Perusing the Book of Faces last night before hitting the sack, I found one or two Anti-Vaxxer memes that made me chuckle. Later as I was in bed, something click in and I asked myself “How about A-Vs and their pets? Do they get vaccinated too?”

So this morning I checked. And yes, they are extending their doctrine to the poor beasties.

Since we no longer teach history or responsibility, we have a couple of generations unaware of the problem that rabies was before mandatory vaccination of dogs was imposed and specially before there were any vaccination for both humans and animals. One day Fido is the lovable little pooch and the next day the sucker is tearing little Jimmy’s throat and attacking any living creature in sight. And what he does not kill he infects with his sickness right before dying a painful death.  And even though a vaccine to cure the infection was developed by then, we are talking about pretty much the cases happening outside the cities where there might be a Pasteur Institute, were painful death sentences.

When I was a kid, I was indoctrinated on the respect and wariness we should have for strange dogs. My parents had seen back in Spain mad dogs roaming the country side and the fear that came with that till the animal was killed, hopefully before it attacked them or their animals, both pets and stock.  I grew up hearing only about a couple of cases, but they did happen so I never lower my guard. I have been bitten three times in  y life and all three times the owners presented their certificates of vaccination sparing me a dance with needles: Back then was something like 2 or 3 weeks of daily shots plus boosters after that. Nowadays we are down to 5 shots over a  month plus booster every 6 IRRC.

Anti Vaxxers as usual, are getting away with their BS because of herd Immunity. Unfortunately their actions will compromise that and allow the disease to expand. This willful ignorance of basic health issues will bring them and us, too much unnecessary pain, specially when trying to explain kids why Fluffy was taken down with a shot in the head.

The publisher of the Miami Herald, The Kansas City Star and dozens of newspapers across the country is filing for bankruptcy protection.

The publisher’s 30 local newsrooms will continue to operate as usual as McClatchy Co. reorganizes under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

McClatchy expects fourth-quarter revenues of $183.9 million, down 14% from a year earlier. Its 2019 revenue is anticipated to be down 12.1% from the previous year. That would mean that the publisher’s revenue will have slid for six consecutive years.

My guess is the Herald will have another round of firings (#LearnToCode) and then move from the warehouse in Doral to some refurbished strip mall in Little Havana next to the immigration law firm (Get your Green Card for only $499.00!) and the bodega.

But wait, this is what we should expect from the newspaper struggle:

“When local media suffers in the face of industry challenges, communities suffer: polarization grows, civic connections fray and borrowing costs rise for local governments,” said CEO Craig Forman. “We are moving with speed and focus to benefit all our stakeholders and our communities.”

Funny, I don’t know the other papers, but the Herald has been polarizing people for decades now and making everything less civil and civic.  I can even tell you if not the moment your slide down the path of irrelevancy began, at least it was a good shove: It was the year 2,000 and your editorial board announced with the printed version of a fanfare of  trumpet that you would eb abandoned the practice of not endorsing a president and throwing your blessing towards Al Gore being the President, something along the lines of that election being too important to give to the Republicans. And if that was not all, the shitty coverage and injecting yourselves in the Recount trying to do your best to revert the result of the elections in favor of the Democrats.

Does Miami-Dade need a newspaper? Indeed it does. Does Miami need the Miami Herald? No, we already get enough political spam and junk mail every day in our inboxes, both electronic and Real Life.

Child rapist’s head shoved down filthy toilet by other inmates

The rapist begs for mercy as he is whipped with a cable and forced to take off his clothes in front of the filthy toilet. Leading him into the bathroom, they tell him ‘take off your clothes before I whack you in the head, bro.’

Another says ‘put his head in the toilet’ and as he tries to leave he is shoved back inside saying ‘that’s too much. You’re violating me now.’ A second stomach-churning video show him screaming ‘oh my days’ as his head is forced inside the toilet bowl.

He was convicted with imprisoning a girl in a flat in north London and raping her along with two other men who forced her to perform oral sex on them. The Ministry of Justice is looking into the incident.

And the idea of a child rapist whining those other inmates are “violating me now” has overloaded my irony detector.

