The neverending dilemma of Good Witness vs. First Responder. (Graphic Content)

Via FPF Training.

I have no background on the event which is good in a way because that would be the same thing that would happen in real life: You have no idea what’s going on besides the obvious.

Do you intervene and save a life and possibly become a defendant? Or you just pull your phone, call 911 and then switch to video recording.

Up to you to figure that one out

Why is Traditional Media a joke?

Mexico got hit by a rather nasty earthquake in the 7.1 range. As usual, Twitter is where you will find the fastest images. NBC had this old school cliche going.

In the meantime, the man in the street was showing buildings shaking,

And collapsing:

Pieces falling off the ones still standing:

The waters “boiling”:

Technology simply is making Main Stream Media obsolete…more obsolete. They are due for evolution or extinction.

This is America

Stolen from Old NFO who in turn “appropriated” it from other sources:

Hundreds and hundreds of small boats pulled by countless pickups and SUVs from across the South are headed for Houston or Florida. Almost all of them driven by men. They’re using their own property, sacrificing their own time, spending their own money, and risking their own lives for one reason: to help total strangers in desperate need.

Most of them are by themselves. Most are dressed like the redneck duck hunters and bass fisherman they are. Many are veterans. Most are wearing well-used gimme-hats, t-shirts, and jeans; and there’s a preponderance of camo. Most are probably gun owners, and most probably voted for Trump.

These are the people the Left loves to hate, the ones Maddow mocks. The ones Maher and Olbermann just *know* they’re so much better than. These are The Quiet Ones. They don’t wear masks and tear down statues. They don’t, as a rule, march and demonstrate.

But they’ll spend the next several days wading in cold, dirty water; dodging gators and water moccasins and fire ants; eating whatever meager rations are available; and sleeping wherever they can in dirty, damp clothes. Their reward is the tears and the hugs and the smiles from the terrified people they help. They’ll deliver one boatload, and then go back for more.

When disaster strikes, it’s what men do. Real men. Heroic men. American men. White men, Black men, Asian men, Hispanic men. And then they’ll knock back a few shots, or a few beers with like-minded men they’ve never met before, and talk about fish, or ten-point bucks, or the benefits of hollow-point ammo, or their F-150.

And the next time they hear someone talk about “the patriarchy”, or “male privilege”, they’ll snort, turn off the TV, if they have one, and go to bed.

In the meantime, they’ll likely be up again before dawn. To do it again. Until the helpless are rescued. And the work’s done.

They’re unlikely to be reimbursed. There won’t be medals. They won’t care. They’re the unsung heroes. And it’s what heroes do, get the job done and move on to the next job, or go home and resume their daily lives.

Grain of Salt Warning: We only have what has been published in the media and for purposes of analysis and learning, we will assume it is as close as the truth as they can managed to come up with.

Dothan, AL (WTVY)- It appears a murder charge against a Dothan man will be dropped before he is to have gone on trial Monday. The Houston County District Attorney’s Office Friday requested charges against 23-year old Starlin D’Neil Knight for fatally shooting 33-year old Shira Dwayne McKinnie be dismissed. It cites need for further investigation. Defense Attorney Matthew C. Lamere had argued in a previous motion that Knight should be immune from prosecution under Alabama’s Stand Your Ground law.“The Defendant and a female witness, while in his vehicle prior to the shooting, were chased extensively by the deceased, who actively stalked the Defendant until the Defendant ended up in his aunt’s driveway where he was residing at the time. The Defendant, standing in his own yard, was fired upon by the (McKinnie), and, at that time he fired back,” Lamere alleged in the motion. A hearing was never held on the matter but, Friday, Assistant Houston County District Attorney Seth Brooks asked charges against Knight be dropped. Houston County Circuit Judge Henry D. “Butch” Binford will likely concur negating the need for a trial this week.

Damn, where do I begin?

I have to start with “Don’t do Stupid Things” like delivering pot to dealers. That right there should have save the guy all the trouble in the world. Now, on face value, Mr. Knight did what was supposed to do: He fled the scene, tried his best to disengage, ended up in a place where he had the right to be and used the amount of force needed to defend himself and a companion.

Not mentioned o this article is that he used and AK clone and placed two rounds on the body of his attacker who was inside a vehicle. This vehicle ended up farther than the road where it caught fire. I am sure that the concept of gang-banger-doper-with-AK47 might have influenced the police’s decision to charge him with murder.

