“That Officer Chauvin murdered George Floyd?” 99%. Wrong? Despite what people THINK the video “proves,” the evidence is still ambiguous.
You may not hear it from anybody but me, because it’s not politically popular and anyone taking this position is sure to be relentlessly assailed as a racist, when even Ted Cruz and the entire gun community is 100% CERTAIN THIS WAS MURDER, but THERE EXISTS A NARRATIVE OTHER THAN MURDER THAT’S CONSISTENT WITH THE VIDEO.
The mob is often mistaken, but never uncertain.
Who is the NEXT victim of the mob? You? Your wife? You son or daughter?
If #BlackLivesMatter had its way, Officer Chauvin would already have been pushed up against a wall and shot, or strung up from a streetlight.
So much for presumption of innocence, due process of law, and limiting our hate-filled opinions to subjects we actually have an informed knowledge of.
People suck.
If Officer Chauvin murdered Floyd, he’ll clearly be held accountable for it, as he is currently being held accountable per our legal norms.
But Chauvin merely being held accountable per the normal criminal justice procedures of our system doesn’t make anybody money, and it doesn’t get anyone free TVs, hot-air fryers, looted controlled substances from pharmacies, and righteous outrage.
“What could have saved Minneapolis from burning to the ground? Not the arrest of Chauvin–THAT had already happened. Would summary execution have been the only legal process acceptable to the raging mob? [AFB: I’m now hearing that earlier reports I’d seen that Chauvin has been arrested may have been in error–in any case, the system knows who he is, and he can be arrested at the system’s leisure.]”
Who is urging extra-judicial lynching now? #BlackLivesMatters? The irony–it burns.
Is THAT the world any of us want to live in?
And it’s not just Minneapolis–here in downtown Denver some poor woman simply driving in her car was attacked by a mob of male #Antifa cosplayers, struck one of them with her vehicle in terror after he jumped on her hood, and now SHE is supposed to be the one charged with attempted murder.
Jeepers. People suck.
Arm up, folks. Your city, your home, your family could be next.
