Screwing around at Costco

Costco is famous for its return policy. If you are unhappy with a Kirkland brand product, you can return it.

At lunch, I went to Costco to fill up the truck.

Out of boredom, I asked the gas station attendant:

“If I’m unhappy with my Kirkland gas, can I return it?”

No less than three layers of management were inquired about the Costco return policy on gasoline.

Nobody was sure how I would return the unused gas if I didn’t like it.

I hope I don’t lose my membership.

My district, according to Miami Dade Elections, is about 65% registered Democrats. But in the 2 decades living here, You could never tell who was what unless you asked, which is deemed impolite. Something I have never seen is political signs and flags in private properties. Sure, you will see some posters placed in the fences abandoned lots and maybe a corner or two in a light pole, but house openly declaring their favoritism? Simply not done.

Today I went out and saw this.

The lady of the house initially gave me the evil eye when she saw me take the pic, but I gave her the thumbs up with a “VIVA TRUMP!” yell and she was all smiles.

Most houses were simply decorated: A yard sign usually accompanied by the flag.

 

But I have to say this was my favorite:

Again let me say how amazing these displays are to me because in 20 years, I never saw anything this outward, so prideful when it came to p[residential politics.

Miami-Dade usually votes blue and the strategy is not to have that many people vote so the red votes in other counties upset the Democrat applecart. But i suddenly have this little spark in my guts telling me that maybe come November 3rd, maybe it will be a very pale blue or even a light shade or red for Miami Dade county. No wonder Bloomberg feels it needs to spend $100 million in Florida.

PS: Yes, you are asking if I saw the same stuff for the other side and I did: Only one house. Kid you not.

With violent crime on the rise in Mpls., City Council asks: Where are the police?

I don’t know, you voted to defund them you stupid, short-sighted fucks.

But for much of the two-hour meeting, council members told police Chief Medaria Arradondo that their constituents are seeing and hearing street racing which sometimes results in crashes, brazen daylight carjackings, robberies, assaults and shootings. And they asked Arradondo what the department is doing about it.

“Residents are asking, ‘Where are the police’?” said Jamal Osman, newly elected council member of Ward 6. He said he’s already been inundated with complaints from residents that calls for police aren’t being answered.

“That is the only public safety option they have at the moment. MPD. They rely on MPD. And they are saying they are nowhere to be seen,” Osman said.

Boo-hoo-hoo.

The number of reported violent crimes, like assaults, robberies and homicides are up compared to 2019, according to MPD crime data. More people have been killed in the city in the first nine months of 2020 than were slain in all of last year. Property crimes, like burglaries and auto thefts, are also up. Incidents of arson have increased 55 percent over the total at this point in 2019.

Fuck you, I was told those were just peaceful protests.  You don’t get to complain about arson after you blew all that smoke up my ass.

Council President Lisa Bender, who was among those leading the call to overhaul the department, suggested that officers were being defiant. Her constituents say officers on the street have admitted that they’re purposely not arresting people who are committing crimes.

Maybe treating the cops like murderers and because the city suppressed the information that George Floyd overdosed caused the cops to come down with the Blue Flu.

Council members in wards which usually don’t see high levels of violence say their constituents are feeling “terrorized.”

Awww… are the wealthy, white, suburbanite Progressives not happy with what they voted for?

Despite the uptick of crime in his ward, Cunningham, who supports the creation of a new community safety agency to replace the police department, said it’s particularly important now to start instituting some of those public health-based approaches to violence prevention. Recently, the council took more than $1 million from the police budget to hire “violence interrupters” to intervene and defuse potentially violent confrontations.

I guess those “violence interrupters” aren’t working.  Glad you spent a million on them.

The Leftists voted for that shit sandwich and now they don’t like the taste of it.

All I can say to them is: “Fuck you, you ordered that turd with corn and extra jalapeños, now you have to eat it.  Try not to choke you dumb fucks.”

Milwaukee makes it clear you will not be allowed to defend yourself from the mob

This happened in Milwaukee.

There is more.

 

So to summarize, BLM makes the accusation that this man is a racist.

They get a mob to come to his house, step foot on his property, threaten him, and when the man inside his own house pulls out a gun, they call the police and have him arrested even though on video it’s clear they were not intimidated.

Congratulations BLM and the Milwaukee Police.

The most racist Southern sheriffs during the height of Klan intimidation during the Civil Rights era would be proud of you.

Then too did racist mobs show up to intimidate people in their homes on their property and racist local law enforcement side with the racist mob against the homeowner.

This is one burning cross short of a color reversed Klan rally.

Milwaukee is making it clear to Trump supporters the same thing that racist police in the segregated south made clear to blacks, when the mob is out for your blood, do not dare try and defend yourself.

You are more than on your own.  The authorities that in the past would have simply abandoned you are now actively working against you.

If I have a fault among many is that I am a loyal customer. And I will remain so till one of two things happen: Your product/service drops in quality and you do squat to fist it. Or you decide to screw me.

HostGator did both.

I started this blog with a small mom & pop type Webhost who got scared after the back-then assholes of Century Arms sent them a threatening note for a post I did about their shoddy work and shoddier customer service. I went to HostGator because they offered an affordable service and I figured a big company would not be so easily intimidated by Drunken Monkeys pretending to be gunsmiths.
But the blog grew in visitors, not that many, but I started to get blocked by HG because the traffic I was getting went above the resources for my particular account. Fine OK, it is the price of “success” and you have to pay it. On their own recommendation,    I got their 3 year Optimized WordPress Package which they assured me was enough to deal with anything that may come up in the future. It gave me unlimited bandwith and unlimited memory so I did not have to do shit butt write and upload pretty pictures.

And then we started to get the effing 500 Error messages.

