I saw Miguel’s two posts on the NRA-AM and the banning of weapons during VP Mike Pence’s speech.

Of course the Parkland anti-gun crowd will accuse of hypocrisy because they don’t understand our position, and they don’t want to.  They (I know because I heard this on Friday night) think that we “want everyone to have machine guns everywhere.”

Never mind that I’ve never actually heard the NRA say they want children to be able to buy Uzis, that’s what they say we say to they can atrack the Strawman NRA for being unreasonable.

The challenge to us is to point out that there is no hypocrisy.

The NRA has always, first and foremost, been about obeying the law.  We work to change the law in our favor, but above all, we are strongest as law abiding gun owners.

As long as the law says you can’t carry a gun near the POTUS or VP, we will obey it.

That’s not hypocrisy, that is obeying with a law even if we don’t agree with it.

Not following laws we don’t like is for Progressive Democrats in sanctuary cities.

Hypocrisy is being an aide to and anti-gun politician and getting busted with a gun with an obliterated serial number.

Parkland kids should really be good at identifying hypocrisy, since that is thier modus operandi.

Hypocrisy is complaining on the news how politicians don’t listen to you after personally insulting them and hanging up on the White House when they call. 

Hypocrisy is whining about being the victim of bullying after becoming famous for calling NRA members terrorists, saying Republican politicians have blood on thier hands, and organizing boycotts against the supporters of people you disagree with.

Make them say it out loud: “the NRA are hypocrites for saying law abiding gun owners should obey the law.”  Make them argue against that position.

BLOODBATH Nine schoolchildren stabbed to death and 12 injured ‘after bullied ex-pupil launched massacre’

Starbucks was forced to institute Racial Bias Training which will cost upwards of $30 million, and predictably, will piss off shareholders.

“I think it is overkill, closing Starbucks stores for an afternoon of training,” Newsome, chief financial officer for the City of Flint, Mich., told The Post.

“If I am a shareholder, and an African-American, white, Asian, or of whatever background, I am going to be furious at Starbucks.”

Industry bean counters say it’ll take plenty of coffee sales to offset Starbucks’ lost revenue on May 29 as baristas take notes.

One black man managed to use this brouhaha to con Starbucks into free “reparations” coffee.  Another decided to “gotcha video” himself being denied bathroom access in a different Starbucks because victim cred is even more valuable than a free coffee.

O’Brien is her birth name, her dad being of Irish and Scottish heritage and born in Australia and her mom being Afro-Cuban.  Also with her $3 million per year salary I’m sure she can also afford whatever luxury protects she wants.  Even when she travels on Hearst’s dime, I doubt the bean counters there will make her stay at a Holiday Inn.

Tat should be enough but I think there needs to be a principle of parsimony specifically for these types of issues: Never attribute to racism/bigotry that which is adequately explained by economics.

I would assume that hotel shampoo is shit because hotels try to buy the cheapest stuff they can get away with when they give it away for free.  I’ve never stayed in a hotel and through to myself “this free coffee that they have in my single serving coffee machine is the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had.”

Personally I bring my own soap and shampoo in my travel kit just like I bring my own toothbrush and toothpaste.  Then again, I don’t go around with a multi million dollar income looking to become a victim.

Hopefully this shit will blow over.  There is no incriminating video to go along with it.  Also the fix is easy, hotels will just stop stocking that stuff and make it by request at the front desk like the “I had my toothpaste confiscated by the TSA” toothpaste.  It will save them money.

My son loves all things mechanical.

I am convinced he is the second coming of Kelly Johnson.  He builds airplanes out of Legos and explains to me in great detail, for an almost-four-year-old, how “the turbines make it go super speed.”  His is meticulous about sided to side symmetry and I swear his models fit the Whitcomb area rule.

Beyond airplanes, he points out every part of my truck and tells me what it does.

He counts everything, although he has trouble once he gets into the 30’s, and has started to grasp addition.

I haven’t drilled this into him.  He has picked all this up on his own.

