HBO has decided to replace it with a new show called Confederate.

HBO has given a straight-to-series order to Confederate from Emmy-winning GoT creators, writers, and producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss.

 The show “chronicles the events leading to the Third American Civil War. The series takes place in an alternate timeline, where the southern states have successfully seceded from the Union, giving rise to a nation in which slavery remains legal and has evolved into a modern institution. The story follows a broad swath of characters on both sides of the Mason-Dixon Demilitarized Zone – freedom fighters, slave hunters, politicians, abolitionists, journalists, the executives of a slave-holding conglomerate and the families of people in their thrall.”

On behalf of Southerners and those with a modicum of understanding about economics, FUCK YOU.

Let’s be honest.  This show is about beating up on the South for being a bunch of racists.

Let’s forget the moral argument against slavery for a minute.  Let’s forget that  just about every Western nation abolished slavers in the mid to late 1800’s.

Let’s focus entirely on the practical issue of slavery here.

For their show to make sense, they have to throw out EVERY economic textbook and craft a shittier premise than Bernie Sanders’ understanding of single payer healthcare.

Slavery exists today only in third world shit-holes.  Why?  Because it is economically unfeasible in a technologically advanced world.

This is a modern John Deere cotton picking machine.

Ask yourself this question: how many slaves would you have to have and how hard would you have to whip them to get them to pick cotton by hand that fast.

The answer is: it’s not humanly possible.   The return on investment of slaves would be orders of magnitude less than any modern industrialized agricultural equipment.  The US is the 3rd largest food producer in the world, with less than 2% of the population actually engaged in farming.  In 1860,  53% of the population was engaged in agriculture.  That decrease is entirely driven by technology, not beating slaves into doing more labor.

Today, we are seeing robots replace migrant farm workers.  They are faster, don’t damage the produce, and they don’t shit in the lettuce fields and cause e. coli outbreaks.

But J. Kb.  What about manufacturing, heavy industry, mining?

Well, I work in manufacturing.  Robots have taken over for the same reasons.

Even when you have to have stuff hand assembled, slaves are a poor choice.  One of the biggest issues we have is low skilled workers.  We need skilled people to run the equipment, know what they are doing, and build quality products.

It used to be against the law to teach a slave to read and write.  So tell me how you get an educated workforce that knows how to read machine drawings and import CAD files into a CNC and can’t read or write?

You can’t.

The industrial revolution ended the economic viability of slavery in large scale production.

But the writers of this show wont think about that.

This is Trump’s America, and they just want to beat up on the South.  They will be as cruel to us as they are to the illegal immigrants they hire as nannies, housekeepers, and gardeners.

According to court documents filed in March 2017, Martinez has a history of illegal entry into the United States. He has been a transient in the Portland area for more than a year and has been deported 20 times.

Twenty time.  This rapist and career criminal has been deported twenty times for various crimes and Portland is letting him hang around.

Shit like this makes me willing to throw the anchor babies out with the bathwater.

Shit like this makes me want to scream the words of the famous Lawgiver of Sparta, Lycurgus,“a city is well-fortified which has a wall of men instead of brick,” and have Trump deploy the Marines to the border to shoot anything coming across on sight.

Forget “the wall.”  Now I want Trump to turn the Mexican-American border into the longest, most densely packed, minefield in the world.

Next time we deport this guy, don’t bother landing the plane.  Just tell him to tuck and roll and shove him out at 15,000 feet.

Do you understand that for ever reaction there is an opposite reaction?  When you bend over backwards to protect a multiple rapist and criminal like this over the interest of US citizens there is an opposite reaction.  I want to challenge the idea the Constitutional rights belong to anybody within our borders.  I’m willing to go all Roman Law and have Constitutional protections only apply to citizens and lawful residents so we can dispose of multi time illegal rapists without wasting the court’s time.

If you don’t uphold the law to protect Americans, there will be push back, and I guarantee you won’t like the push back.

Dr. Hatem Bazian is a professor at the University of California at Berkeley.

He is also a founder of Students for Justice in Palestine.  SJP is THE leading antisemitic group operating on American college campuses.  SJP is also linked to anti Israel terrorist groups.

Yep, here is a professor in the same area of California calling for an Intifada.  An Intifada, as in a violent uprising.  The First Intifada was marked by a series of bombing in Israel.  The most recent was the Knife Intifada and was a series of stabbings and car attacks.  That tactic has come to Europe and I warned that it would come to the US.

Well, here we see an Islamic leader in the US trying to incite an Intifada in the US.

I keep hearing from the media how Trump’s travel ban is going to incite violence by ISIS, and not a God damned word about the founder of one of the largest and most influential Pro-Islam groups in the US issued a Fatwa to rise up and kill Jews in the US.

Since I have come to believe that the war on the Jews in the Middle East is going to make it here to the US with the help of antisemitic progressives, all I ask is for potential Jew stabbers to wait until my new boom-stick arrives.

