I read Miguel’s post on why he might need a vacation.

Allow me to make something clear.

I’m not just a gun blogger and recreational shooter, my income, my living, my career is in guns.  I’m not some weak tea supporter of gun rights.

In my heart of ideological hearts I read “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed” as just that. 

According to Merriam Webster, infringed means “to encroach upon in a way that violates law or the rights of another.”

The way I see it, I have the right to go into a gun store and buy an M4 with a giggle switch and under slung M203, pay cash and walk out the door with it.  The only compromise should be on what condiment the person who says I should not be allowed to do that can eat my ass with.

But that isn’t the world we live in.  We live in a world where the NFA, NICS, Gun Control Act of 1968, and FOPA exist.

So there have already been compromises.  I don’t like them but unless there is a civil war or Constitutional Convention, the likelihood of us getting our rights back by stomping our feet and saying “no more compromises” is zero.

Fuck if Trump didn’t get elected on the chant “build the wall” and when DACA came up, he fucking waffled.  Do you expect better from the swamp rats like Ryan and Graham?

Of course not. 

So in the game of politics, I am willing to sacrifice a pawn for a queen.  I’ll trade bump fire for the right to carry on 5th Avenue in NYC with my Alabama permit.  I’d happily trade some piece of plastic shit that causes AR’s to jam for the right to build a 12 inch 300 BLK with a can on it with only a 4473 at point of sale.

I want to beat them at their own game.  It seems most “pro gun” Republicans take a stand before an election then grab their ankles afterwards.  

If you can get results with no compromises, more power to you.  Show me results.  If you can’t, what trades are you willing to make for a big win.

I saw a picture yesterday in the wake of the news of the Law Vegas shooting and it just pissed me the fuck off.

It came from an article in a Puerto Rican newspaper.

The man with the gray mustache is Oscar Lopez Rivera.  The man with the shit-eating grin to his left is Illinois Congressman Luiz Gutierrez.

If that is not enough for you, there are several other pictures of Gutierrez palling around with Rivera on Gutierrez’s official Congressional website.

Let’s recap who Oscar Lopez Rivera is.  According to the Chicago Tribune:

During the 1970s, Lopez Rivera headed a Chicago-based cell of the Armed Forces of National Liberation (FALN), which waged a futile but violent struggle to win Puerto Rican independence.

The FALN claimed responsibility for more than 120 bombings between 1974 and 1983 in a wave of senseless destruction that killed six and injured dozens. In 1981, a federal court in Chicago sentenced Lopez Rivera, then 37, to 55 years for seditious conspiracy, armed robbery, interstate transportation of firearms and conspiracy to transport explosives with intent to destroy government property.

Notably, the seditious-conspiracy charge was not some “thought crime,” as Lopez Rivera’s lawyer has said: The indictment listed 28 Chicago-area bombings, some of which caused injuries, as “overt acts” in support of the conspiracy. 

FBI agents discovered dynamite, detonators and firearms at two residences occupied by Lopez Rivera. At trial, a cooperating witness from the FALN testified that Lopez Rivera personally trained him in bomb-making. 

So Lopez Rivera is neither a low-level offender nor a nonviolent one. Nor, crucially, is he repentant. 

He defiantly challenged the legitimacy of the court that tried him. Shortly after entering federal prison at Leavenworth, Kan., he and FALN members on the outside hatched an escape plan; the FBI foiled it by arresting Lopez Rivera’s would-be helpers, who were armed with guns and explosives. A conviction for that escape attempt added 15 years to his sentence.

Oscar Lopez Rivera is a terrorist who targeted civilians in a multi year insurgency war against the United States of America.  Even Politico had the balls to call him a terrorist: “Why Did Obama Free This Terrorist?  Oscar Lopez was one of the most violent extremists of his time. The fact that Obama commuted his sentence doesn’t speak well of U.S. politics.“

This is a man US Congressman Luis Gutierrez said “is like George Washington” and has been taking selfies with.

