I have not heard of this case. It happened back in 2010 and as with any rape, it is disgusting and makes my blood boil.

Ms. Kijera is a political activist and according to the article she “was actually in Haiti to dispel the “myths” that violence against women on the island was overstated by women’s rights organizations. The intention of Kijera’s trip was to push back on the portrayal of black men as “savages” in the media.”  This self-delusion that a particular racial group is more inclined or less inclined to do something or another because they are of a special color/race is not uncommon on people who have strong political beliefs.

Clint Smith said you don’t know what your attacker will look like and that is possibly one of God’s biggest truths.  Observing attitude, & body language plus the  good old gut feeling will give you a better detection system than a prejudiced or politicized attitude.

So I look through the window and I smile. It looks like a foggy morning which is cool even though it will mean clam baking temperatures later. I step outside and realize it is not fog but smoke. I went back in, check online and find:
