Women’s Shoes….. I admit defeat.

I don’t get the whole women’s shoes thing. I freely admit my brain goes into bypass mode if faced with something to do with that. I am a great fan of the blog In Jennifer’s Head but the rotating header image sometimes shows shoes and I just go in duh-mode.

This is not a complaint, far from it. It is an admission of total surrender to the mysticism of the podiatric magical arts.
weird woman shoe You know damn well a feminine pair of feet somewhere are now clad with a similar pair as above. Even the toughest of Navy Seals would consider ringing the bell rather than even try to figure out how anybody can walk on those, let alone comfortable.

Women’s shoes are one of those mysteries that keep life interesting by telling us males we will never understand the “Softer Side” and we have no chance in conquer them.

How can you conquer a gender that can wear that…and color coordinated to boot?

We might as well give it up now.

The case to get a Florida-Style Stand Your ground.

The wife of an armed robbery suspect shot dead by a shop clerk said the clerk was wrong, and now she has filed a civil lawsuit claiming wrongful death.

Florida Statutes 776.032 Immunity from criminal prosecution and civil action for justifiable use of force.

(1) A person who uses force as permitted in s. 776.012, s. 776.013, or s. 776.031 is justified in using such force and is immune from criminal prosecution and civil action for the use of such force, unless the person against whom force was used is a law enforcement officer

This particular law is of great help for citizens using deadly force because not only provides the much needed protection from ambulance chasers and corrupt relatives but also frees our minds from unnecessary distractions when it should be concentrated on front sight- gently pull trigger as one cannot be worrying about stupid penalties for defending oneself or our loved ones. I am amazed that Arizona New Mexico does not have immunity in its books already. maybe this is a potential goal that local Pro Gun groups should go after. And if they are, keep trying and be loud about it.

CSGV: Desperation Breeds Stupidity

I have been remiss and not paying attention to my buddies at the Cult Coalition To Stop Gun Rights Violence. But this one post I found in Facebook just now needed to be shared with my readers.

CSGV Felon
Let’s get to brass tack fast: “A convicted felon takes on the National Rifle Association.” Is that the way you want to go? A felon sings a tune that CSGV likes and need to be celebrated? Doper, thief and counterfeiter, arrested thirty times and with three trips to prison has, in the opinion of these idiots a higher moral standing than five million law-abiding NRA Members?

And then they wonder how come nobody pays attention to what they have to say.

Oy!

Memorial Day.

Stones River National Cemetery. Murfreesboro, TN.

One of the fiercest battles of the Civil War took place at Stones River, just northwest of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, from Dec. 31, 1862 to Jan. 2, 1863. The Confederate forces of Gen. Braxton Bragg withdrew after the battle, allowing Union forces, commanded by Gen. William Rosecrans, to occupy much of Middle Tennessee. Although the Battle of Stones River was tactically indecisive, it provided a much-needed morale boost for the North. An important early phase of the battle took place in “The Slaughter Pen.” In this area, Union forces under the command of Gen Sheridan warded off several furious Confederate assaults. In an attempt to crack the Union lines at this point and possibly initiate a route, the Confederate forces pushed up their artillery to within 200 yards of Sheridan’s forces, but repeated attacks failed, with costly losses on both sides. Although Sheridan eventually had to withdraw from this position, his resistance gave the Union forces time to form a new line of resistance along the Nashville Pike.

Babylon 5: It has been 20 years….we have lost many.

I did not realize how many of the people that made the Babylon 5 project a reality have been taken by the Soul Hunter. The 20th year reunion happened yesterday I think and here is a video they played in remembrance of those gone beyond The Rim.

Prom Night & Armed Daddies

More indicators that we are winning the Culture War. Notice the smile of the girls in most of the pictures, a sure sign that they are enjoying the whole thing and are not embarrassed.
