When he was taking to task, ridiculed and called liar in all kinds of shade, he provided incontrovertible photographic evidence:

Well … As of just now, I searched Amazon for “Federal ammo” and the 2nd item up was for “Power-Shok Rifle Ammo 30-06 Springfield 150Gr Copper, 20/Box
$55.25″
Most of the listings that came up were for ammo cases and cartridge trays, but there were also at least two more listings for what appear to be live ammo, one rifle (.243 win) and one shotgun (12ga, 3”), all Federal brand.
I don’t believe Amazon itself will sell ammo, and I believe it’s their policy that they won’t permit sales via their platform. But … in the case of the .30-06, and the other rifle cartridge I saw, it’s the same third-party seller; I didn’t check the shotgun shells.
Amazon has ongoing issues with fakes entering its supply chain, apparently the oversight is even looser than indicated.
Now I wonder what the guy had ordered that had Federal Fusion ammo in the pick bin…
I am looking to see if the picture is a scam.
– The Amazon box is lying on top of the November 8, 2018 issue of Sports Illustrated (upper left of the photo).
If you look at that cartridge box, it is pretty dog eared and worn. That is NOT a new box of ammo.
– Then again, the Amazon box has obviously seen better days, as well.
-The tape on the Amazon box is clear plastic. Amazon uses paper packing tape with their brand all over it.
– This cannot be from a third party seller, as someone above suggested. The reason is that third party sellers who sell ammo cannot be shipping from Amazon fulfillment centers. With that being the case, there is no way that this ammo was mistakenly included in some other shipment from Amazon. The ONLY way that this could have been ordered from Amazon is for it to have been deliberately ordered from a third party seller
