CNN has been covering a story on how the Anthony Weiner scandal has been affecting the Clinton campaign.

CNN missed an opportunity here big time.  I would have gone with the headline:

Weiner rubbed off on Clinton

But I guess that is why I’m a blogger and not a journalist.

Groucho Marx once famously sent a telegram to a Hollywood club that said: “Please accept my resignation. I don’t want to belong to any club that will accept me as a member.”

I recently discovered a new website created by the Brady Campaign: lapdogscorecard.org

According to Brady A Lap Dog is a member of Congress that takes treats from the corporate gun lobby AND blocks progress on expanding Brady background checks. The rating applies to members of the 114th Congress.

Lap Dog Scorecard shows the picture of a state’s members of Congress, if they have a thumbs up or down rating from the Brady Campaign, how much money they took from the Gun Lobby, and if they meet the lap dog criteria.

This is their rating for Senator Marco Rubio, for example.

So lets see who the good guys are for the Brady Campaign.  The members of the Florida House of Representatives who aren’t lab dogs.  Those who got a thumbs up rating from Brady.

Up first we have Congressman Alan Grayson.

Thumbs up for a man who was accused of beating his wife.  This is also the man who got violent with a reporter who questioned Grayson about his domestic violence.  Grayson, with his Liberal populist rhetoric against Wall Street and the 1%, actually ran a Hedge Fund out of his Congressional office, violating Congressional ethics rules and the law.  Grayson tried to run for Senate in Florida, but was so burdened with scandals that even Harry Reid told him to back down.  When Harry Reid calls you out for being a piece of shit, you know that you are a real piece of shit.

Who else?

How about Congressman Alcee Hastings.

Before Hastings was  Congressman, he was a Federal Judge.  He is also the sixth judge in US history to be impeached by the United States Senate.  He was convicted by the Senate and removed from office for taking $150,000 in bribes.  Hastings corruption didn’t stop there, he was been investigated by the House Ethics Committee and is ranked No. 1 in the House for nepotism.  If that wasn’t enough, the House Ethics Committee had to reprimand Hastings for being sexually inappropriate with a subordinate.  All of this has earned Hastings a spot in Judicial Watch’s Top 10 Most Corrupt Politicians.

Can we do better?

Yes we can, in the form of Congresswoman Corrine Brown.

Brown was indicted on 22 charges of corruption for creating a fake charity to use as a slush fund.

Next up is Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Schultz was the keystone in the Hillary Clinton’s effort to corrupt the Democratic National Convention, violate DNC rules, and undermine the will of Democrat voters, to get Hillary ordained.  For her efforts, Schultz was sent home from the Convention early, to thunderous boos from the audience.

That’s quite a motley crew the Brady Campaign is giving thumbs up to, we’ve got corruption, illegal use of Congressional powers, bribery, extortion, and domestic violence.  It’s good to see that the Brady Campaign endorses such upstanding members of Congress.

I guess as long as you vote to take away American’s gun rights, it’s totally cool to beat your wife and steal money from people.

At this point, if I weren’t a principled gun rights enthusiast, I’d become a Lap Dog just to make sure that there was no way I’d be positively associated with the likes of these pieces of shit human beings.  No thank you.

I invite you to look up who is not a Lap Dog and has a Brady Campaign thumbs up in your state.  See just how many of Brady’s favorite members of Congress deserve to have their next term in a Federal prison.

Moms Demand Action made a post about an article from The Guardian: Colorado poll workers trained to respond to mass shooting.

The comments from the MDA peanut gallery are dangerously stupid.

According to them, it is all Trump and the NRA’s fault.  See Trump has been inciting violence and Trump supporters are going to shoot up polling places to get Trump elected.  Or something like that.

Never mind the Black Panthers providing “security” at Pennsylvania polling places in 2012.  Never mind that Democrat activists may have staged and incited violence at Trump rallies.  Never mind that Trump supporters have been attacked in San Jose, Minneapolis, all across America, and even into Canada.  Never mind the Left Wing #BLM riots in Milwaukee and Charlotte.  If there is going to be a shooting at a polling place, it is going to be Trump and the NRA that are responsible.

EXCEPT…

The Guardian article doesn’t say that at all.

Mass shootings can occur anywhere a lot of people gather for any event.  Like at a gay nightclub, an office Christmas party, a movie theater, or gun free college campuses in Santa Barbara or Oregon.