I glad we live in Huntsville, because if there is anyplace where his love of aerospace will be fostered, it will be here.

It really doesn’t surprise me then that only 22% of NY 8th graders have proficiency in math, or that 32 NYC middle schools had less than 10% math proficiency and that under the progressive administration of Commissar de Blasio 4th graders saw a 7% drop in math proficiency.

Washing DC, likewise, only has 10% math proficiency for graduating seniors.

Half of Baltimore schools have 0% math proficiency.

I’m sure, however, that all these students know their 31 state recognized genders and the hierarchy of intersectionality.

It’s not important to know how to do math because math skills are racist.  What is important is knowing how to call out people who do have math skills for their white privilege.

In reading stuff like this I have come to the realization that in H.G. Wells’ The Time Machine, the Eloi are not the good guys and the Morlocks are not the bad guys.

Remember that in The Time Machine the Eloi have no idea how to use any of the technology that sustains them, they have no economy, and when they are in trouble they totally unable to help themselves (the other Eloi stood around and watched as Weena drowned).

The Morlocks took care of the Eloi, and in return, ate them.  The Eloi were human cattle.

These progressives like Jessica Valenti are happy to use twitter and Facebook and technology while systematically destroying the  educational system needed to produce people who know how to maintain and create technology.

So when I read an article about how a biological woman who identifies as a lesbian is married to a trans-woman who is an intact biological male, and they want to have a baby but can’t figure out how to make that work, my inner Morlock says “these Eloi can’t even figure out how to breed on their own.”

At least as a Morlock I have a solid know-how to effectively use both a socket set and my dick.

Ted Lieu is the Congressman from California’s 33rd district, which represents part of Los Angeles.

Lieu’s credentials would seem to be impeccable.  He is a graduate of Georgetown Law, was editor of the Georgetown Law Review, and is a Colonel in the Air Force Reserve JAG office.

Unfortunately, politics is a corrupting force and becoming Congressman has rotted his brain and turned his soul into absolute dog shit.

According to the news “Trump’s lawyer to plead Fifth Amendment in Daniels case.”  Why?  Because it’s his right to do so.  It’s also the smart thing to do.  When it doubt, plead the Fifth.

The text of the Fifth Amendment is:

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

What was Lieu’s response to this?

This is toeing the line of a Griffin error and is named for a SCOTUS case, Griffin v. California.  In a nutshell, a prosecutor cannot say “invoking the 5th Amendment right not to testify against yourself is evidence of guilt and the jury should convict.”

There is also a 4th Amendment equivalent – refusing to consent to a search is not probable cause for a search.

Well, when it comes to Trump, throwing the Constitution out the window it just another work day.  Why uphold Griffin when Trump is in office.

Ben Shapiro called Lieu out on this, to which Lieu doubled down in the worse possible way.

The Fifth Amendment protects defendants in a court of law. It does not protect a person in the court of public opinion. Do you read the Constitution differently?

This is a Congressman and lawyer saying “if we can’t convict you, we’ll destroy your reputation.”  This is well outside the bounds of ethical behavior.

Lieu’s interpretation of the Constitution justifies show trials to ruin people.

The Democrat Part that Lieu represents isn’t about the law or the Constitution, it is about the total destruction of anybody on the other side.

This is frightening as hell coming from a sitting Congressman.

So David Hogg is running around the country throwing up the revolutionary power fist, saying the most vile things about lawful gun owners, staging boycotts against anyone who challenges him, and organizing rallies to take away law abiding citizens’ Constitutional rights.

Kyle Kashuv has been meeting with Congressmen, Senators, Governors, and people of importance to try and pass legislation that will help prevent school shootings.

Kyle seemingly is not a fan of big government and supports the Second Amendment.   Which makes sense for someone who’s life was risked when government failed to do thier jobs.

Kyle went to a range with his dad and was given instructions on how to shoot an AR-15 under supervision and in compliance with the law.

Because of his anti anti-gun opinion, a MSD teacher abused his authority to denounce Kyle in the strongest terms Progressives have.
