Ovidio Guzmán, son of Joaquín El Chapo Guzmán Loera, was released on Thursday, hours after being detained in a National Guard and Army operation in Culiacán, Sinaloa, which struck bullets, blockades and the escape of prisoners from a local prison, Public and Citizen Security Secretary Alfonso Durazo told Reuters.
The official said that after the violence recorded on Thursday in the Sinaian capital,the Security Cabinet – which also involved the secretaries of the Navy and National Defense – decided to suspend the ” actions” that caused it.