The common denominator in all those shootings was a shooter/shooters who targeted a large group of unarmed people, trying to send a message.

A polling place makes a pretty good target for anybody, regardless of religions or political ideology, who wants a lot of unarmed people packed into a small place.

Having security trained to deal with a mass shooter is not a bad idea.

The nutjobs at MDA want to make this into such an anti-Trump/anti-NRA thing.  That is terribly dangerous.  An attack can come from anywhere, and they want to be willfully blind to every direction but to the right.

Then there is this jackoff from Down Under.

Never mind that Australia’s gun buyback was an abysmal failure which accomplished little of nothing.  As it turns out, criminals didn’t hand over their guns, and now there are 260,000 illegal firearms floating around Australia, and violent crime is up.     Now Australia has to give criminals amnesty to try to get more guns off the streets.  Which, if you think about it, should work about as well as the buyback, i.e., not at all.

The sweet air of freedom in Australia stinks a lot like oppression.  Welcome to Australia 2016, where freedom is slavery is the motto.

Forgive me if I don’t want to take advice from this guy.

The Left has gone nuts trying to push the idea of Affirmative Consent in sexual acts, which is defined as “affirmative, conscious, and voluntary agreement to engage in sexual activity” every step of the way.  Affirmative Consent, when taken literally, makes any sex act rape unless it is explicitly consented to.  This is now the new legal standard for sex on California college campuses.

Now lets hop over to Europe, where the Left loves to take its cues from.  The Austrian Supreme Court overturned the conviction of a 20 year old Iraqi immigrant man, who raped a 10 year old boy in a public pool.  The Iraqi man said that he had a “sexual emergency” since he had left his wife back in Iraq and had not had sex in four months, so had to rape the 10 year old.  The Austrian Supreme Court decided that because the man was from Iraq, and had different cultural norms than Europeans, he couldn’t be sure the 10 year old – who had to be hospitalized because of the attack – did not want to be raped.

Let me say that again.

The Austrian Supreme Court said that an Iraqi man could not have raped a 10 year old boy, because the Iraqi man didn’t know that the 10 year old didn’t want to be raped, because of cultural differences.

The Left in America has no logical or moral consistency.  So what happens when President Hillary Clinton brings in tens-thousands of Middle Eastern refugees?

Will Affirmative Consent hold fast, or will Affirmative Consent only apply Americans, and Islamic migrants get a pass because of religious and cultural differences, the way they do in Europe?

My money is on the later.

I am going to spell this out very clearly, so that in the coming years, the powers that be cannot deny that they have been warned.

The Left better not attempt to ignore or normalize sexual assault or rape by Islamic migrants, and decide that laws against rape and sexual assault don’t apply because of cultural differences.

The day that I have to worry that some migrant suffering from a “sexual emergency” is in the locker room of the Y, is the day the I decide that the “no guns allowed” sign on the front door of the Y doesn’t apply to me because of cultural differences too.

It’s my Don’t Tread On Me American culture, and those of us who abide those cultural norms have no qualms against blowing away anyone who lays a hand on our wives or children with malicious intent.

The refugee who tries to have a “sexual emergency” with my son won’t have the luxury of a court overturning his conviction, because I will have already had a “Golden Saber emergency” in his direction.

I know that I am not alone.

A few hours after finishing this post, I was going through my usual list of European news sites to check up on and I caught this article: Migrant foster mum reveals her horror at discovering ’12-year-old refugee’ in her care is actually a 21-year-old Jihadi.

Overturning a conviction for the rape of a 10 year old by a 20 year old migrant over cultural differences was not the worst news of the day.  The UK had to go full retard, and then some.

It has been news for some time that some refugees are falsely claiming to be children to get preferred refugee status.  This is the first case I’ve heard of where an adult refugee “child” has been adopted by a foster family.

Alarm bells rang when the family went swimming and Rosie’s [the foster mom] 13-year-old commented on how hairy he was… On a bus to college he was told to get off by a driver who didn’t believe he was 16. Rosie, who lives in the South East, said: “It’s ridiculous how everybody else could see it but not the social workers.”

Alarm bells didn’t go off when she first laid eyes on Jamal?

At a climbing centre he shimmied up ropes with ease, and at a shooting range he stripped a gun before firing it…  Jamal’s behaviour worsened. He put the 13-year-old in expert holds, demanded cash and got calls from unknown numbers.

