I touched on the Covington Catholic School kids once today, from the perspective of the Left’s rapidly growing anti-Catholic bias.  I’m going to touch on it again from another perspective.

I love this cartoon, and its relevance to this situation cannot be overstated.

This is exactly what happened.

Reason Magazine does an excellent breakdown, with evidence, of how the media reports of the interaction with the kids and the Native American man were wrong to the point of being the dead opposite of what really happened.

If you go on Twitter, what is being said about these kids is beyond horrible.

#ShutdownCovingtonCatholic and #CovingtonShame are a trending hashtags.

Then there are Tweets like this:

What this is, is the systematic destruction of the lives of a bunch of kids who had the misfortune of being on a school field trip on Friday.

The image that has become the icon of this narrative and the feelings that have gone along with it are perfectly paired in this Tweet.

That kid released an official statement.  Here is his side of the story, backed up by video evidence.

After a few minutes of chanting, the Native American protestors, who I hadn’t previously noticed, approached our group. The Native American protestors had drums and were accompanied by at least one person with a camera.

The protestor everyone has seen in the video began playing his drum as he waded into the crowd, which parted for him. I did not see anyone try to block his path. He locked eyes with me and approached me, coming within inches of my face. He played his drum the entire time he was in my face.

I never interacted with this protestor. I did not speak to him. I did not make any hand gestures or other aggressive moves. To be honest, I was startled and confused as to why he had approached me. We had already been yelled at by another group of protestors, and when the second group approached I was worried that a situation was getting out of control where adults were attempting to provoke teenagers.

I believed that by remaining motionless and calm, I was helping to diffuse the situation. I realized everyone had cameras and that perhaps a group of adults was trying to provoke a group of teenagers into a larger conflict. I said a silent prayer that the situation would not get out of hand.

So this teenage boy was in over his head and just froze, hoping not to make the situation any worse.  This was twisted into “staring down” and “mocking” and old Native American man.

The internet has decided that this boy should pay for his act of doing nothing for the rest of his life.  His friends and family too.

As a father this scares the ever loving live fuck out to me.

What do I do with my kids?  At this point, never letting them go on a class trip to DC is a start.  God know what interaction they could have that a cropped cellphone video, deliberately cmisharacterized on CNN could do to them.  Their lives ruined by a hashtag and Twitter hate mob before the truth can get its pants on.

And I realize, this is the point.

The Left has democratized the worst aspects of totalitarianism.

I grew up listening to the stories of the Cuban Revolution from the grandparents of my friends in Miami.

One of the things I remember is being told about the spies that would attend the anti-Castro rallies.  The spies would report who was at these meetings to Castro’s goon squads and they would be killed and their families killed too.  In very short order, there were no more anti-Castro rallies because people were too terrified to speak out.

If you attend the Women’s March and say horrible shit about the Jews, the media will back you to the hilt.  Your every action excused.

If you show up in DC with a MAGA hat and respond to an adult beating a drum in your face with stoicism, you and your family will be sentenced to death by social media.

In 2019, the Socialist goon squads do not carry clubs and rifles, they carry cellphones.

They don’t beat you to death in a field or stand you up against a wall and shoot you.  They ruin your reputation, harass your school and get you expelled, they harass your employer and get you fired, they trash your parent’s business on Yelp and bankrupt them.

Every Leftist with Twitter account and a camera phone is a potential goon who can destroy everything you worked your entire life for in an instant of selectively edited video.

I can’t imagine where as a nation we go from here.  When the opposition to any Leftist position isn’t crushed by the jackboot of goverment but by an army of private citizens as an internet hate mob.

This can only end badly, unfortunately, since one side benefits from this, they are disinclined to stop it.

All I want to do is lock my doors, hide my children, and delete my barely existent social media, before we are ruined by some Lefty with an axe to grind.

And that is how they win.

I went over a hundred videos in YouTube to see if I could get some sort of pattern we could use to lower the number of guns stolen from cars. I wanted to know basically how long it takes for a burglar to break in ransack and leave with goodies and what was the method of entry. I ended up tallying 63 videos that clearly showed method of entry and ran the entire time from the moment entry to the vehicle was gained till burglar left. These videos are the original from the victims either posted by them or a few LEO agencies that did not edit the content. Videos from News organizations were not tallied as they edited for time. Still those videos edited gave me confirmation of many of the things I will mention later down this post.

Let’s say I had assumptions and  they were shattered.  I figured busting windows was the favorite way to gain access and that it took them 3-4 minutes to go through the car and steal all the stuff.

Method of Entry:

73% Unlocked vehicle

17% Breaking window

7% Window down

2% Locked forced open

2% Trunk left unlocked

People, it is not a question of gear, it is  question of absent-mindedness, of carelessness and irresponsibility, specially when you find out that over 90% of the videos were home surveillance videos.  Basically, 82% of the break ins are the fault of the owner of the vehicle. They were preventable.

The screen caps above are from burglaries where I know guns were stolen from vehicles parked at home! Why in the name of all that is holy did the owners leave the frigging guns in the unlocked car?