Frankly, considering how light the sentences have been for child rapists and sex groomers in the UK, I’m glad to see them getting some prison justice.

Yeah, on this topic I’m an evil son-of-a-bitch.  I’ll tell you straight up, I have no tolerance for child molesters.  I absolutely 100% believe that the rape of a child by an adult should be a mandatory death penalty sentence on the first offense.  Dead child rapists don’t recidivate.

The University of Virginia Multicultural Student Center just opened four days ago.

According to the University:

We aim to facilitate a student-centered, collaborative space that supports underrepresented and marginalized communities, while cultivating the holistic empowerment of all students.

Students use our space to:
Hang out
Study and use our computers
Reserve the space for meetings and events

If college students at UVA are anything like college students that I knew when I was in college, they are going to want to study in the newest building with the newest furniture and nicest stuff.

However, at least one Progressive student decided that a new building, open to all students was not a place for some because of their race.

Leftists at the University of Virginia are dictating who is and who isn’t allowed in the new Multicultural Student Center.

If you want a good reason not to support government-funded tuition of public colleges, that’s it right there.

In the last week, we’ve seen two potentially fatal attacks on Republicans and Trump supporters.  One man tried to ram a Republican voter registration tent, another swung a sword at Trump supporters.

Now in Nashville, a woman punched a man because his hat looked like a MAGA hat.

A retired NYPD detective says a woman punched him in the face in Nashville over the weekend because his hat looked like a MAGA cap.

Staten Island resident Daniel Sprague told the Post he was celebrating his 50th birthday with his wife and friends at The Stage on Broadway on Friday when he was assaulted by a woman he didn’t know.

“I was outside with my friends when some grabbed me from behind, spun me around and punched me in the face,” said Sprague, who retired from the NYPD in 2009.

In reality, his cap was emblazoned with the words “Make Fifty Great Again” — while his shirt was decorated with an American flag that read “Making America Great Since 1970.”

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that anybody who would wear a parody MAGA hat and shirt for a birthday is probably a Trump supporter.  Trump haters would rather snort Coronavirus like crushed adderall than wear anything that even remotely looked like MAGA.

He was baffled by the vitriol and said he showed respect for politicians he didn’t like.

“I love Trump, but I wouldn’t hit someone who had a Bernie hat on,” said Sprague, who spent more than two decades on the NYPD and retired as a member of the elite Emergency Service Unit.

Like I guessed.

“Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I wasn’t an Obama fan but if he walked into a place where I was, I would show him and the office respect.”

And that is the difference between Conservatives and Leftists.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department confirmed that they took a report on the incident. 

“Suspect grabbed his hat from his head and punched him in the face,” according to the report. “He stated that when the suspect hit him in the face, he did not hit her back.”

It’s probably because she was a woman that he didn’t lay her out.

I’ve covered one punch kills on this blog a lot.  Call me a sexist, but it’s probably because it was a woman punching a man that he only came away with a black eye and cut on his cheek.

If it was a full-grown man throwing a sucker-punch into an unsuspecting person, that could have easily been fatal.

Three confirmed attacks on Trump supporters in four days.

As the Democrat primary is imploding and it looks more and more like Trump will win a second term, probably in a landslide if Bernie gets the nomination, the anti-Trumpers are going to go further off the rails.

The Democrat primary season will end July 16, and by then we might be seeing multiple attacks on Trump supporters per day.

James L. Whitehurst II faces 10 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

DUNNELLON — A 49-year-old Dunnellon man accused of threatening multiple people favorable to President Donald Trump, was arrested and charged with 10 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of disorderly conduct by police.

On Thursday, Officer Megan Feliciani of the Dunnellon Police Department was called to the 11300 block of North Williams Street to investigate an armed man at a gathering where people were holding pro-Trump signs.

The victims told an officer that a man, later identified as James L. Whitehurst II, had approached them during their peaceful assembly with what was described as a cane sword in hand. The officer was told Whitehurst pointed the sword in their faces and made threatening statements.

Using a blade and a van… it is almost like the Lefty weirdos were taking ideas from the newly minted immigrants to Europe, right? Aloha Snack Bar and all that?  I know! Bernie Snack Bar!
