28% of Democrats Say It Should Be Illegal to Join the NRA

The National Rifle Association is America’s largest gun rights organization with more than five million members. But a sizable number of Democrats views it as a terrorist group and believes it should be against the law for Americans to belong to pro-gun rights organizations like the NRA.

That is the logical extension of San Francisco declaring it a domestic terrorist organization.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that nearly one-out-of-three Likely Democratic Voters (32%) favor declaring the gun rights group a terrorist organization in the community where they live. Fourteen percent (14%) of Republicans and 20% of voters not affiliated with either major party agree.

Did you catch that 14% of Republican thing?  That’s not surprising considering what some Florida Republicans did after Parkland.  Even those who were not stepping out on their husbands with their Democrat counterparts.  Just because they have an R after their name doesn’t mean they are on our side.

Twenty-eight percent (28%) of Democrats say Americans should be prohibited by law from belonging to pro-gun rights organizations like the NRA, a view shared by 15% of Republicans and 10% of uanffiliateds.

Among all likely voters, 23% favor declaring the NRA a terrorist organization in their home community, while 18% think it should be against the law to belong to pro-gun rights groups like the NRA.

More than one-in-four Democrats believe it should be illegal to be part of a political organization that champions gun rights.

Here is the kicker.

Only 13% believe NRA members are more likely to commit a crime with a gun. A plurality (47%) says members of the group are less likely to commit such a crime, while 28% think the level of gun crime by NRA members is about the same as in the population at large. Twelve percent (12%) are undecided.

Nearly half of all people asked say that individual NRA members are less criminally inclined than the average person but still, it should be illegal for them to be members.

This shows that clearly the designation of the NRA as a terrorist organization is not based on the NRA being physically dangerous but politically dangerous.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

That is what the NRA is, an organization that peaceably assembles to petition the government for a redress fo grievances.

In a world where words are “literally violence” peaceably assembling and petitioning the government for a redress of grievances is terrorism.

Honestly, listening to the current Democrat party, this doesn’t surprise me.  The Soviet Union, Maoist China, Castro’s Cuba, and the Khmer Rouge all sent citizens to prisons, gulags, and death camps for disagreeing politically with the Left’s orthodoxy.  The desire to imprison and punish people for holding differing opinions runs strong on the Left.

So what’s next?

Will San Francisco try and get donor lists from the NRA and arrest any resident of the city who gave money to the NRA?  Or maybe they will ask neighbors, Mail Carriers, and garbage men to look out for homes that get and throw away copies of American Rifleman.

Is that sufficient to get a person Red Flagged or maybe a SWAT team will do an early morning no-knock raid against them for being in a domestic terrorist cell?

Given the push for Red Flag laws and cancel culture, this is actually very scary.

The men took off running when they heard the screams. As an added measure, the victim’s girlfriend even activated her car’s alarm to scare them away.

This is a very happy ending. No shots were traded, nobody got hurt. Technology helped deter a violent crime.

And being South Florida, having an out opening front door also helps by forcing the bad guys to request access rather than force it.

First, let’s make something clear, we have two distinct groups: Open Carry Citizens (the ones that understand both Rights and Responsibilities) and Open Carry Idiots (the ones that go full tactical rifle, plate carrier and 20 magazines to show off at the local Dairy Queen) . What do I mean the Stupid Kin?  Do you know that uncle or cousin that always comes up in the family gossip? The one with a new tale of some dumb shit he did like getting caught trying to piss inside the gas tank of the Methodist Minister’s car? Or using a lighter to check a septic tank? Or picking a fight with the local college’s rugby team? The kin you have a special plan prepared for him if when he acts up during Thanksgiving which includes both a First Responder kit and bail money? That is the Stupid Kin.

Eventually, even though he is family, people will grow tired of his behavior and will cut him off from family gatherings because he will hurt somebody and worse.  And that is where OCIs are standing right now with the rest of the Gun Community.

Maybe the message got lost from the time of the wars for Concealed Carry to the modern times.  Whenever a State got Shall Issue as the law of the land and people started to carry, the first thing everybody told you was to be the best and most polite citizen you could be. You were (and still are) a walking/talking ambassador for Concealed Carry in particular and Gun Rights in general. Old heads will remember the Media attending Gun shows looking to interview a gun owner about Concealed carry and growing desperate when they could not find the human version of the caricature they pushed as Gun Owner but a well spoken, fact filled and courteous citizen explaining the advantages of CC and how the hysteria was unfounded. The Media hated it and eventually they stopped their silly propaganda. Concealed Carry was “normalized” because we all behave like honorable and respectful citizens of our country. We did not dress up or acted up like the enemy had portrayed us doing, we did the opposite and made them liars.

OCI is the opposite. They want controversy. They want their mention in the Six O’clock news under a negative banner as if they wanted to show off in Social Media as victims of Fake News.  An OCI seems to think: “A mass shooter with a rifle kills a bunch of people in a Walmart? Hell, fuck being polite, I am gonna dress just like the caricature of a Gun Owner, go out in the street parading, sporting an attitude and see what happens. Maybe I can be famous too” which if you think about it, it is supposedly the same mentality that Mass Killers have: The seeking of fame and recognition.

