House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has tapped retired Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré to lead “an immediate review” of the security of the US Capitol Complex after armed pro-Trump insurrections ransacked it last week.
“To protect our Democracy, we must now subject the security of the U.S. Capitol Complex to rigorous scrutiny,” Pelosi said in a statement. “To that end, I have asked Lt. General Russel Honoré (Ret.), a respected leader with experience dealing with crises, to lead an immediate review of the Capitol’s security infrastructure, interagency processes and procedures, and command and control.”
Honore is one of the worst political hacks to serve in uniform.
Honore helped enforce the gun confiscation in New Orleans after Katrina when he was brought in to manage the military response after the hurricane.
He is very much anti-gun and anti-gun culture, which explains his actions in New Orleans.
He rushed to CNN to give his own Donald Trump hates black people moment after Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico, even though he wasn’t there, and the disaster was largely (entirely?) the fault of corrupt local politicians and hacks trying to make Trump look bad.

So clearly this guy is an impartial, non-partisan who is only interested in the truth.
No, he’s a fucking hack with three stars who is out to engage in a hatchet job against Republicans.
This is both an epic disaster and par for the Democrat course.
This is everything I have been saying about O’Sullivan’s law and the military for some time now. A hack retired general with an axe to grind given the power to destroy a political party.
But not a damn thing wil be done about all the destruction done by blm/antifa.
Seems like he’s just like James Clapper, except without the honesty, decency, and respect for the Constitution. No wonder Pelosi likes him.
To put it differently, he looks exactly like the sort of general who leads a military coup against the constitutional government. I wonder if that’s part of the plan.
The fact that a Benedict Arnold like this was allowed to graduate West Point, let alone rise to flag rank, is a scandal that deserves a serious investigation.
