Most Gun Aficionados will agree that the shootout outside the bank in the movie Heat is, if not the best, one of the best of all times. Director Michael Mann sends his actors to train with the real stuff and I mean train not lollygagging and crotch-grabbing in the range.
It shows in the film quite well.

That he is and he probably was issued a gun replica that works like a normal one.
I was just thinking about him going through that training with real firearms. Hopefully they didn’t ignore that little detail.