Rivera was to be honored in the NYC Puerto Rican day parade until sponsors started to drop the parade and faced with a financial issue de Blasio ordered a change of course.  Rivera still marched in the parade, to a hero’s welcome, but wasn’t officially honored.

On the subject of FALN terrorism and Democrats, President Bill Clinton gave clemency to 16 FALN terrorists at the end of his presidency in 1999.

Back to Obama era pardons, a big hoopla was made when President Barack Obama commuted the sentence of Bradley Manning.

Manning – that treasonous fucking tranny –  was “convicted of multiple other counts, including violations of the Espionage Act, for copying and disseminating classified military field reports, State Department cables, and assessments of detainees held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.”  Manning was a spy against the United States.

Simply commuting the sentence of Manning wasn’t enough.  He had to be turned into a God damned (and I mean that in every way- I hope Manning burns in hell) folk hero to the Left.

He was given a full Annie Leibovitz spread in Vogue Magazine.

He was offered a Fellowship at Harvard Kennedy School of Government until a massive backlash forced Harvard to rescind the Fellowship but still allow him to teach.

He was given honors at the NYC annual gay pride parade and has become a hero to the trans community.

He has spent the rest of his free time receiving accolades for threatening people and hating America on Twitter.

That last bit makes me want to go out and commit a hate crime and curb stomp some patriotism into and teeth out of some  LGBT snowflake fruitcake.  “Let’s make a convicted traitor the poster boy of our movement” is not the way to gain acceptance with Middle America.

The Hill had to admit that the political career of Barack Obama was launched by Bill Ayers.  Ayers was a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  He was also an unrepentant central figure in the Weather Underground, a radical Leftist terrorist group responsible for a series of bombings in the 1970’s.

Bill Clinton, here again, pardoned a member of the Weather Underground during his presidency.

According to NBC news, some Republican Senators might be interested in gun control on bump fire stocks.

I couldn’t care less about bump fire stocks.  They are novelty items that turn money into noise and cause AR’s to jam.

I’m not going to die on the hill fighting for those.

So how about you make a deal. 

The GOP will ban bump fire stocks but we get the SHARE Act and nation CCW reciprocity in return.

In fact, because I don’t really trust the dickless shit weasels like Ryan and Graham not to waffle on this, get SHARE and CCW reciprocity FIRST, then give up bump fire stocks.

The blood libel is a centuries old antisemitic lie that Jews engaged in the ritualistic killing of non-Jewish children to take their blood and drink it/use it in the Passover Matzo/etc.  It was given new life in the modern area by Arabs and Palestinians who  have spread the lie that Israelis steal organs from Palestinian children to use a spare parts for sick Jews.  This rumor even spread to Haiti after Israel sent a field hospital to aid in the international recovery effort after the 2010 Haitian earthquake.

In general the blood libel is one in a trend of antisemitic canards (stereotypical lies).  Other common ones are that Jews control the media, control the banks, control the government, and are not patriotic or have dual loyalty to Israel and the nations of their citizenship.  These lies have surfaced time and time again against the Jews and was justification for antisemitic attacks.

The French dragged out the accusation of disloyalty during the Dreyfus Affair.  The Germans used all of them to justify the Holocaust.

The reality is these canards are ways for people who cannot rationalize the world around them and feel like they have no control over their own lives to scapegoat some other group for their problems.

In the aftermath of the Las Vegas shooting it is EYE POPPING to watch almost all of these antisemitic canards dragged out against gun owners in general and the NRA in particular.

Kurt Eichenwald went to twitter to attack gun owners who own AR pattern rifles for wanting to kill American Troops.

Here is Joe Scarborough saying exactly the same thing on his show.

See, gun owners are disloyal to America and want to kill American soldiers.

Writer Brett Arends also questioned the loyalty of gun rights advocates.  Either they support gun rights or they support mass shootings.

