My sentiment

I saw Miguel’s post A lot of people are echoing the sentiment.

I went all the way back to the source of this on Twitter.

I screen grabbed a little back and forth that I felt was appropriate

I’m not going to be coy.

I am going to be honest, by way of a rambling anecdote.

I don’t get along at all with my fellow Jews on the topic of politics.

I was at a Seder a few weeks ago at the Conservative synagogue in town.  The high holidays brings out people who are not regular attendees so events like this give an opportunity to meet new people.

I’m talking to some of the other people at my table and they ask what I do.

Oh I’m an engineer

“Where?”

“[Company in the defense industry].”

And a hush falls over the the table.  Jews don’t do that in America.  We don’t work with guns and grenades and stuff like that.

“What do you like to do for fun?

I shoot.  IDPA and USPSA mostly.

Silence.  Jews don’t do the gun thing.  This is not the first time something like this happened to me.  It was worse in Illinois.  At least in Alabama it is understood there is a gun culture.  Jews plus Chicago means no tolerance for guns at all.

The topic of politics comes up and I am the lone Conservative.  Why?

My answer is simple.  History has shown us they big government is bad for Jews.  You name a time and place in history, the Greek Empire, the Roman Empire, the Monarchies of Europe, German Nazism, Communism, wherever there is big government, there is oppression of the Jews.

Even in the USA, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the grandpappy of American progressive big goverment murdered Jews when he had the St. Louis turned away from American port and sent back to Germany.  Yes, Democrats own that.  Put that polio crippled dick in your mouth and suck it supporters of FDR.

So I am an advocate of small government.

Then of course since I poked the Holocaust topic by bringing up Nazism and FDR, I ask the question.

I agree, Never Again.  You agree, Never again.  Never Again.  So what are you going to do about it?”

That’s when shit goes south.  I get a lot of namby pamby answers.

Alright, so it’s 2039.  Enough Social Justice Warriors get elected and stack the Supreme Court.  The decide that the 14th Amendment doesn’t apply to the Jews because… Israel.  Now American Jews have to be exterminated for justice for Palestine.  The concentration camps are being fenced in, the gas chambers are being built, and college kids are tweeting selfies of themselves standing next to containers of hydrogen cyanide with the hashtags #DeathToTheJews and #JustiveForPalestine.  What the fuck do you do.”

Crickets.  They figured that they could write compelling Facebook posts or vote for their Congressman or maybe write a letter to the editor of the local news paper and stop it.  We’re past that now.

This is where guns come in.  This is where I start to quote Solzhenitsyn.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

I am an angry, vengeful, mean fucking person.  The only way to stop your people from being put into mass graves is to put the people who are trying to put you into mass graves in mass graves.

It doesn’t sound noble but it is the undeniable lesson of history.

Look at Rwanda.  The Canadian peacekeepers tried to be all polite and stick to the UN rules of engagement.  What happened?  Canadian peace keepers stood around with their thumbs up their asses and watched as Hutus wielding  machetes butchered Tutsis.

If your goal is to save innocent Tutsis, when the mob of Hutus with machetes shows up yelling “cockroaches” you open up on them with something big bore and belt fed like the climax of Rambo 4.

BTW, Rambo 4 is the greatest morality play ever put on film.  A bunch of liberal, pacifists armed with nothing but the best of intentions get raped, tortured, and murdered by evil people with impunity until an American starts killing the evil people with one of John Moses Browning’s inventions.

The next argument I hear is “you can’t expect Jews to have stood up against German soldiers going into their homes with machine guns.”

First of all, I do.

Second, that is the last step.  Why is that these people always seem to thing that the first people targeted should be the 19 year old fresh out of boot camp?

The first people on the to kill list should be every member of the SS who met at a chateau in Wannsee who came up with the final solution.  Kill the guy following orders if you have to, but your priority should be killing the guy giving the orders and his supporters.

Then I hear the typical “isn’t that stooping to their level?”

This isn’t a fucking chess game.  If the situation is ‘I lose and my kids go into a gas chamber’ than it is a no holds barred fight.  If my kids don’t get to sleep soundly in their beds, neither do theirs.

So how does that translate to the gun rights issue?

I’ve seen a lot of opinions online since Parkland that echo the sentient “if you want us to take them from your cold dead hands, we will.”

The “we” of course is not the activists saying that.  They want to elect people and pass laws that send the police out to make gun owners’ hands cold and dead.

The way I see it, the people saying “if you want us to take them from your cold dead hands, we will,” be they celebrity activists, land-whale social justice college professors, or anybody in between, might as well be tweeting from a chateau in Wannsee.  They are the ones planning the final solution to the gun control question.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.  I have studied history, and I know it repeats itself.

Next time around, if the shit hits the fan and there are going to be mass graves, I fully intent to be filling them, not lying in one.

It’s starting in Nebraska

I’ve seen two stories out of Nebraska of all places that do not bode well for the nation.

Two UNL profs protest against NRA lobbyist; one faces property destruction charge.

Two University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty members took their protests against the National Rifle Association to Virginia, and one faces a misdemeanor charge of property destruction.

