Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. If we can put a camera on every cop, we should have the technology for a saddle that can broadcast the William Tell overture.

  2. This is an excellent example of why large cities should have mounted units. There are just certain places that a patrol car cannot operate and a patrolman on bicycle or foot just doesn’t have the same ability to maneuver through a crowd the way a man on horse does. (Plus nothing out there matches the ability of a line of horses to disperse a riot.)

Sadly, the city of Portland disbanded our mounted unit a few years back.

    1. Why would it frighten a well trained horse? Horses can be trained to deal with gun shots (and obviously cop horses should be) — sirens would just be one more noise to train for.
