…….

…….

I am finally in the good graces of the Gun Community. (UPDATE)

This Ruger 10/22 is officially mine.

Although I understand the AR 15 upgrade/modification craziness, the fact that it is louder than what you can do with a 10/22 surprised me.  I might be off base here, but about the only tools you need for this thing is a Swiss Army knife and a hex key. This is an old model so the first modification was to add the extended mag release and next on the list will be the automatic bolt release. Both upgrades rang my wallet just cents over $30 and what I saw on other aftermarket parts, you can build a carbine from scratch with little money and even less technical effort.  Or I May just get me a threaded barrel and a new scope to install on this one for quiet backyard critter elimination.  Yes, I need a can too, thankfully, the ones for .22 cal are in the $ 500 area. Whatever I go, I can say I am enjoying the heck out this rifle as is.

And I am pissed at you, guys. You should have informed of this a decade or two ago.  🙂

UPDATE: The Tacbro  automatic bolt release arrived this afternoon rather than tomorrow. It took me all of 5-7 minutes to install it including a bit of file work which I knew it would be required and was ready for it.

Working as advertised.

Every knife guy has had this conversation

I’ve had this one (at least the first four lines) with my wife countless times.

When I lived in Chicagoland, my redneck self was usually the only person with a knife so colleagues and coworkers would ask to borrow mine.

It got to the point where I started carrying a POS loaner knife just to lend to people who asked to borrow one to open boxes.

This is a crime against humanity and the management of NYC should be punished accordingly

The news covered the story:

BRONX COMMUNITY OUTRAGED AFTER FRESH PRODUCE CONFISCATED FROM STREET VENDOR, THROWN AWAY

The video shows sanitation crews throwing box after box of fresh fruit and vegetables into a garbage truck from a stand on Pelham Parkway, with an angry crowd protesting the move.

Diana Hernandez Cruz, an immigrant and a new mother, has worked at the stand for five years.

“I’m here in the rain, I’m here in the snow,” she said. “I’ve been working to provide food but also to take care of my family.”

On Saturday, she was back at the corner with the food telling Eyewitness News what happened here on Thursday, when two police officers called the sanitation department to remove the items after she couldn’t provide a permit.

“This video shows a small portion of an unfortunate situation, where abandoned material needed to be disposed of for the safety of the community. The Department of Sanitation is committed to our mission of keeping streets and neighborhoods safe, clean, and healthy,” the New York City Department of Sanitation said.

Throwing away good food like that is a sin against God and man.

All because this woman was unable to show proof of a permit that is difficult and expensive to obtain because the street vendor permit office is as corrupt as the gun permit office.

Both of my grandfathers were in the food business.

Watching this is a knife through my heart.

The Waffen NYPD and the ordinary men of the sanitation department should be ashamed of themselves.

If we come to this, flip the switch.

And yet another episode of “What the fuck happened to Australia?”

Biden pulling out the worst rhetoric of dictators on Americans

Hutus said the same about Tutsis.

Turks said the same about Armenians.

Hitler said the same about Jews.

Biden is saying that COVID spikes and the resulting lockdowns are the fault of a minority.

A US President is focusing national outrage on a minority of Americans.

This is evil.