Now, this happened in March of last year and once again the Prosecution did not bother to check facts till right before the trial and probably because the Defense shoved a bunch of paperwork in their faces. The Prosecutor didn’t even ask for a continuance but straight went for dropping the charges, which should make you not warm/fuzzy once again.

I have to say it again: DO NOT PLAY STUPID GAMES OR YOU WILL WIN STUPID PRIZES. In this particular case, Mr. Knight got himself his life frozen for 18 months and got sacked with a $750,000 bail, later reduced to $75,000 and tagged with a GPS device like a tracked animal in the wild.

And once again we have Prosecutors that are not giving a crap about cases but just making judicial sausage. No doubt that Mr. Knight was lucky to score a good lawyer who managed to do an investigation and gathered enough evidence to get him out of trouble.

Get yourself a good lawyer, in fact, be prepared and have one standing by.  I am gonna plug Armed Citizens Defense Network because I think they are the best out there and have been doing it right the longest. And just the material they send you is worth the prize of admission. The Defense Lawyer finder is one of many cherries on top.  Think of it as your Legal Blow Out Kit.

American education goes down the tubes

Bernie Sanders introduced the idea of free college for most during the Democrat primary.  New York has decided to give free college to middle class New Yorkers.  California is poised to do something similar, and free college is now part of the New Jersey governor’s race debate.

I think I’m going the other way on this.  Rather than schools offer free tuition to students, I’m all for pulling all state and federal funding from colleges and ending subsidized loans.

I have already blogged, twice, about butthurt professors who have protested the lawful campus carry in Texas and Kansas by wearing body armor.

The Secretary of Education, Besty DeVos, is using the DOE to undo the Obama Dear Colleague Letter which has turned into a massive abuse of Title IX (I deliberately chose the Slate article – because when Slate says DeVos is right about Title IX being abused, you can bank on it being that bad).  College professors are resistant to the idea of reintroducing due process to on campus sexual assault investigations.

Princeton University is holding a Fuck Free Speech event on Constitution Day.  Professors at the University of California Berkeley want students and professors to boycott campus during the ‘Free Speech Week’.

College campuses across the country are creating racially and sexually separated ‘safe spaces’ for various identity groups.

Then there was the total cluster-fuck of Evergreen State College.

Since the beginning of 2017, academia has done its best to show that it has no respect, if downright hatred, for the First Amendment, Second Amendment, Fifth Amendment, Fourteenth Amendment, and the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

This is anti-Civics, actively promoting ignorance and hatred of the United States.

Why are we funding this?

I’m not saying end college as an institution, but maybe taking away the free money will cause the useless programs to wither and die.  There will always be a need for scientists, engineers, doctors, nurses, accountants, and such.  But if kids have to pay $50,000 out of pocket to listen to some putz ramble on about the social construct of gender in Indigenous societies, they might say “fuck that noise” and actually learn something.

They will never learn

I caught this story on Tucker Carlson last night.  Nancy Pelosi was giving a speech on DACA when she got shouted down by a group of illegal immigrant protesters.  The whole scene turned ugly.  Feast your eyes.

All I hear about from the media is how illegal immigrants “live in the shadows.

I really don’t think shouting at a United States Congresswoman and former Speaker of the House while getting in her face with a bunch of signs is “living in the shadows.”

What you are witnessing here is just another example of why the rule of law is important.  What is a sanctuary policy but a state or city that thumbs its nose at the rule of law.  The lessons learned by illegals in these locations is that the Democrats will violate the laws to protect them from the legal ramifications of their actions.  New York reduces charges against them to avoid deportation requirements, so does California.

We see this with the media and their support of Antifa, calling them “mostly peaceful.”    We saw the situation in Berkeley get out of hand when the police were told to stand down and not resist them.

The way Antifa was treated was nothing new.  The mayor of Baltimore gave protesters “space to destroy” after the Freddy Gray verdict.

What we see over and over again is the rule of law not being applies.  Various groups are given free reign to be violent because they have the right politics or grievances to be worthy of pandering to by the Left.

When you give a mouse a cookie, he;ll want a glass of milk.

When you give some violent thugs a slap on the wrist, they will burn your shit to the ground.

Eventually they will bit the hand that protects them because nothing in their history tells them that they will get in trouble for it.

Now that Berkeley is being smashed on a regular basis and leading Democrats are being heckled by the people they protect, you’d expect them to understand why the rule of law is so important: that the law be enforced and applied equally to all.

Unfortunately I believe that the Left is too invested in pandering to ever change course from what they are doing now.  They may be destroyed by their own protected classed, and that will be fun to watch.  But the collateral damage will be terrible.
