How in the F— is this legal?

Roads closed into New Mexico city to mitigate ‘uninhibited spread of Covid-19’

The governor of New Mexico declared a state of emergency Friday for the city of Gallup to “mitigate the uninhibited spread of Covid-19.”

The city is under emergency restrictions to control the outbreak, according to a statement from New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham.
All roads into the city have been closed, businesses must close between 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. and vehicles can only carry two individuals, according to the governor’s order. The governor is recommending that residents remain at home except for emergency outings and those essential for health and safety.

“I recognize this request is unusual and constitutes a drastic measure, and the emergency powers set out under the Riot Control Act should be invoked sparingly,” Gallup Mayor Louis Bonaguidi wrote in his letter. “However, the COVID-19 outbreak in the city of Gallup is a crisis of the highest order. Immediate action is necessary.”

Under the Riot Control Act, anyone who fails to comply with restrictions imposed under the act is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction of a second or subsequent offense is guilty of a fourth-degree felony.

The emergency order and road closures will be enforced by Gallup city police, the McKinley County Sheriff’s Department, the New Mexico State Police and state Department of Transportation. The New Mexico National Guard will provide support in a non-law enforcement capacity.

The police and New Mexico National Guard have shut down the roads going in and out of Gallup, essentially isolating the town.

Violators will be arrested.

Can anyone explain to me how in the fuck this is in any way Constitutional?

The Left again proves why they should not be allowed to control health care, they will control you by controlling it

It is clear that people want to return to work.

Federally subsidized unemployment checks might be good for some, but those do not cover the costs of a small business.

Business owners still owe rent, utilities, taxes, and licensing fees. People want to work. Mike Rowe is 100% spot-on, “there is no such thing as a non-essential worker.”  Putting 25% of the workforce out of work has harmed this county in ways we were unable to predict.  Farmers are letting food rot in the fields, culling herds, and dumping milk on the ground.  Who in some economic central planning bureau would have predicted that shutting down restaurants would have lead to the destruction of American agriculture?

We’ve seen how much Americans want normal services again and how people are trying to provide that in a black market.  We’ve seen women arrested for doing nails in their kitchens.  Tucker interviewed a barber who wants to reopen, saying that there are barbers doing black market haircuts in their garages.

I might know someone who maybe got one (no, I won’t tell you who).

Then there is the problem with doctors’ offices and hospitals having to furlough medical workers who are not fighting the Coronavirus while patients suffer from medical problems and are dying of non-COVID ailments.

It is a perversion that Orthopedists are being furloughed while people are bedridden in need of joint replacements, and hospitals are at 25% capacity and bored ER nurses are making TikTok videos.

Don’t get me started on the oppression of religious institutes during the Coronacrisis.

If you don’t live in a hot spot, life should return to 90% normal for you.  What I’ve heard and agree with is operating with additional precautions.  Reduce seating in restaurants.  Schedule hair and doctor appointments so that nobody is sitting in a waiting area or waiting room.  Work to keep everything just a little bit cleaner.

This would go a long way to help businesses and people.

Still.  There are some who believe that anything more open than people hunkering at home, living in fear is tantamount to murder.

These people have decided that if you go out, your medical care, in the rare case that you get COVID, is forfeit.

I’ve seen these floating around the internet:

You cannot un-ring the virus bell.  Once a virus is loose, it exists forever.

We may have mostly eradicated Polio and Smallpox in the US, but there are cases around the world, and occasionally in the US (usually an immigrant from a part of the world where it continues to exist).

Herd immunity and vaccinations might significantly reduce the incidence of the Coronavirus in the future, but it will never completely go away.

So how long does this forfeiture last?  If you get COVID six months or a year from now, do you still deserve it for not hunkering down in perpetuity?  Are you never allowed to get a haircut again without giving up your ability to go to the hospital if you get COVID?

The Left never shies away from the idea that anyone who disagrees with them should die.

This is politically motivated murder.  No different than the countless people in concentration camps and gulags who died of disease and not gas.

The Left can never be allowed to control health care because they will decide if you deserve to be treated because of your political beliefs.

When someone says: “You shouldn’t be allowed to go to the hospital if you get COVID because you wanted to take your kids to the playground.”

