I was talking to a friend at work about question I proposed regarding how this Parkland thing will end.

What came out of that was an terrifying thought.

We know that there is a segment of the Socialist/Communist/SJW/Progressive Left (whatever you want to call them)  that overtly hates guns, gun owners, and gun culture.

Calling the NRA terrorists or “worse than ISIS” is evidence of this.  So is “kill the NRA” billboards and “gun owners have small penises mockery.”  Regular readers of this blog know that it is an encyclopedia of anti gun hatred of gun owners.

Even if it only a small minority of very rabid individuals, what happens if they get into power?

History has shown us:

The Nazi holocaust of the Jews and Roma.

The Soviet holodomor of the Ukrainians.

The Maoist purge of dissidents.

The Castro and Che executions of Batista supporters.

The killing fields of Cambodia by the Khmer Rouge.

The Tutsi genocide in Rwanda.

The mass graves of the Balkans.

The murder of white farmers in Zimbabwe and South Africa.

It ends with mass executions or the subjugation of the hated people by the extremists in power.

True these nations didn’t have Constitutionally protected civil rights of their citizens, but law on paper only matters so much.

Where does that leave us if the most extreme of the anti gun voices to attain majority political power?

It will be the systematic destruction of gun culture.  It may not end with mass graves, but probably with mass arrests and subjugation.

When they have to power to erase the Second Amendment, it will nothing for them to erase the Forth and Fifth when it comes to guns.

This isn’t just an issue of guns, but the eradication of a cultural identity.

Keep that in mind.

  1. “True these nations didn’t have Constitutionally protected civil rights of their citizens, but law on paper only matters so much.

Where does that leave us if the most extreme of the anti gun voices to attain majority political power?”

Something I’m hesitant to point out, but have yet to see addressed RE: all the ‘due process’ hysteria over Trump’s comment; Due process is whatever ‘they’ decide it is (by putting some words on paper IE: passing a law).

See also the hundreds (if not thousands) of firearms seized after hurricane Katrina that have NOT been returned, despite the ‘due process’ established for rightful owners to claim them.

    1. – What about the law?
      – The law? Babe, this is the only country where the constitution is written in pencil.

  2. First, the demonization drive will paradoxically continue to help our side. The more something is portrayed as Forbidden Eeee-vil, the more interest is garnered. And when the hue and cry is as inaccurate as the anti-gun screaming, people tend to flip.

Second, despite the noise, they’re not all that popular, or even powerful. To rule effectively, you need force, and you need a lot of rough men with weapons to use force. Which is not something the Left is providing.

The SJW’s have specialized themselves to a certain set of conditions, and like any other specialized critter, wouldn’t survive if those conditions change.

  3. The Constitution is no real help. Consider that the Constitution has been systematically trampled from the moment it was ratified. If you don’t already know that, I highly recommend “View of the Constitution of the United States” written in 1803 by St. George Tucker. Free download at http://oll.libertyfund.org/titles/tucker-view-of-the-constitution-of-the-united-states-with-selected-writings . Even back then he could give us a litany of horror stories. Not just the one many of us knew already (the Alien and Sedition acts) but a whole boatload of them.
Jefferson said that appealing to judges for upholding to the constitution was about as effective as talking to the marble pillars on the courthouses. Mencken points out that judges are lawyers, “that is to say, men professionally trained in finding plausible excuses for dishonest and dishonorable acts”.
So I’d say that those other countries didn’t have a Constitution, but then again, laws on paper don’t actually protect us at all, not even a little bit. The only reason the Constitution helps at all, at the moment, is that enough of the people in power still have some smidgeon of honor left. Not so for the enemy you described.

  4. What is called to talk shows is really just propaganda, put out by the anti gun anti Trump media 24/7, Joseph gobbels would be proud. Keep repeating the same lies over and over and it becomes the truth. Watch the video of amjoy and Florida congressman gaetz, if you get past 5 minutes you are doing good
