About a year ago I wrote a couple of posts about the absolutely fantastic HBO miniseries Chernobyl.

Yes,the series took a few minor liberties with the science, but it was otherwise amazing.

A consistent theme of the series was the rampant dishonesty of the Soviet Union.

They didn’t acknowledge the meltdown.  When people responded to what they said was just a fire they claimed the radiation was minimal.  When it started to rain radiation on Europe they lied about how bad it was.  They buried bodies in mass graves and covered up everything to hide the real numbers.

Then in the end you find out that the whole meltdown occurred because the Soviets covered up a reactor design flaw that they knew about.

All of this was repeated by the Chinese Communist Party with the Coronavirus this year.

They knew about it and lied.  They covered it up.  They gave bad information to the rest of the world allowing an epidemic to turn into a pandemic.

Now we find out that this virus might have come from a research lab that they knew was not handling dangerous viruses with proper safety procedures.

It’s the same story all over again.  Chernobyl 2: Wuhan Bat Flu.

The media that loved to see Trump in Chernobyl’s portrayal of Gorbachev, has totally ignored this parallels.

For the rest of us the lesson is clear. Communist governments always lie.

It has worked. I have seen people give a wide berth to our house.  Not all, mind you, but it added a couple of percentage points to the overall strategy.

So, what else could I do? The Backyard!

The great selling point of the house is without a doubt the lake access. Great view, you can swim and fish in it.  The problem is that during Dry Season line now, water recedes enough that people can walk around it. That is usually not a problem with the neighbors because they are respectful, but we get people from outside that come for fishing and leave messes behind. And God Forbid you tell them to clean after themselves! You are not the boss of them!

So I figured in time of Chino Virus, why not use their preconceptions against them?

After all, I do like social distancing.

She divorced her previous husband to marry a political consultant she paid a quarter-million dollars to, and now they they are married will pay more than a million dollars to, having established the market rate from before they were married.

And according to the laws written by Congress to police Congress…

If you wonder why Congress seems to be filled with the worst people. Just leaking fistulas, discharging from the asshole of this nation, this is why.

Because decent people of good moral character would be repulsed by engaging in this sort of transparently bad behavior.

Politicians have figured out how to legalize it and make Kosher.

Such an institution will guarantee to attract only the worst people.

“Get Woke, Go Broke” was never better exemplified that with Dick’s Sporting Goods. 40,000 without jobs and the company not making a black cent.

Gimenez cannot follow the dangerous precedents of Gov. DeSantis or President Trump, picking dates out of thin air to declare amenities reopened, while they make saving lives an afterthought. He’s done a better job than either up to this point, and he shouldn’t sully his track record in a rush to normalcy.
Gimenez seems aware of the minefield through which he’s walking. He has solicited public-health experts’ guidance, not acting unilaterally, or prematurely, and then having to walk back a misguided decision.

And what expert advice should we follow? One that has the approval of the Democratic Party?  Or is the Editorial Boar of the Herald just being contrary because it is their duty as members of the political opposition’s propaganda machine.

I know, we should follow the advice of experts like Dr Ezequiel Emanuel (Yes, related to former Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel )who says the U.S. Must Stay Locked Down For 12-18 Months Until There’s A Vaccine.  People are losing their patience and it has barely been a month and a half. Suicide Prevention hotlines have received an increase of 600% in the number of calls but the imbeciles at the Herald want to keep people unnaturally bottled up because it is the political thing to do.

What ticks me off the most is that the guidelines recommended by the White House actually make sense and may even be considered a tad slow. But the biggest criticism I have seen from other sources is that the responsibility for opening the state is placed on the Governor, which kinda destroys the preferred Media narrative that Trump is acting like an out of control King/Dictator without any respect for the 10th Amendment.

I should have not been surprised by this editorial. We are but a mere 6 months away from the Elections and the Miami Herald needs to do its part and more for the Democrats and Liberals in general.
