Gun Free Zone

I had been religiously inside for almost three weeks and I will admit it was getting somewhat annoying. Other than start a diet with the Noom app, read a lot, play World Of Tanks  and harass people online, I needed to get out. An urgent repair came to happen and I decided to use it as an excuse to go out with the missus.

The missus’ job was considered essential so she has been going out regularly.  Friday coming back home, she noticed that the traffic was a bit heavier than since the pandemic started, but yesterday it was like any other Saturday afternoon but with an extra touch of speeders and idiots who enjoyed cutting off people.

And, of course, you could see evidence of the extra dumb.

And truthfully, I can get used to the curbside pick up.

I noticed 99.99999% of people wearing masks and 0.0000001% wearing gloves. We wore our masks only when the associates came over to get our order numbers which requiring to lower the window. Other than that, we went clan inside our little metal bubble… plus it was humid and doing 90 effing degrees. The chances of catching something alive suspended in the air was pretty much insignificant.

What impressed me was the different plazas and how they were populated or not. Some without a supermarket or other priority store were just ghost towns. If the plaza had a Publix, you would be hard pressed to find a parking spot.

To everybody up north, have fun in your openings and I hope we can join you in a couple of weeks. Hopefully less.

It seems local gangs near my old stomping grounds have been exchanging fire for four days now. No cops are showing up to calm the situation. Maybe we will see the SWAT team come over, arrest or kill the first people they see and leave claiming victory.

And where the heck they get the auto Glocks?

So the all clear was given to marinas top open up and start getting people back in the water. And the Petty jealous assholes had to chime in.

Maybe they fail to understand that if everybody stays at home, there will be no tax collection which will go to pay for their Pandemic checks. Or maybe is because they know  if people go back to normal living, the Rent Free mandates and Pandemic Government Check will cease to exists and they will be forced to actually work for a living?

I am inclined to go with the second part.

A Democrat operative! Surprise….not.

And he is asking for money while walking around the beach contradicting the Stay At Home he is preaching.

Trudeau announces ban on 1,500 types of ‘assault-style’ firearms — effective immediately

Starting today, licensed gun owners will no longer be allowed to sell, transport, import or use these sorts of weapons in this country.

“As of today, the market for assault weapons in Canada is closed,” Public Safety Minister Bill Blair said. “Enough is enough. Banning these firearms will save Canadian lives.”

Trudeau said there will be a two-year amnesty period to allow people who already own these firearms to comply with the ban. Trudeau promised to pass legislation in the coming months to provide “fair compensation” to people who own these firearms.

While he acknowledged that most firearms owners are law-abiding citizens, he said hunters don’t need this sort of firepower.

To get a semi-automatic center fire rifle in Canada is hard.  They are already classified as restricted firearms which require a special license and registration.

Canada has had very few mass shootings and we’re not even sure what kind of firearm was used in the last one since the shooter was dressed at an RCMP officer, which leads me to suspect it was a handgun.

The Prime Minister all but admits that this will not do a damned thing to reduce the almost non existent number of mass shootings in Canada.  This is being done simply for control.

Sorry Canadian gun owners who jumped through every hoop to get a restricted firearm legally, you’re fucked now.

Maybe when your Woke Bae manchild Prime Minister destroys your country under the rule of “go woke, go broke,” President Trump will offer to make you our 51st state and your gun rights will be restored courtesy of the Second Amendment.

Local lawyer Daniel Uhlfelder has gone from ambulance chaser to Hearse chaser. He is walking dressed as the grim Reaper trying to scare people finally enjoying a day at the beach into locking themselves back in.
