Sometime today and thanks to a strike of a pen, the citizens of Colorado will be breath away from becoming felons.  People will lose their rights because elected officials thought themselves elected to kingdom, not office and thus also believe in their infallibility.

They are wrong but they don’t know it yet.

After July 1st, 2013 we will see the new Gun Control laws being abused by the powers that be. People that did not pay attention to the process before will be amazed that the simple fact of loaning a small metal box sent somebody to prison, a life destroyed and wonder how that happened and why weren’t them informed. They wonder why such unreasonable law was even considered in their legislature, much less approved. And they will also found out that an interloper from the East Coast was behind the whole thing buying their elected “legislators” with cold harsh cash for their re-election coffers carpetbagging the state with the influence of somebody who cannot control his own city.

The Legislators with a (D) after their names are smug right now thinking they are secure in their posts and that they will have backing when 2014 comes along and the election cycle starts. But the smugness has blinded them into not seeing what’s coming and it is not gonna be pretty. They pissed way too many people and many more will be pissed when tax income start to drop and they need to pay for those treats to keep the faithful followers properly content. And the potheads will not be voting for them again since they already got what they wanted.

And I am upset at what the Citizens of Colorado will have to undergo for the next couple of years, I have to smile at the thought of the beat-down the Anti Bill of Rights Dems will receive at the ballots followed immediately for the invalidation of their gun control laws. It will be an example for the rest of the country and a reminder to legislators everywhere that they are just people working for the people and not Aristocracy forcing cake recipes.

And that will be an awesome day to see.

So the bells are indeed tolling in Colorado. But the true recipients of the sounds do not realize it.

Their loss…our gain.

Spread the love

  1. This is basically what I think as well, but I’m also going to have to live through it, which doesn’t give me too many warm fuzzies. Luckily I’m in a county where, last election, there was 16% democrat turnout, so I have doubts that the cops will really be looking for these things…

  2. I did say that losing this battle had the potential to become a long-term victory.

Lucky for me, my entire collection happens to be compliant.

Honestly, though, at this point I’m just looking towards the day when the next civil war begins. It won’t be pretty, but I think a lot of people are going to be surprised.

  3. The loss of one battle will be heavily propped up. Don’t lose hope, it’s a Pyrrhic victory since it basically will galvanize voters and a 2010 redo of the shellacking will happen because of these.

  4. “a reminder to legislators everywhere that they are just people working for the people and not Aristocracy”

Oh my Gosh – I only wish more people in politics understood this. Too many of them are in it for the lavish rewards and fame, and far too few of them are in it for the ‘right’ reasons and for the people they serve

    1. Oh, you’re welcome. Just as soon as we kick out the corrupt politicians who don’t realize they aren’t.

  5. This sounds a bit counter intuitive, but After 7/1 I hope everyone with a spring-filled metal box has the opportunity to experience An Interaction With The Authorities. To the point that I’d suggest filing complaints against police who fail to enforce the law.

That enforcement, BTW, only has to be “Hello, I’m Officer Unfriendly, if that magazine was purchased after 7/1, or you loan it to anyone, or anyone loaned it to you, you’re going to jail for a felony. Is that your magazine and if so when did you buy it?”

“It’s mine and I bought it last December, officer.”

“OK, then. Have a nice day.”

2014 will be important; anyone started the planning cycle on reduced cost travel from elsewhere to come help? We’ve got our own 2014 battles coming up in SC, but I’d be willing to come to Colorado to knock on doors for a couple weeks if it were cheap enough (a retiree’s budget is a bit thin….).
