Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly poach on the corpse of a fallen LEO for Gun Control.

Officer Daniel Webster, Albuquerque Police Department.

Former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords’ recent visit to New Mexico to call for restrictive firearms legislation is further evidence that House Bill 50 and Senate Bill 48 are products of a national gun control agenda. Her organization, Americans for Responsible Solutions, joins the chorus of outside groups led by billionaire New Yorker Michael Bloomberg pushing for burdensome regulations on the sale and temporary loaning of your personal firearms, even to people close to you, such as friends, neighbors, co-workers and even some family members…
…at the public hearing on HB50 before the New Mexico House Consumer and Public Affairs Committee, it became more personal for me. The bill’s author, as well as her lead witness, both invoked the name of my late husband, Albuquerque Police Department officer Daniel Webster, to promote the measure. Along with the media, they continue to imply that had these proposed laws been in place, my husband’s death would have been prevented…
I am not okay with this, and I know Dan would not have wanted his name associated with this bill either. He was against expanded background checks of any kind and stood behind our Second Amendment rights with honor and appreciation. The idea of him having to go to a licensed firearms dealer, complete federal paperwork and pay a fee for a records check on his buddy at work or on my dad if he wanted to sell or loan a gun to either of them is not only ridiculous, but intrusive. He certainly did not believe this type of gun control would solve the larger problems in our communities.

Gun bills dishonor slain APD officer – By Michelle Carlino-Webster / Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Detective

Holy crap! This means they did not even have the decency to meet with the widow and ask permission to use her husband’s name. How gorramed conceited are they that they think themselves fail-proof and people will go along with what they do because they are special and above common courtesy because they are doing important work. And probably do not care about the pain they inflicted on the widow because she is little people anyway and Giffords and Kelly know better that you and me and all the Gun Nuts.

Michelle Carlino-Webster.

They are no better than the grave diggers of old, stealing bodies for a profitable scheme. It is really disgusting.

The Fraud of Gun Buy Backs

CORAL GABLES, FLA. (WSVN) – The first of three consecutive gun buyback events took place, Saturday, in Miami.

The National Gun Sense Coalition is expected to work with the City of Miami over the next three weeks to buy back your guns.

Those who sell their guns during this program can receive a $50 gift card.

City of Miami partners to host gun buyback program

The National Gunsense Coalition is  a bunch of groups associated with our dear “friends” Gabby Giffords and Mark Kelly. Hell, the use of the word “gunsense” gives it away from the get go.

But that is not what I wanted to touch upon.  I checked this event on their Facebook page and something caught my attention:

I clicked on the pick and much to my sadness I saw the guns being turned for $50 a pop.

Number one looks like a M1 Carbine. Impossible to determine the manufacturer, but if it happens to be a run-of-the-mill Korean War era, you are talking under $1,000. One used in WWII and manufactured by Springfield goes for close to $2,500. Number two appears to be a Savage/Stevens 67 Shotgun that still can command $350 in not so good condition. Number three is a Marlin 336 that will fetch $500 and more without the scope.

Now, assuming that the people who brought the guns were their owners and not just some gangbangers dumping stolen goods and getting a Gift Card for allowing the County to dispose of the evidence. We are talking about $1,850 worth of guns traded for $150 possibly from people who may desperately need the money. That is fraud.

Fraud is the running condition of the whole Gun Control movement.  I shouldn’t be surprised that they have no problem short-changing people as long as they can have their selfies posted in Facebook showing others how much “they care and are working hard to make us feel safe.”

End Game

One Sci-Fi movie franchise I never got into was Resident Evil.  Naturally I should be into it, I like zombie movies and grew up with the video game.  I is just the plot of the movies made no sense to me.  Why would a company engineer an extinction level zombie virus and release it?  What is the purpose of destroying the world?

  1. Make T-virus and release it..
  2. Turn the world into zombies.
  3. Profit?

What is the point of being the wealthiest CEO on the planet if there are no mechanics left to fix your Lamborghini, Five Star restaurants left to make you steak, or pool boys left to clean your pool and satisfy your trophy wife?

I don’t get what the is the ultimate goal of all the destruction.

I feel the same way right now about politics.

So someone in the Obama administration got a FISA warrant to do some e-surveillance on Trump’s people.  There has been some discussion of “deep state” entrenched bureaucrats, left over from the Obama admin, going after Trump from inside the government.  Mark Levin was on Fox News listing all the MSM stories covering the Obama surveillance of Trump and his people.  Michael Moore (who is looking more and more like an old lesbian spinster) wants Obama holdovers to take down Trump.

Here’s the thing, let’s say it is all true.  Obama did spy on Trump and his people and install Obama agents in the government to take out Trump by collecting and leaking Trump info until his is impeached or resigns in shame.  What is the end game?

If you think the Dems hate Trump, they have to hate Pence more.  After Pence is Paul Ryan.  Republicans may think hes a RINO, but the Dems don’t like him either.  The line of succession doesn’t hit a Democrat until place No 8, and before that you have No. 6, James Mattis as an Independent (although I could have President Mad Dog Mattis).

Under no scenario is Trump replaces with Hillary or is a special election called to do that.

What are they trying to accomplish?  Simply destroying an Administration without a plan to replace it is insane.  If a bunch of Obama plants manage to take out an entire elected Administration, i.e., Trump and Pence, our government is over.  What is the point of an election if some entrenched bureaucrats can undo it?

Is the Dem plan is to take their ball and go home?  Because I can’t see this country holding together if one party’s ideology is “if we don’t win the election, we will destroy the stability of government.”

IDPA Match

I shot my first IDPA match in since I lived in South Dakota, this weekend.  Also it was the first time with this gun and the sights I had put on it, shooting CDP class.

I survived halfway through the gunfight, coming in exactly in tho 50% percentile.

I have been shooting steel challenge recently and I need to overcome that mindset.

M shooting was good, having a decently low PD, it was the half dozen procedurals that killed me, literally.  Who needs cover when you are shooting steel plates?

I think I’m going to make the jump from Steel Challenge to IDPA a more permanent thing.  What I need to do is really start practicing my footwork.

You can’t miss fast enough to win a gunfight, I know that.  But standing squared up, broad side to a baddie to get a clean shot is probably a good way to lose one.

Oldie but Goodie: Trigger Finger Positioning, Hand Clenches, and Accidental Discharges.

Once again, I am stealing from Greg Ellifritz.

Many shooters hold their fingers this way when not firing.  They believe that since the finger is not on the trigger, an accidental discharge won’t occur.  In general, they are correct.  But most shooters don’t know that certain situations can cause an involuntary hand clenching.  The tightening of the hand causes a contraction of all of the fingers with a force up to 30 lbs. (the Glock trigger pull weight is around 6 lbs.) and cannot be consciously controlled.

Trigger Finger Positioning, Hand Clenches, and Accidental Discharges.

One of my greatest bouts of luck was having an instructor that taught be very early on about involuntary hand clenching. He used another wording, but the idea that both hands would act in synchronicity without a conscious order.

Read the whole article, figure out what you do with your trigger finger and fix what needs to be fixed.
