This is an award for his TV briefings.
Briefings in which he attacked Trump after he (Cuomo) caused the largest loss of life due to COVID of any state in the union by a wide margin.
This is actually worst than his book deal.
This means that other people than Cuomo and his brother thought that he did a good deal.

A guy I trust on numbers says the Johns Hopkins site put the US as the worst number of deaths in the world, but if you take out New York and the neighboring states that got people from New York, we drop to 37th. Way to go Cuomo!
