BAREFOOT BAY — An accused burglar is dead after Brevard County deputies said he hid in a pond while on the run and was killed by an 11-foot-long alligator.
Matthew Riggins, 22, of Palm Bay was reported missing Nov. 13. His body was found 10 days later floating in a pond near Latan Court and Barefoot Circle, in Barefoot Bay. Investigators said it had the makings of a gator attack

    1. Check with the missus. Apparently women object big reptiles close by, specially if they can feast upon the other pets. I can’t get mine to even allow claymores.

  1. Hey, that’s about 15 or 20 miles south of me.

But, yeah, I think swimming after dark is pretty much out of the question around here – fresh or salt water

I’ll never forget walking around the neighborhoods one night and seeing one gator, a little one like maybe 4′ long, climbing a fence around one of those little drainage ponds you see everywhere.

  2. There is at least some quick justice left in the world Gator Justice.Maybe we can introduce them into our prison systems for violent wrong doers. Then maybe they will think twice before doing their crimes.