And I heard some with the ditty: “It is a Gun Free Zone, but I’ll be in and out in  couple of minutes” or “I just need to run inside the house quick, it will only be a minute.” Well, I have bad news for you when it comes to a burglar breaking in, ransacking your car and leaving without being caught: the average time for a burglar to do your car is 39 seconds.  That is a TV commercial break and a teaser for the Six O’Clock news. It takes you longer that to take a piss and wash your hands, and even longer for a woman.

And here are other interesting stats related to breaking in time:

Average burglary (From Door Opening to burglar exiting the vehicle with the goods): 39 seconds.

Fastest time: 3 seconds (Smash & Grab)

Longest time: 261 seconds (4 minutes, 21 seconds)

86% of the burglaries took under one minute.

Almost all  burglars will go fully inside the vehicle.  Center console, glove compartment and under the front seats seem to be the first places they check from what I was able to see. Rear seat, floors and door pockets close the line up. Trunks get very little consideration. Surveillance cameras and motion sensor lights have zero deterrent effect as they either don’t see the cameras, don’t care if they are there and do not get scared about lights. Noise however is different. Car alarms will send them running and in couple of instances I saw if they break glass at a car parked at home, they will move down the street and wait to see if somebody comes out. If nobody comes, then they take their time inside the car. They guy who did the 261 seconds was one of them.

One important thing I saw was that the most common thing they carried with them tool-wise was a small flashlight. I saw very few videos with burglars using tools and the feeling I have is that they specifically targeted already cased vehicles. Except in one occasion, the vehicles were working vans or trucks with tools inside. The exception was one car with six figures worth of jewelry in the trunk.

Other information I gathered:

Most cases involve one individual on foot.  Two may go on foot or one checking cars and one in a getaway car. Three or more tend to involve one getaway car (Car Hopping: A group may go through a neighborhood and discover several vehicles with their doors unlocked. From there they will “toss” the vehicle and take anything of value.) One burglar ransacking per car.

Tools: The few that broke windows, appear to use spring-loaded glass breaker, one had a small hammer and some sort of punch and another used a rock. For thee rest, several had just a flashlight to see the inside of the car and many wore gloves, probably as not to leave prints. I saw no pliers, bolt cutters, torches, etc.  with the regular burglars.  The only exceptions were only on a couple of work vehicles and I think they  had cased them prior to the burglary.

Most checked door: Driver’s door.

Let me repeat this again: Burglars do not care or don’t even bother to look for surveillance cameras.  They don’t mind the automatic flood lights either.

Last week I wrote a post about the rise in anti-Catholic bigotry in the Democrat party and how I believe it was associated with the Catholic Church’s continued stance against abortion.

This weekend went all out to prove me right.

The first story is about some Catholic School kids at the March for Life.

From CNN:

Teens in Make America Great Again hats mocked a Native American elder at the Lincoln Memorial

Mocked.  And how did they describe the scene?

A crowd of teenagers surrounded a Native American elder and other activists and mocked them after Friday’s Indigenous Peoples March at the Lincoln Memorial.

The kids surrounded the man.

Videos of the confrontation show a smiling young man in a red Make America Great Again hat standing directly in front of the man, who was playing a drum and chanting. Other kids could be seen laughing, jumping around and making fun of the chants.

They were wearing MAGA hats.

“I did not feel safe in that circle,” said Kaya Taitano, a student at the University of the District of Columbia who participated in the march and shot the videos.

She told CNN that the teens were chanting things like “Build the wall” and “Trump 2020.” Those chants were not audible in videos reviewed by CNN.

Those kids might have well shouted “Heil Hitler.”

What came next was immediate attacks from everyone on the Left.

Elizabeth Warren spent years advancing her career by lying about her non-existent Native American heritage.  Arguably that is terribly disrespectful, but being a Democrat means never having to have self awareness, so she Tweeted this.

Kathy Griffin wanted these kids doxxed.

John Yarmuth, the ranking member of the House Committee on the Budget Tweeted this.

He wants to ban kids from expressing themselves because of Trump, because the First Amendment takes a back seat to TDS.

Here is former governor, DNC presidential candidate, and DNC chair calling a Catholic School a “hate factory” and calling for it to be shut down.

Back to the CNN story:

Taitano said the whole incident started when the teens and four young African-Americans, who’d been preaching about the Bible nearby, started yelling and calling each other names. 

It got pretty intense, Taitano said, so Nathan Phillips, an elder with the Omaha tribe, started playing his drum and chanting what she was told was a healing prayer, to help defuse the situation.

Phillips walked through the crowd, and Taitano said things were starting to calm down until he got to the grinning boy seen in the video.

“This one kid just refused to move and he just got in Nathan’s face,” she said.
Other boys circled around, she said. “They just surrounded him and they were mocking him and mocking the chant. We really didn’t know what was going to happen there.”

It turns out that the more video exists.

