven liberals any crazier: The best way to stop a bad guy with a gun was still a good guy with a gun.

It is along article, but fun to read. Save it for the lunch break!

Being Politically Correct even if it means death.

Miami police say they consider the spike in shootings this year an “outlier.” They say major crime numbers remain low overall and put much of the blame on the end of the federal Assault Weapons Ban in 2004. Automatic gunfire from easy-to-get guns can spray hundreds of bullets in the blink of an eye.

Police say the lax gun laws leave them unable to track the number of weapons purchased or when they were bought. People purchasing weapons at gun shows or in shops are not required to register them.

via Deadly square: 43 people shot in Miami’s Liberty Square area in 2014 – Miami-Dade – MiamiHerald.com.

Writers Charles Rabin and David Smiley have so many idiocies and contradictions written in this article that one must wonder if it is ignorance or advocacy.

Let’s extract some other info from the same piece:

Despite lower crime elsewhere, 43 people have been shot and seven of them have died in a rash of violence in and around a Miami public housing project.

So how does that work? The end of the “Assault Weapons” Ban was only applied in the Liberty Square area and the rest of the county is still under it? Obviously the answer is no.  And those with any inkling on gun laws know damn well that full automatic rifles were not affected by the AWB but still remain some of the most restricted items to buy and sell in the country. Clearly that is not the problem in Liberty Square.

And that little pun about registering firearms? We are still waiting for that big case solved through gun registration in those states that have it along with fired cases database and bullet fingerprinting.

But there is a reason to use the old and abuse “Assault Weapons” excuse: It is an easy target and very politically correct to do so. The authors out it out there because mentioning the real reasons first would be seen and racist and hateful without giving an easy out first. It is not after they bemoaned “Assault Weapons” that they gently dare to mention gangs although more like “it is not a big deal as they are small.”  The TV Show, “The First 48” has more information on what happens in this area (If you watch the show, anytime they mention Pork ‘N’ Beans, they are talking about Liberty Square.) than what you can actually get from the Herald or any other local media outlet.

The sad truth is that the only reasons for the violence in this area are the traditional ones: a community that has given up alongside the police and local leaders that are more interested in being re-elected than actually fixing the problems.

The Mad Ogre has new classes. I need monies!

The Grilling While Armed Tactical Grilling and Shooting.  We’ll combine two of my favorite things in one course.   We’ll start out with how to set up your grill, how to cook direct grilling and smoking on your Weber (or other) charcoal grill.  Once the coals are lit and the meat and heat are set, we’ll do a defensive pistol course.  During the breaks from shooting, we’ll cover Pro Level, Champion Grade cooking techniques so you get the most out of your Grill.  Then we shoot some more.  And then once the smoking and grilling is done – We FEAST.  So you come away from this course, full and satisfied with grilled and smoked foods, and with the knowledge to grill and smoke your own, and with some improvement to your defensive shooting.  Okay, really this is just a day of hanging out at the range with good people and good food and enjoying the Freedom Lifestyle.

Man with Assault Umbrella in Cal State. SWAT Saves the Day.

A SWAT team on the campus of California State University San Marcos surrounded a staff member equipped with protective rain gear this week.

via SWAT team responds to college staff member carrying umbrella (VIDEO).

Here is the pic of the dangerous takedown:

“It was long umbrella with a strap I guess it went over the shoulder, so you can see where the confusion came from.”

Those were the words of the “reporter on the scene” and he is either making shit up as he went or there are some seriously stupid and ignorant people at California State (San Marcos.)

assault umbrella

So basically if it has a strap and goes over the shoulder, you can expect to have Law Enforcement called on your ass. Some items with straps that go over the shoulder and may get you shot are : Brassieres, Messenger Bags, Baby Carriers and Accordions (OK, you could make the case for accordions.)

One more thing: I know SWAT was called in and they have all those wonderful toys but, can anybody explain to me why in God’s graces do they need to be muzzle sweeping every frigging student & faculty in the frigging campus?