I contacted them and it seems I was using too many resources which lead to automatic slow-downs  & restrictions. So to fix that I did what they wanted, bought extra shit that was supposed to help me with, eliminated many a plugin that may have been screwing with the system, basically pared down the site till it looked like Charlie Brown’s Christmas Tree.  But it did not help.

More of the dreaded 500 kept showing up, tech services were contacted and then they started to hint I may need to move to a dedicated service where none of this would ever happen again! (heard that shit before.) I checked thei9r plans and I simply could not afford what they were asking, nor I could ask you guys to help me with that. Then we had a couple or more days were visits to the blog just blew the regular roof and I noticed the funniest of things: No 500 Error at all.  But then during a lower than usual visits days, the error was back,; this crap did not make sense and their only answer was to upgrade. That was the day I posted about quitting but AWA (Anonymous Webhost Angel) stepped up and offered his services.

So I did what HostGator wanted me to do: I upgraded my webhost.. but not with them.

It is not cheap, but it is not the testicle cutting amount that HostGator was demanding. And it comes with something I was not used to: Real Fricking Human Support. AWA not only did help me move over with the least amount of trouble, but went through the site figuring out what was going on and correcting stuff, making a more leaner, faster and effective site and all while dealing with me and my lack of properly following instructions.

I already got great feedback from some of you about noticing the difference and do thank AWA for that. I know I can feel it on this side of the blog and specially the lack of the 500 error message.

Yesterday was the last day of migrations and it was the email accounts. Apparently 12 years of emails do not migrate easy or fast specially with me screwing shit up. Finally last night we were done, the shackles from HostGator removed and I contacted them to let them know I was cancelling and I wanted a refund for the remaining time   left on my account. The reply was a very formal “Fuck you, you did not read the small print. Yes there was a money back guarantee, but it only lasts the first 45 days so we are keeping the moola. Love and kisses. Signed Escalated Support. PS: We are keeping your slot open till end of contract in case you want to come back to us, begging like a dog. After that, we will delete everything you made.”

So the money back guarantee died sometime 5 years ago and I am now officially out of $300 that I had planned to use for the extended payments of the new webhost.

So the blog will continue, this time on my server which won’t be tweaked by greedy assholes and be subjected by restrictions based on BS or politics. And I get to bombard you guys with my crap while you wait for J. Kb. to dish out the good stuff.

One last thing: I have told AWA to come up with a logo and contact info so I can advertise his services in the blog. He deserves more clients and I am planning he gets a couple through us. So, if you have the need for hosting services, stay put or email me so I can pass you the info.

The Washington Post begrudgingly acknowledges that the Left isn’t all peaches and cream

Violent memes and messages surging on far-left social media, a new report finds

Months of civil unrest have coincided with a significant rise in social media posts critical of police that sometimes are laced with violent themes, including calls to destroy property and attack officers, according to research released Monday morning.

The report, by the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI), which previously has studied right-wing violence from groups such as the “boogaloo boys,” warns that some left-wing groups have embraced similar social media tactics, including memes and humorous catchphrases, to spread their messages and possibly help coordinate offline activity. The researchers pointed to possible signs of such coordination associated with riots in Seattle, Portland and other cities on July 25, involving fires, looting and property damage.

To understand the bullshit that is coming next, it is important to understand that for the Left, words often have the opposite meaning to them that they have to the rest of us.

They get this from reading 1984 as a how-to manual.

For them, someone on the right making a Pepe Meme is violence but a goon in Black Bloc throwing a homemade bomb at police is free speech.  White silence is violence but looting a Louis Vuitton store is peaceful protesting.

The report acknowledges that left-wing political actors, including those who embrace the antifa movement, have been responsible for far less violence than white supremacists and other right-wing ones — a finding consistent with the conclusions of law enforcement and other threat analysts.

See?  Who was trying to burn Portland and Seattle to the ground for months on end?  Who threw bombs and water bottles at police in Chicago?  Who has been wielding lasers trying to blind people?  Who has been tearing down statues?

One asshole runs over someone in Charlottesville back in 2017 and there is an epidemic of Right-Wing violence.  Tens of millions of dollars in damage is done during riots and it’s nothing.

Rita Katz, director of the SITE Intelligence Group, said there are stark differences in the types of direct action promoted online by left- and right-wing extremists.

“It is overwhelmingly the far right — not the far left — that makes direct incitements for terrorist attacks and celebrates mass shooters as heroes to the movement,” she said. “Far-left activity usually doesn’t extend beyond destruction of property — that being arson against police vehicles, sabotaging infrastructure and similar activities.”

Property destruction and arson are not violence according to the Left.  That’s how they get away with saying such obvious bullshit.

[Socialist Rifle Association communications director, Lucas Hubbard] said left-wing activists — who have been targeted repeatedly, including by the president — are preparing themselves lest they become “victims of terrorism.”

While he renounced violence, he echoed right-wing actors in predicting it: “When the election happens, there’s going to be a surge of violence no matter who wins,” Hubbard said.

Gun owning Leftists preparing to cause havoc after the election.

I’ve covered how Grosskreutz was clearly engaged in the attempted premeditate murder of Kyle Rittenhouse but claimed self-defense, the Socialist Rifle Association is preparing to do the same thing.

But the researchers found the growing use of memes a worrying sign and argue that the spread of dehumanizing rhetoric on the left could set the stage for more serious incidents by what the report called “network-enabled mobs.”

And that’s the kicker.  They have been dehumanizing Trump supporters and police.  They are preparing for something big and something terrible.

The Left has never come up with an idea for a utopia that doesn’t require “kill everyone who disagrees with us” as the first step.

It’s become so overwhelming that finally, the WaPo has caught on a little bit, and they can’t even denounce it without first giving a whole bunch of “but much Right-wing violence.”

From this, you know the shit is going to hit the fan.