The “four young African-Americans, who’d been preaching about the Bible nearby,” as it turns out were Black Hebrew Israelites.  If you have no idea what that is, it is a radical group that argues that blacks are the real Jews of the Bible and the Jews of Israel are Devil worshiping imposers.  It is a crazy, anti-semetic, black supremacist group.

They posted the video of their antics online, it has been mirrored and copied to you tube.  If you watch the whole video, or at least start at 45 minutes in, you can see these people cursing and screaming at these kids.

Going to about 1:11 in, you can clearly see the Native American man approach the crowd of kids and start banging his drum in their faces.

More video has surfaced and has been posted to Twitter showing that the supposedly aggressive and taunting behavior by these kids never happened.

Even the AP reported that the kids were not mocking the old man, and this from statements from other Native Americans.

With all the video evidence available, the media and Democrats are still pushing this narrative because they need to destroy a bunch of Catholic School boys showing support for the Right to Life.

If you go on Twitter, comment after comment about these kids is about how they are just like Brett Kavanaugh, i.e., entitled awful racist kids.  Just like in the Kavanaugh case, it doesn’t matter how thoroughly the accusations against Kavanaugh were debunked, the narrative was set and lives are going to be ruined because of it.

Here is celebrity Patton Oswalt dumping on this kid as the next Kavanaugh.

Yes, multiple Hollywood celebrities and Democrat politicians have gone on record with social media attacking this kid over a few seconds of out-of-context video.

Twitchy posted a thread from the brother of one of these kids, Tweeting about the harassment everyone in the family has faced in the last couple of days over this.  People have been contacting the poor boy’s perspective college demanding that they rescind their offer.

These poor kids are going to have this follow them around for life, because the Left decided to engage in a hatched job on some Catholic School boys.

Going all the way across the country to Hawaii, we are back discussing the anti-Catholic bigotry of Mazie Hirono.

Ben Sasse is about a mild a Republican as there is right now.  He’s little better than Jeff Flake was, and is not a Trump supporter.

He did the right thing for once and sought to enhance the protection of religious freedom in this country by reaffirming  the ban on religious tests for office.  Essentially reminding the Senate that holding a nominees membership in a religious organization like the Knights of Columbus, against them is tantamount to holding their religion against them.

In response, Senator Hirono said Ben Sasse had taken the “alt right position.”

This is meaningless except that “alt right” has become like “Nazi,” shorthand for “the Left hates you”

In one weekend we’ve seen the Women’s March and the new generation Democrats engaged in seething Antisemitism and the media and old guard of the Democrats engaged in seething anti-Catholicism.

Jew hatred, Catholic hatred, a desire to collectivize the economy and push political indoctrination through free education that mandates ideological coursework (“diversity” classes as required coursework for graduation), exactly what is separating the Democrats from the Nazis of 1936?

5 shot, 3 killed after homeowner opens fire on suspects during apparent home invasion

Authorities are investigating after dozens of shots were fired in east Houston.

According to a detective, the incident began as a home invasion at the 7000 block of Sherman.

Authorities say the homeowner defended himself when the suspects entered the home. Following the shooting, the suspects fled from the scene.

Police have set up a perimeter stretching from Harrisburg to Sherman to Capitol, along 71st Street.

At another scene, a vehicle was found about two blocks from the shooting, where a man was found dead in the backseat.

Authorities say that out of five people shot, three of them died. All were suspects in the alleged home invasion.

Five people were shot, all of them were home invaders.  Five.  Five home invaders.

Remember back in 2017 we covered a story about a home invasion in Oklahoma where three armed people broke into a house and were killed by a resident with an AR-15.  There was also a getaway driver in that case, bringing the total criminal count to four.

Then there was this home invasion in Georgia that was caught on security camera.

What makes you, or anybody else, think that when a home invasion happens it’s just going to be one bad guy.

There is a good chance it won’t be.

Multiple bad guys means multiple rounds fired.  Like Clint Smith says, people “shoot till it’s empty.”

In your boxer shorts late at night, you aren’t going to carrying reloads – you probably won’t have time to reload – you have what is in your gun.

When some politician says you only need 10 rounds, or seven, or five, or whatever, and that is enough for personal defense, they are full of shit.

When five people break into your home at night, few things even the score like a 30 round magazine.

Late last year Tablet Magazine published an expose on the antisemitism the existed from the founding of the Women’s March.

That article was the first snowflake to shift on the side of the mountain that led to an avalanche of accusations of antisemitism directed, rightfully so, at the Women’s March.  Eventually it got so bad that the Democrats had to drop their sponsorship of it.

Just a couple of days ago, one of the founders of the march, Tamkia Mallory did and interview in which she totally denied Israel’s right to exist.

Haaretz confirmed this.

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was at the Women’s March and was asked about antisemitism.  Her response was to blame Trump.

This comes as no surprise as anyone with a working knowledge of history know how bad Leftism and Socialism has been for the Jews.  She is just another link in a long chain of oppressors.

That this point, after all the exposure of the antisemitism inherent to the founding of the Women’s March, the women marching might as well be honest about how they feel and dress in brown shirts with swastika armbands.
