Navy Yard Shooting: Let me get this straight.

We have the Navy Yard, a gun free zone. The Navy Yard is in Washington D.C. which is another gun free zone so that makes it double. We have an active shooter going into this double Gun Free Zone and starts killing people.

The solution was to send people with the guns that should have been there in the first place to avoid the massacre.

I guess nobody could toss a pair of scissors at 1,100 pps or a fire extinguisher at 3,000 fps against the shooter. But don’t worry, Homeland Security will spend half billion dollars studying what could be done and post it in a Youtube video.

Underpants Gnomes Statistics & Research.

The Cult Coalition to Stop Gun Rights Violence is all giddy this morning with the following:

CSGV DATAI found the report’s website and being the cheap bastard I am, I decided not to waste my money buying it, specially after I read the “study” method:

Methods. We conducted a negative binomial regression analysis of panel data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Web-Based Injury Statistics Query and Reporting Systems database on gun ownership and firearm homicide rates across all 50 states during 1981 to 2010. We determined fixed effects for year, accounted for clustering within states with generalized estimating equations, and controlled for potential state-level confounders.

Wait, what gun ownership database? Again, What gun ownership database across 50 states? How can you make a study using something that does not exist? I know darn well that Florida does not have a Gun Registry of any kind so there goes the 50 states quote. In fact, how many states have a gun registry, much less an accurate gun registry?

I am sure we will be seeing some serious peer review later, but so far things do not look good for the study. Probably they took their statistical cues from the same people who created the formulas to determine the number of hurricanes we will have during any given year or the advance of global warming.

Zimmerman Jailed Again, Entire Nation Calls for Stand Your Ground Repeal, Krissy has Forehead Bruise From Repeated Facepalm

Speaking on the condition of anonymity because he’s an imaginary person, Florida Police Officer Jim confirmed reports that George Zimmerman has once again been arrested.

While he declined to comment on what landed Zimmerman in jail again, he did offer the following, “Well.” Officer shrugs. “He you know. He’s been pulled over twice now. And then that thing with his wife. Plus, you know he shot that kid… and.” Officer appeared to be gathering his thoughts. “Well then, you know, he saved those people in that accident, or something like that. And then. Well, pretty much everyone just thinks he’s an asshole.”

Your insightful funny for the day 🙂

I was thinking….

…. after the sublime beat down in Colorado recalling Morse and Giron, one of the Gun Control groups’ spins has been. “Well, it does not matter. The laws are still on the books.”

They are basically saying: “Once we got what we want, if you get it in the gonads, it will not matter much to us.”

It kinda sends the wrong message to legislators, specially a lack of loyalty for putting themselves in the chopping block. So, Dear Legislators: When your alleged supporters want you to change the oil of the bus while in motion…….not good. Rethink allegiances.

CSGV: NRA Mass Killer Backpack! ZOMG!

The Cult Coalition to Stop Gun Rights Violence are evacuating cement blocks about a range bag. Apparently, the main cause that Mass Killers are ineffectual in bringing death and destruction is that they are not quite organized. Apparently and according to the geniuses at CSGV, this backpack will solve that problem. That range bags and range backpacks have been on the market for decades seems to have escaped their collective brain trust….or maybe it is because it has the NRA logo on it that makes it double secret hateful.

WE NEED BACK PACK CONTROL NOW!

They get told real quick but knowing their penchant for deleting contrary opinions, I had to save the screen cap:

CSGV NRA backpackWell said Mr. Neighbors. Hats off to you sir.