Great, he’s gotten some terrorist training too.

Here is where this goes from scary to full on horrifying.

He roomed with a boy, aged 13. Two girls, 12 and 14, were also in the house…  His last words to Rosie were: “I’ll kill you and I know where your children are.”

It’s a good thing, I guess, that Jamal was JUST a terrorist and didn’t have a “sexual emergency” with his foster family.

Let me say this again, in America, we are just a little different than they are in Europe.

Where I live, if a nice middle class family has a sleep over for their 12 year old, and Jamal the 21 year old terrorist shows up with a bedroll, we’re not going to put up with that.  If Jamal the 21 year old terrorist thinks he can threaten his way into getting what he wants, the only thing 12 about the situation will the the gauge of buckshot load he takes to the chest.

If the vetting process Clinton intends to put in place is anywhere near as good as the one the UK or Sweden has, Clinton needs to realize the American people will do their own vetting – with a vengeance.

I really hate having to defend Trump, but I find the lying and distortions by the media to be even more unpalatable.

It may be unprecedented for a presidential candidate to say that he won’t trust the results of an election if he loses.  This may be Trump being his typical over-the-top loudmouth self.

But I need to take his statement with a little dose of reality.

One of the things that Wikileaks has shown us was just how much the Hillary Clinton campaign, along with the DNC, cheated to knock Bernie Sanders out of the primary.

Now, all of a sudden I am supposed to believe that these same people who brazenly violated the will of Democrat primary voters will play the national presidential election totally, 100% clean?

They really do think we are that stupid.

It is infuriating.

In a follow up to my last post, it seems that Amy Schumer couldn’t help but double down and issue a non-apology for imploding her show in Tampa.

“Dearest Tampa: I’m sorry you didn’t want me, a comedian who talks about what she believes in, to mention the biggest thing going on in our country right now,” she read from an “open letter” at Madison Square Garden. “How could I think it was OK to spend five minutes having a peaceful conversation with someone with different views?”

Really?  So for her “having a peaceful conversation with someone with different views” is ridiculing a whole bunch of people to their faces, then bringing one person up on stage to berate them for their beliefs.

“After the show, I want you to know that I will go straight to a rehab facility that will teach me how to make all people happy — both the rich, entitled, white people who are gonna vote for him and the very poor people who’ve been tricked into it.”

No, toots, you don’t get it.  This is the problem with celebrities and the super rich.  They get it into their heads that because they make more money and are more famous than most people, they are smarter than us and are always right about everything and can lecture us at any time about any issue.  Insulting your audience is also not a wise move.

The people who went to her show went to see a stand-up routine, not hear an unsolicited political diatribe.  Her job is tell jokes, when she is on stage doing a show that people paid for, her job is to do a routine that people expect.  When her customers are disappointed that they didn’t get the service they paid for, they left.

Being a comedian doesn’t change the fact that people paid for tickets with a certain expectation, and an anti-Trump lecture was not part of that.  Would that behavior be expected with any other job?

If your mechanic is charging you by the hour, would you want to pay if he took 15 minutes in the middle of fixing your alternator to give you an anti-gun lecture?

Of course not.

How would my clients like it if when I wrote up a report on a heat treat analysis and included in my report a page about Hillary Clinton’s corruption?

Why is it any different for Schumer.  It’s not, and that’s why people walked out.  It’s in part why the NFL is seeing a decline ratings, people want to watch football to enjoy some TV, and when the players are protesting and ESPN is now more political than MSNBC people are turning it off.

The once great George Carlin did political humor.  Back in the day, he was anti-establishment and it was funny.  There is good political humor.  During the GW Bush administration he just became a hack.  His routine was not funny, it was just one long anti-Bush tirade, and it didn’t do well.   He killed is own career going from making fun of politicians to being hyper partisan.  Very few people wanted to sit through a 90 minute show where every punchline was – quite literally – “fuck Bush.”

Tell your jokes, throw the ball, sing the songs we want to hear, and don’t berate your audience with your political opinions while you are on their dime.

But no.  Schumer, instead, is going to prove just how nasty and scolding a person she is.

“I look forward to putting this all behind us in a couple weeks when Hillary Clinton is our mother——- president!” she said. 

Just yuck!