So, again, we are sick of your stupid stunts. So far the pushback was been from privately-owned (as in property rights) business politely asking not to open carry. But Stupid Cousin being stupid and doing something outstandingly moronic at one of these places, we are expecting the asking to be upgraded to prohibiting Open Carry and that is if we are lucky and then don’t decided to go all the way to include Concealed Carry in the ban.

And if the responses I’ve been having about my position on this matter are a reflection of the Gun Community, be advised that 90% of our people are also fed up with the OCI antics. And I believe so much so they will be willing to trade you for a White Box of Wally World 9mm and a bag of Skittles.  You have burned any good will we had left for you and you clearly never showed any care for us.

How’s that for normalizing Open Carry?

PS: I just heard that Publix has joined the “Please, No Open Carry” movement.

Personally I look at the photo and see a thoughtless attention whore trying to ‘scare the straights.’ The most likely result is that he will scare them straight into the ballot box to vote away our rights. As such this person is not my friend, ally or comrade in the struggle; he is an active threat to my rights.

I had no idea how much antipathy OC Idiots had collected till I sat down to read Gun blogs, forums and Social Media.  I believe they are being slapped hard by most everybody. But what is more interesting is the big names remaining silent on the issue as in not telling everybody we are the Gun Culture and live under a big tent.

For weeks we’ve been hearing call after call for bans of assault rifles, high capacity magazines, and everything gun-related.

So Trump decided to finally do something:

Trump administration moves to ban flavored e-cigarettes

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that the US Food and Drug Administration would be putting out “some very strong recommendations” regarding the use of flavored e-cigarettes in “a couple of weeks.”

Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, seated in the Oval Office with the President, first lady Melania Trump and the acting commissioner of the FDA, announced that newly proposed enforcement policy would require flavored e-cigarette companies to take their products off the market.

“It’ll take several weeks for us to put out the final guidance that will announce all the parameters around the enforcement policy, and then there will likely be about a 30-day delay to effective date, as is customary,” Azar said. But “at that point all flavored e-cigarettes other than tobacco flavor would have to be removed from the market.”

What the fuck kind of big-government, nanny state, Bloombergesque bullshit is that!?!

Does he want to lose the election in 2020?  Does he have any idea what percentage of his primary demographic of white, working-class men vape?  Or that this is also the demographic with the highest use of nicotine products?

This hit the news over lunch and guys I know with Trump bumper stickers were responding with “fuck the Cheeto-in-Chief.”

Vaping has become more and more popular, especially with flavored vape products because it helps people quit and is more socially acceptable than smoking.

On top of that, Vaping is a $13 Billion dollar business in the US, and a fast-growing entrepreneur business for vape shops, as most people who vape buy in brick and mortar stores.  So, you know, fuck all those guys who put their life savings into starting vape shops out of business and their tax revenue too.

I was literally hearing guys on break saying “from my cold dead hands” about their vape machines.

They were talking about stockpiling flavored vape solution like it is AR-15’s and ammo when Obama was in office.

What the fuck is he thinking?

“Yeah prohibition worked so well, we’re going to try it again with something even more addictive.”

Sounds like a plan.  A plan to kick off a surge in black-market flavored vape solution, half of which is going to be made out of god-knows-what and will cause a shit load more harm.

Every single thing about this plan is just bad, wrong, and stupid.

Sure, Trump can relax by dipping his wick into every well he can afford to cut a six-figure hush-money check to, but the blue-collar Joe who just wants a puff of Fruit Punch flavored nicotine during his break on a 12-hour shift can’t have his fun.

What’s next?  Why not ban low cost, domestic beer sales too?

In the long list of stupid fucking things Trump could have done, this is got to be towards the top.

Last week the GOP was rightly mocking the Democrats for wanting to ban burgers and cars.  Now Trump does this?  That’s not exactly that much better.

Just wait until the first SWAT team kicks in a door because they get an anonymous tip that somebody’s house smells like Kool-Aid.

Somebody in Trump’s inner circle better get him to reverse this fast because this is one bad fucking decision that is only going to hurt him and a lot of working-class people in this country.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Authorities are on scene and a suspect is in custody after five people were stabbed at Dyke Industries in Tallahassee.

The Tallahassee Police Department says they responded to the 2000 block of Maryland Circle around 8:37 a.m. on Wednesday and arrested the suspect, 41-year-old Antwann D. Brown, almost immediately upon their arrival.

Investigators say Brown is an employee of Dyke Industries and “spontaneously” stabbed a total of five employees with a folding knife after getting into a verbal dispute at the office shortly after clocking into work at 8 a.m. Police say Brown was asked to leave and clocked out at 8:20 p.m. At 8:33 p.m., police were called to the scene and arrived to the area within four minutes.