My response is: “Well, you should be put on your knees next to a ditch.”

Oregon will remain shut down till July 6th

Gov. Kate Brown signed an executive order Friday extending Oregon’s state of emergency to July 6 in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

The move comes roughly two months after the original declaration was signed March 8. It was set to expire May 7.

The new executive order gives the governor the legal authority to maintain the orders she’s issued thus far — including the stay-home order, a moratorium on residential and commercial evictions and other financial stimulus measures — and issue new ones as she sees fit, said Charles Boyle, a spokesman for the governor’s office.

Gov. Kate Brown extends Oregon coronavirus state of emergency to July 6

This is insanity. I have no idea how they are planning on keeping people sequestered that long. I know they are gonna try and bribe them, but the money will be useless if there is nothing to buy, specially food-wise.

And yes, the bribe is in the making:

Who wants to bet they will “hear the voice of the People” and loosen the restrictions just a bit but not enough to get back to work? Maybe something along the lines of:

Tell you what: You guys get to walk outside one hour in the mornings and one hour before sunset, once a week trip to the grocery store (no more than 2 hours)  and still get your $2,00 a month and don’t have to pay rent. How does that sound?”

And Antifa will be declared essential workers since they have the experience of being masked.

A tale of two Karens

The First Karen.

A buddy of mine sent me this Tweet:

The replies are epic.

My favorite (because I love this movie)

I’m going to have to agree with this person.

This Tweet is absolutely true:

And apparently she isn’t the only neighborhood Karen ratting people out.

Second Karen.

This article was posted in Medium (which I still believe is the most racest website on the internet).

The pandemic bread baking craze is so selfish

Written by Caren A. White, who is a real person and not a parody.  It is appropriate that her name is Caren with a “C” because you can guess what the “C” is for.

The original article has been deleted, along with the Medium account, but the internet is forever and you can see the original hyperlink.

I was walking down the baking aisle to see if the organic flour was on sale. Organic flour is expensive and I am poor so I always try to buy it when it goes on sale. There was no sale and no flour. The shelves were bare. My eyes traveled up to the top shelf. The shelf with the leavening ingredients. Also bare.

How could this be?

When I got home, I logged on to my laptop and started reading articles on the pandemic. I had stopped reading most pandemic related articles weeks ago because they were upsetting me too much. I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t concentrate. I needed to distance myself. But I knew that the pandemic had something to do with the bare shelves in the baking aisle so I exposed myself to the turmoil once more.

It seems that there has been a run on flour and yeast because people are bored so they are baking bread to pass the time.

Seriously?

Baking bread is a way of life for me, not a hobby. Not something to do just to pass the time. I don’t eat store-bought bread. I rarely eat prepared foods of any kind. If you visited my kitchen, you would find food but nothing to eat because I only stock ingredients. I do all of my own cooking and baking. On Saturday nights, I don’t order pizza, I make it. From scratch. Including the crust. I also grow my own popcorn, but that’s a topic for another day.

You see, I am one of THOSE people. You know the ones. You offer them a plate of food and they look at it suspiciously asking “Is that organic?” I want to know what is in my food so I make it myself. By the way, croutons? Made from my homemade bread. Breading for fried chicken? Made from my homemade bread. Stuffing for the Thanksgiving turkey? Made from my homemade bread. So when you buy up all of the flour and leavening ingredients for the sake of pretty photos on your Instagram feed you are literally taking food from my mouth. And the mouths of other families who also do their own their baking so that they can provide healthy food for their families.

Here’s the problem. It’s Economics 101. Supply and Demand. Before the pandemic, very few people did scratch baking so the grocery stores carried only limited supplies of flour and leavening. Both go bad, so they don’t want it hanging around the shelves for too long. Hence the limited quantities. That was okay. There was always enough for those of us who needed it. But there is not enough now that we are competing with a bunch of dilettante bakers who care nothing for anyone but themselves.
Yes, I know that sounds harsh, but I’m willing to bet that not a single one of them stopped to think as they grabbed the last of the flour and the yeast that they were robbing other people’s children of their daily bread. Nope. I’m certain all they cared about was how impressed everyone was going to be with their picture perfect loaves of bread.

