For a while now CSGV, Ladd & Josh have been beating on the insurrectionist drum. My guess is that they want gun owners to either cower or have the ultimate goal of having us declared enemy combatants or traitors to have our rights removed under the assumption that we are a wild and violent bunch.
They also state that they hold the high moral ground because they are seeking “peace” and a resolution to “gun violence” through legal means. Of course they do not state that just because there is a law about it means that it is the right thing. They have admitted that mass imprisonment of people is right if there is a law for it, as if no laws have ever been passed that go against the basic fabric of decency and humanity. But as long as it is “legal” they are OK with it.
CSGV is also no stranger to historical revisionism or in plain English, outright lie about history. They still insist that Stand Your Ground was a recent creation of the NRA even though there are 2 SCOTUS decisions about it, one over 100 years old.
Here is the funny part: It has been our side that has eschewed violence for political gain. Not 20 years ago, you could be pulled over by police for sporting an NRA sticker on your car because it indicated you might be carrying a weapon illegally. BATF would conduct raids that left people killed, made mothers miscarriage or simply stomp pets for the fun of it and not pay for it…and I am not even bringing Ruby Ridge or Waco into the mix. Imagine having to hide your support for the Second Amendment because the media was only too obliging to place the blame on the The Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building Bombing directly on gun owners.
If we were a truly violent bunch, we would have gotten tired of the persecution and start picking on anti-gun idiots from a couple of hundred yards. Instead, we went with the “peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances” and won, both in the courts and with the public. We followed the rules and played to win. We did not need to cheat or lie, we just worked harder & longer than anybody else and it paid off. They hate that. They hate us for that.
Still they will continue to have us pegged as crazy and ready for the revolution. My only hope is that they never take things (with an accomplice Government) to the point where our lives are at stake as for whatever happens next will be on their heads.

Do notice that he implies that treason is against the Government which is not defined under the Constitution.
Then again all our Forefathers were traitors against the legal government of the time.

Let me tell you exactly why they are so afraid of the “insurrectionist view of the Second Amendment.” They are terrified of is because it is an effective argument against them. People instinctively recognize the truth of our argument. It is easy to say “Our forefathers shot their oppressive former overlords, and if our leaders get oppressive, we can still shoot them.” No one with any sense will argue against this. The only possible reason to argue against this is if you believe that you are one of the oppressive overlords.
The people understand that if it ever gets too bad, we can fight back. When we get down to brass tacks like that, there isn’t an effective counterargument. Josh and his cronies are determined to poison that argument and force us to argue the Second Amendment on his terms. He wants us to go back to the bad old days of the 60’s and 70’s when no one would dare to say that guns are for shooting our oppressive government. At least they wouldn’t say that unless they were Communists or black power types.
They want us to go back to arguing that guns are for hunting and for limited self protection in the home so that they can limit us to hunting guns and simple home protection guns. And then when no one is left to fight for those guns, they will outlaw them too.
The solution is to continue to repeat the argument. To rub their faces in the argument that guns are for killing tyrants. We don’t care if they are one-off street socialists or oppressive would-be overlords. Guns are for filling them full of lead and letting their blood and brains leak all over the ground, both as specific deterent and as a warning to others. Guns are for reminding those who might think about tyranny that there are fatal consequences to their actions.
Their liberal ally B.J. Clinton expanded the ROE in Kosovo to include the media. He then proceeded to fire cruise missiles into TV stations and newspaper offices. Maybe they remember that they will be fair game. After all, they are now enemy combatants.
I am neither a conservative, a liberal, a libertarian, a collectivist, a progressive, an anarchist, a socialist, or a communist.
And I still believe in insurrection.
Oh, sure. Insurrection can be fought for any number of reasons that one side thinks is right and the other thinks is wrong. In war, or in any argument, or conflict – truth is always the first casualty.
As Claire Wolfe said – “It’s the awkward stage where it’s too late to vote them out but way too early to start shooting.”
In the end, it is no longer insurrection if you win, because the victors get to write history.

You know, I don’t see roving bands of insurrectionists in America engaged in firefights with the National Guard or the police. Poor Ladd, he just does not understand that we retain this right if our government decides that total oppression is the course of action.
Then, and only then, will you see spontaneous uprisings of the citizens and defections of the police and military to join them and the removal of despotic rulers. We are a long way off from that and the Second Amendment is a very good reason that we may never see such an ugly, but necessary, day.
He is the traitor by trying to neuter the Constitution so that we do not have the means to stop any future tyranny. What a frightened little man he must be…so eager to lick boots of oppressors.

Apparently these people have no idea that our nation was founded by so called insurrectionists, and they gave us the second amendment to keep our government under control if need be. They themselves didn’t trust the government that they created, that’s why we have a constitution and bill of rights.

Do these people remember the Internment camps in which a whole swath of people were imprisoned for being Americans with Japanese descent?
I still wonder if this citizenship was worth having if there is an active group of people who seem to want the rights of certain groups of people to be removed.