There is no room in these people’s minds for a person to be a law abiding, patriotic, gun owner.

Next is the conspiracy that the NRA – as some sort of nebulous entity – secretly controls Congress with money.

Here is a California state Rep explaining how all gun owners and gun rights advocates are collectively responsible for this one shooting because they control Congress.

In response to the news the Rep Steve Scalise would continue to support gun rights after being shot, this was the response by some on Twitter.

Forget principles, it’s all about the NRA money.

A writer for WaPo tried to explain, poorly, how the NRA owns Congress.

ZOMG!!!  Only $3.5 Million since 1998, that’s…. nothing.  But never mind that $3.5 Million is a drop in the ocean of political money, it’s NRA money and that’s bad.

The LA Times published an article making the same claims about how this shooting is caused by the NRA and “fist fulls of money.”

Here is Rob Reiner explaining how the NRA has a “death grip” on Congress.  Or not explaining.  It doesn’t matter how this doesn’t make sense, it’s real to Rob Reiner.

It’s not just Congress but the Media that the NRA controls.  Apparently CNN things that the NRA is so powerful that we can’t even talk about gun control on TV.

Lastly, we have the idea that the NRA is a subversive force in America that works against her best interests.

The San Francisco Gate published an article how “White men with guns are America’s real terrorists – and the NRA is enabling them.”

Brett Arends said the same.

These are the same people who went out of their way to explain why Antifa is just a tiny little group and how they are not terrorists and never mind them anyway, the real “terrorists” to them are law abiding citizens who want to preserve a Constitutionally protected right and prevent the collective punishment of other US citizens.

These are the same conspiratorial lies over and over again.  A small group of others – this time (generally not-Progressive) gun owners and the NRA – amasses some unparalleled political power through money to control the government and media, and is disloyal to America, putting their desires for power above the safety of poor non-NRA children.

Same shit, different scapegoat, and just as ugly, hateful, and bigoted.

Sunday night’s shooting in Vegas is – with as much info as I have – the weirdest shooting ever.

Virtually no details have been released.  I haven’t seen one confirmed source saying what the shooter used.  His background is changing by the hour.  There is still no motive.

The result is a Hurricane Harvey of bullshit, “first to print and retract later” journalism, and conspiracy theories.

Just like with Hurricane Harvey the response by celebrities and the radical Progressives was very different than that of the regular people.

The typical purulent fistulas (usually of the far left) are out celebrating the deaths of (presumably) Trump supporting, Republicans as a country music event, and blaming the NRA and calling it a terrorist organization.

Politicians and activist groups couldn’t wait to espouse their ignorance, raising money, and becoming racially divisive.

Then you see videos of regular people volunteering their pickups to drive the wounded to hospitals and lines for blood donations at blood banks lined up around the block with people waiting for hours to give blood.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the shooting, which means even if they didn’t do it, they approve of it.  The Westboro Baptist Church is also on the side of the shooter, claiming he was sent by god to punish the wicked.

A little pro tip for many people out there, when you find yourself on the same moral side as both ISIS and the Westboro Baptist Church, you can be 100% sure your opinion is pure fucking evil.  You can take that to the bank and cash it for a one way ticket to hell.

It makes you wonder if one becomes a soulless shit stain after becoming a progressive politician/celebrity, or if soulless shit stains are the ones attracted to progressive politics/celebrity status.

But with the total lack of reliable information while drowning in the vomitous opinions and posturing of far too many people who seem only to opine from the sewer of their inner being, I’m going to take a moratorium on discussing the Las Vegas shooting until substantially more verifiable facts are known.

The whole of the Left leaning US media and politicians from Slate, to Vox, to MSNBC, to Bernie Sanders, to Saturday Night Live are claiming that Trump is killing people in Puerto Rico because he is a racist.

The Left is trying to sink Trump with Puerto Rico.

This I cannot abide.

Not because I like Trump, but because I am watching some of the worst parts of history repeat itself.