Here’s an idea. If you are bored and want to learn new skills, why don’t you learn how to garden and impress everyone with your tomatoes? Or how about learning how to sew to make masks for hospitals and first responders? I know, learn to crochet so you can make those cute market bags for when you go to the farmer’s market.

But, please, please, I’m begging you, stop baking bread.

Holy shit, what a fucking bitch.  At least she has the self-awareness to recognize that she is “one of THOSE people.”  She is the kind of person what when you offer her food out of the goodness of your heart, she rejects it and interrogates you over the origins of the ingredients.

Not because she has some deadly allergy to something, but because she’s an organic food cultist.  Given that information, I suspect people do not offer her much food because she is an ungrateful garbage-person.

It didn’t dawn on her once that the bread baking other people were doing wasn’t because they wanted to make great bread for Facebook and Instagram and threw it out.  It was because store-bought bread was not available.  For two weeks in a row, there was no bread in the grocery store when went for our weekly shopping trip so we baked our own bread.

So when Caren says “I know that sounds harsh, but I’m willing to bet that not a single one of them stopped to think as they grabbed the last of the flour and the yeast that they were robbing other people’s children of their daily bread” what she really means is “my kids are more important than your kids and I want you to not bake for your children so I can bake for mine.”

This is the zenith of Karen hubris.  She was so dragged in the comments that she wiped her account.

My wife saw this and decided to do some baking just to put some spite into the eather for Caren.  She made very delicious homemade rolls and I grilled some burgers and we had burgers on homemade buns with homemade potato wedges.

We’ve seen a couple of cops respond to a woman in Wisconsin because some Karen ratted her out for letter her daughter play with a neighbor’s child during the lockdown.

I’ve covered how New York and LA are empowering their Karens to rat out their neighbors.

My favorite part of that story is how New Yorkers shut down the lockdown snitch site by flooding it with dick pics and Hitler memes.

I was talking to a buddy about this and I mentioned that I am reminded of the stories from the Allied liberation of Holland during WWII.  Women who fraternized with the Nazis were dragged from their homes, beaten, and had their heads shaved in the streets.

People do not like Nazi collaborators.

When all this is over, I wonder what will happen to the Karens of America, who made it their mission to rat out their neighbors and destroy any attempt at fun or normalcy during these stressful times.

I cannot believe that Americas tattle-told for mowing their lawns, going for walks, and letting their kids ride bikes are going to let bygones be bygones.

So if in June you see a middle-class white woman at the grocery store with a shaved head, you know what she did to her neighbors during the lockdown and be sure to treat her accordingly.

Went out for a drive yesterday.

I had been religiously inside for almost three weeks and I will admit it was getting somewhat annoying. Other than start a diet with the Noom app, read a lot, play World Of Tanks  and harass people online, I needed to get out. An urgent repair came to happen and I decided to use it as an excuse to go out with the missus.

The missus’ job was considered essential so she has been going out regularly.  Friday coming back home, she noticed that the traffic was a bit heavier than since the pandemic started, but yesterday it was like any other Saturday afternoon but with an extra touch of speeders and idiots who enjoyed cutting off people.

And, of course, you could see evidence of the extra dumb.

And truthfully, I can get used to the curbside pick up.

I noticed 99.99999% of people wearing masks and 0.0000001% wearing gloves. We wore our masks only when the associates came over to get our order numbers which requiring to lower the window. Other than that, we went clan inside our little metal bubble… plus it was humid and doing 90 effing degrees. The chances of catching something alive suspended in the air was pretty much insignificant.

What impressed me was the different plazas and how they were populated or not. Some without a supermarket or other priority store were just ghost towns. If the plaza had a Publix, you would be hard pressed to find a parking spot.

To everybody up north, have fun in your openings and I hope we can join you in a couple of weeks. Hopefully less.

Gun Control in Venezuela: Working like a charm.

It seems local gangs near my old stomping grounds have been exchanging fire for four days now. No cops are showing up to calm the situation. Maybe we will see the SWAT team come over, arrest or kill the first people they see and leave claiming victory.

And where the heck they get the auto Glocks?