The two — Amanda Gailey, associate professor of English, and Patricia Hill, a research assistant professor of sociology — separately participated in protests against NRA lobbyist Chris Cox of Alexandria, Virginia.

Protest is a mild word here.  They went to his house and frightened his children.  They threw fake blood on his home.  They tried to destroy his wife’s interior decorating business by creating a fake website for her with pictures of dead kids.

Now ant-gun activists in the Cornhusker State are targeting the home of Linicoln area Congressman Jeff Fortenberry.  Leaving vulgar anti-gun signs in his front yard to scare his children.

It’s one thing to protest at the NRA headquarters or a Congressman’s office.  It is another to take it to the homes of lobbyists and members of Congress and frighten their children.

That is an intimidation tactic.

They will try and take your rights away and if they have to terrorize people’s children to do it, so be it.

This is a very dangerous game they are playing.

Some pigs are more equal than others

From the New York Post:

Judge: Bars are allowed to throw out Trump supporters

Cheers, Trump haters.

A Manhattan judge ruled Wednesday that there’s nothing “outrageous” about throwing the president’s supporters out of bars — because the law doesn’t protect against political discrimination.

Philadelphia accountant Greg Piatek, 31, was bounced from a West Village watering hole in January 2017, just after Trump took the oath of office, for wearing a “Make America Great Again” cap, according to his lawsuit over the incident.

Anyone who supports Trump — or believes in what you believe — is not welcome here! And you need to leave right now because we won’t serve you!” Piatek claims the staff of The Happiest Hour on West 10th Street told him after he and his pals complained about the rude service they were getting from a bartender.

So he sued in Manhattan Supreme Court, claiming the incident “offended his sense of being American.”

But on Wednesday, when the bar’s lawyer, Elizabeth Conway, pointed out that only religious, and not political, beliefs are protected under state and city discrimination laws, saying, “supporting Trump is not a religion” — Piatek pivoted.

Bake that cake you bigot, and you better that man into the ladies room with your wife and daughters.  But if you are one of the 46.1% of Americans who voted for the current president, you can kindly fuck off.

I guess in New York City, some pigs are more equal than others.

We knew that Governor Cuomo didn’t want us in “his” state and the Mayor of the Big Apple hates our favorite chicken restaurant.  Now the courts have decided that equal protection under the law doesn’t apply to Republicans.

If you throw two men out of you business for sitting at a table and wanting to use the restroom without being paying customers, Social Justice activists will bring your business to its knees.  If you throw out paying customers for supporting the President, fuck them.

Trying not to die by her own hand

Joy Reid made some blog posts 12 years ago that today’s Woke standards are transphobic and anti-gay.  She and MSNBC are claiming that her website – and the archives of it – were hacked.  This is obviously some first level bullshit.

Tucker Carlson asked the question, why not admit that her opinion has changed over the last 12 years.

That’s the kind of thing that an adult would do, right?

The answer to Tucker’s question is: Joy Reid knows the rules her team plays by and is desperately trying not to get destroyed by them.

Take the case of the statue of James Marion Sims.  Doctor Sims is the father of gynecology.  He invented a medical tool still used today and pioneered the repair of vesicovaginal fistulas.

Vesicovaginal fistulas were a common complication of childbirth in which a hole would open up between the vagina and bladder causing… problems.

At the time, treatment of women’s medical issues was not done, it was considered immoral.  A man does not look down there on a woman, even is he is her doctor.  The most revolutionary thing Sims did was address gynecological care as medicine and not a taboo.

He saved lives.

However he did his first procedures on slaves.  It was Alabama in the late 1840’s.  These were women who already had the condition and he needed patients to develop his technique on.

This is how the Washington Post chose to frame the issue: “The first patient to endure James Marion Sims’s experimental surgery in 1845 was named Lucy. Lucy, an enslaved black woman in Alabama, remained on her hands and knees on top of a table for more than an hour as Sims sought to repair a hole between her bladder and vagina...”

Oh my god, what a Mengele he was.  Oh wait, maybe not.  But he didn’t use anesthesia because he was a racist.  Well, int he 1840’s very few doctors used anesthesia.  It was in its infancy and patients were as likely do die from that as from the surgery or post-op infection.  In the beginning of the Civil War, soldiers were undergoing bullet extraction and amputation without anesthesia.  Only because of the incredible number of casualties did doctors have the ability to learn how to anesthetize patients without killing them and the use of anesthesia become wide spread.  So a doctor performing surgery in 1849 without anesthesia was the norm.

But none of this mattered.  “Why a Statue of the ‘Father of Gynecology’ Had to Come Down.  J. Marion Sims’s advances in medical science were made through experimentation on enslaved women.”  So the man who pioneered a field of medicine, making women’s care respectable, developing live saving procedures has to be memory holed because he did things that were socially acceptable in the 1840’s.

Welcome to woke feminism.  It is better that women be allowed to suffer from genital trauma and death for another half century until middle class white women would volunteer for experimental procedures than perform successful surgeries on 12 of 13 slave women (one died of infection).

