In Louisville, KY, BLM was literally demanding protection money. If you didn’t pay, they’d flood online sites with bad reviews of your place and “other penalties”. The demands were delivered with minor vandalism to make the point.
That was a month ago, I haven’t heard any updates since.
I bet the NYSAFE act makes those business owners feel really safe…
