MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Three people are dead, including a state corrections officer, and at least another five are injured following a shooting that took place outside a Kendall business as a graduation party was ending.

According to Miami-Dade Police, the shooting took place in the parking lot of the College Park Plaza Shopping Plaza at SW 104 Street and 109 Court, where there was a party at a hookah lounge.

As people were leaving, “one or maybe two vehicles pulled up and began to fire at the crowd,” said Miami-Dade Police Director Freddie Ramirez.

The car then sped off and crashed into a wall at the nearby Miami Dade College Kendall campus. Both driver and passenger were killed. At least one firearm was found in the car. Police are also looking for a second car that may have been involved.

3 Dead, At Least 5 Hurt When Gunmen Open Fire On Graduation Party In Kendall

Another ambush at another party at another party location, but this time on the other side of the county.  I believe we can say there is a pattern being formed. Just a hunch.

And, of course, the culprit is gun violence, nothing else.

I do hope the detectives investigating these sad events are following clues and not political directives or the body count will grow.

  1. Police Chiefs are appointed by the Mayor or similar: they are political when things get tough…. Portland, Seattle, and more are examples.

      1. In Portland Oregon they use a “commission” government so the Mayor or one of the city council acts as police commissioner and appoints the police chief who has to be state certified. There are also elected sheriffs for all three of the Metro counties although at the moment only Multnomah County has any major presence or commitment in Portland.

  2. Hey Miguel;;

    Sounds like tit for tat retaliation for the other hit a weekend ago? But the police chiefs can’t say that it is “thugs killing thugs,” ruins “da narrative “. I hope the are following clues and not political ties, ot it will continue.

    Self correcting problem.

  4. Anybody other than me ever wonder if there is ever going to be a decedent who, as he was turning his life around, was enrolled in a carpentry/plumbing/electrician/auto mechanic apprentice program/school?

    Is there something about rap, and those drawn to it, that, oh, I dunno, glorifies violence, or something?

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