So if a revolutionary doctor can be obliterated by society 169 years after his contributions to women’s health care for racism, a low rating TV host can be thrown away for her 12 year old anti-LGBT statements.

These are the rules Joy Reid played by and now that she might fall victim to them, she is like a rat in a sinking ship desperate to avoid being tied to a less than perfectly woke history.

I have no sympathy for Joy Reid because I loathe the world she lives in.

She is priming America for a norm in which person might hear from HR “yes, your credentials are good and your work history is excellent, but because you made a disparaging comment about a  a gay classmate on Facebook 32 years ago, we are going to have to pass you over for a management position.”

And that should frighten the fuck out of everybody.

Thar she blows

Randa Jarrar is a professor of English at Fresno State.

So right now if your prejudice leads you to think that she is a miserable, hateful progressive, that despises America, Conservatives, Jews, and everyone to the right Bernie Sanders, and lashes out at them with Social Justice jargon on social media… you are right.

She came to national prominence because of some tweets she made about the passing of Barbara Bush.

Some people suggested that she be fired for this.

I am of two minds about that.  One the one hand she does have a freedom of speech.  That is her inalienable right.  On the other, this is the kind of shit that causes donors and alumni to stop writing checks to the school, and does a school have the right to get rid of faculty that hurts the reputation of the institution.

She doubled down with an epic level of gloating about her salary and tenure.

Now she had enraged enough people that her twitter history started to become public.

Her hatred of Barbara Bush was only the tip of her racist, progressive iceberg.

And a whole bunch of awful shit that will take up too much space to cover here.

Then videos of her surfaced calling for Leftists to engage in acts of terrorism.  She praises hijackers and terrorists who killed Americans.  And she’s all about buying guns to engage in Left Wing violence.

Now I am all about the Second Amendment.  Just like her freedom of speech, she has the right to keep and bear arms.

I’m not too terribly worried however, because this is exactly what she looks like.

  1. She doesn’t look all that combat effective.
  2. That’s a big fucking target.

Right now Professor Jarrar the Hutt is just mouthing off on social media and at places where her Che-like, progressive, revolutionary chic gets her accolades and applause.

Just remember that he hates you and wants to kill you, and she represents the California State University system.

This is why I want a national divorce.  I’d rather separate from her peacefully than deal with her terrorism.

However, if shit does go down in Fresno, it will finally be the excuse I need to buy a Greener harpoon gun.

Murder is the national past time of socialists

Alfie Evans is a sick little boy in the UK.  He was developmentally delayed, then he went into a coma, them he was put on life support.   His parents wanted to take him to Italy or Germany for an experimental procedure.

The British National Health Service took them to court and had a judge order that the boy not be allowed to leave the country and now thr boy’s life support has been removed.

This is full blown socialism in the UK.  The sanctity of life is subjugated to the whim of bureaucracy by a judge’s order.  Alfie was just a little boy and his life is far less important than the bean counting of the NHS.

Today another child was murdered in the UK.  Not by some thug with an unregistered pair of pinking shears but by a judge’s gavel.

The nation the birthed the age of enlightenment has fallen into darkness.

Thomas Locke and William Blackstone have been replaced by Marx and Engels.

God save the Kingdom because the Parliament and Judiciary are killing its subjects.

BSO finally “did something” and it’s wrong

The Broward County Sheriff missed warning after warning that Nikolas Cruz was a potential school shooter.

Once the shooting started, deputies of the Coward Broward County Sheriffs Department waited outside of Marjory Stoneman Douglass High School on Valentine’s Day and waited while students were being killed.

Video was released of a Broward SRO going on a joy ride on a golf cart once the shooting began.  This prompted a judge to order more videos to be released.

Sheriff Isreal defended himself on CNN saying that he gave “amazing leadership” and then dismissing Jake Tapper’s question in an embarrassing and nonsensical way, showing just how little he cared about his actual job.

The situation has gotten so out of hand that deputies of the BSO are holding a no confidence vote against Sheriff Israel.

The whole of the BSO is one giant cluster fuck.

Just a few days ago, MSD student and one of the few people actually doing some good, Kyle Kashuv went to a shooting range with his dad, and under supervision learned to shoot a gun.

This is where the Broward County Sheriffs Department decided to step in.

Then a third officer from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office walked in, and began asking me the same questions again. At that point, I asked whether I could record the interview. They said no. I asked if I had done anything wrong. Again, they answered no. I asked why I was there. One said, “Don’t get snappy with me, do you not remember what happened here a few months ago?”

They continued to question me aggressively, though they could cite nothing I had done wrong. They kept calling me “the pro-Second Amendment kid.” I was shocked and honestly, scared. It definitely felt like they were attempting to intimidate me.

I was treated like a criminal for no reason other than having gone to the gun range and posted on social media about it.

Because the one MDS student who didn’t turn into an anti-gun fascist went to a shooting range, he’s now a suspected threat.

No, of course there was nothing political about that.  Perish the thought.

It’s clear that Sheriff Isreal is just Captain Peter Wrong Way Peachfuzz with a badge.  Not just can’t he do anything to stop an obvious threat, he has to have his deputies intervene against the one kid there who is quite possibly the least threatening one of all.