An Imam in California – California, the most populous  state in the United States of America – was videoed calling for the annihilation of Jews from the Mosque pulpit.

Of course the Islamic Center of Davis says the “video was taken out of context.”  Let’s be clear, this is EXACTLY the same religious text that is used in the Middle East to encourage Palestinians to break into Jewish homes and stab parents and grandparents to death during Sabbos.

This is the EXACT same thing they teach therr children, who want to grow up to be martyrs that kill Jews.

The ADL condemned this speech.

They are a Progressive, anti-Gun group, that put out more of a reaction to a badly drawn frog meme, and had more condemnation for Ben Carson and his idea that disarming the Jews exacerbated the Holocaust, than it does for an Imam calling for genocide of the Jews in one of the largest Islamic communities in the US.

I’m wondering just how much of IT was fiction. 

I noticed that Everytown for Gun Safety has been doing a series of posts on their Facebook page attacking the idea of national concealed carry reciprocity.

Of course, being an Bloomberg funded anti-gun group, they have to resort to lies and deceit.

These are three of the posts that I saw.  Lets analyze, shall we?

Yes, it is true that South Carolina requires life fire training for a CWP permit and Georgia does not.  That really isn’t a big problem for South Carolina through, since it already has reciprocity with Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and all the other Southern states that have lower standards.

First of all, Maryland’s permits are may issue and has a “good and substantial reason” to carry a gun and honors no out of state permits.  West Virginia has constitutional carry, but still has to abide by federal law.  So any person convicted of domestic violence or under a restraining order is a prohibited person and can’t poses a gun, let alone carry one in public.  You wound’t know that from Everytown’s post.

I don’t know where they got the idea that Ohio has a specific ban for abusive dating partners and Pennsylvania doesn’t.  Ohio seems to follow the federal NICS standard for domestic violence convictions and restraining orders when it comes to issuing CCW permits.  Pennsylvania does too, they even call their the PICS, and you can guess what that stands for.  Ohio and Pennsylvania have reciprocity too.

Minnesota is America’s second most Liberal state.  Really.  The Twin Cities are the San Francisco of the Midwest.  Much like Chicago and Illinois, they politics of the big city is very different than the rest of the rural state and the big city has enough of a population that they can push the rest of the state around.  Hence, like Illinois, the anti-gun attitude in the big city has made the state CCW system hyper-restrictive and have very little reciprocity with other states

Nebraska doesn’t have reciprocity with Minnesota and Nebraska requires live fire, fingerprints, and 8 hours of class time.  Sometimes having similar standards isn’t enough, politics drives these decisions as well.

That is why I am a YUGE supporter of national CCW.  Get the state politics out of the game.  Only in the straw man mind of Everytown would a national CCW policy fall to the lowest common denominator.  What is desired is a single standard that every state is required to recognize.  If a state wants a lower standard within the state, fine, but reciprocity requires meeting the national standard.

South Dakota did something similar.  A basic SD permit is easy to get, but the higher level Enhanced Permit gets reciprocity with Nebraska (something that it didn’t have when I lived there).

If I have to sit through 8 hours of training and shoot a B-27 or B-29 so many times, fine.  When I’m done I get to carry in Baltimore when visiting my sister, and in New Jersey when visiting my brother.

Then there was this post.

Did the repeal of handgun purchase and carry permits really cause a spike in crime?  If you work for Bloomberg, yes.

If you look at all the factors, than no.   Yes, violent crime and gun crime have spiked in Missouri.  Almost all of it has been in the urban areas around St. Louis and Kansas City.  Not just that, but the majority of the violence comes from just one-third of the neighborhoods in the  cities.  The violence is concentrated in poor areas,that are predominantly black.  This is mirrored in other American cities like Baltimore, Chicago, and Washington D.C.

There are several reasons for this.  In Missouri, criminals caught illegally possessing guns have been given probation instead of jail time.  Cheap Mexican heroine has made its way into the Midwest, fueling gang crime.  Gang membership is up because of the Ferguson incident, as young, dissafected black men join gangs in protest of police.

The culture in urban Missouri can be shown in this quote:

 That is the making of a gang war.  But anti-gun Liberals will never focus on that.  Everytown only pays lip service to gang violence.

Their real enemy is the almost non-existent law abiding, concealed carry permit holder, who gets angry and goes on a killing spree.

What is really comes down to is (again) Liberal elitism.

That’s what they really believe.  They don’t want any knuckle-dragging, flyover country, hayseeds from Missouri to pack heat when they take their once-in-a-lifetime vacation to the Big Apple.

There is no level of training that would satisfy these people enough to allow me to carry in their precious urban utopias.

God forbid some redneck from Alabama carry a gun in NYC.  How gauche!

It’s not like I’m going to whip it out and fire one off on the subway.  They already have enough locals doing just that.