From 1932 to 1933, the Soviet goverment under Joseph Stalin deliberately starved to death at lest 3.3 million Ukrainians.  It was a politically motivated famine, engineered to break the Ukrainian people.  It is one of the many enormities of Communism in the 20th century and has come be known as the Holodomor.

In China, Mao instituted the Great Leap Forward.  A Communist revolution that resulted in the starvation and death of upwards of 45 million Chinese from 1958 to 1962.

In Cambodia, Pol Pol, another Communist leader, starved some 1 Million Cambodians to death, and worked another Million to death feeding his army.

The firing squads and death camps of Communism couldn’t hold a candle to the deaths by famine that Communism created.  The number one killer of the Left was not bullets but empty bellies.

Puerto Rico is an unincorporated United States territory.  It is approximately 1,014 miles from Puerto Rico to Miami.  Unfortunately, Cuba lies close to in between at 762 miles, and apparently has had more of an influence on the Government of Puerto Rico than the US.

The mayor of San Juan (the capital city of the island), Carmen Yulin Cruz, has been all over the news criticizing Trump, saying that Trump is killing Puerto Rican citizens.

She appeared on CNN with Anderson Cooper wearing a T-shirt saying “Help us we are dying.”

She said the same at a press conference.

At that press conference her back drop was pallets of canned food.

That seemed odd.

Since then, a pattern of stories has emerged.

A Puerto Rican engineer, businessman, and CEO took the local government of Puerto Rico to task in the New York Post for being “completely inept” and corrupt.

The Ángel Pérez Otero is the mayor of Guaynabo, a small town next to San Juan.  He claims that Mayor Cruz is not been attending meetings with FEMA or US resources and instead has been out playing politics.

A woman claiming to be a police officer in Puerto Rico called into a NYC Spanish radio station claiming that the Governor and Mayor Cruz have been holding back supplies and only providing relief when cameras were around.

Geraldo Rivera, who is of Puerto Rican heritage on his father’s side (just for your social justice warriors who care about that), has been in Puerto Rico and has come to the same conclusion.  Namely, the local goverment is too incompetent and corrupt to help in the disaster relief effort.

Hanlon’s razor a rule which states “Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.”  Most of the time it is accurate.

In this case, I don’t think it applies.

Mayor Cruz celebrated the release of FALN terrorist mastermind Oscar Lopez Rivera.

FALN is short for Fuerzas Armadas de Liberación Nacional (Armed Forces of National Liberation), which was a terrorist organization that bombed a number of US locations in the 1970’s and 1980’s.  FALN was a Socialist organization and Oscar Lopez Rivera is a hero of the Socialist Party, beloved by Communists everywhere.  The Wikipedia post calls FALN a Maxrist Communist organization.

It may seem conspiratorial, but it seems that we have is a Socialist/Communist sympathizing mayor who, in the great Socialist/Communist tradition, is deliberately starving her own people for political purposes.

The media is complicit in this Puerto Rican holodomor (if indeed people are dying of famine) because it is a great way to shit on Trump.

The far left, once again, is willing to fill graves by means of empty bellies to score a political victory.  This time, they are doing it to American citizens.

Apparently the hip thing to do if you are a celebrity with a social media presence is to randomly Tweet opinions worthy of Heinrich Himmler.

Disagree with Lauren Duca’s side and you are hostile to American democracy.  Presumably democracy should defend itself from this hostile action, and engage in violence against Trump supporters.

Nothing says Nazi tolerance like dragging a political dissident’s children out of their homes in the middle of the night.

It is really become apropos of nothing that famous people with blue check marks on Twitter try to whip their followers into a two minutes hate against anybody who has committed the thought crime of supporting the duly elected president of the United States.

These Tweets really reveal the character of these people.  They think they are showing the world just how good they are by hating Trump and his supporters.  I don’t think they realize that “vote for our person next time or we’ll take your children away and kill you” is either a moral or winning message.
