The media have anointed Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee in 2020.  Sure, there are other primary candidates, but none of them have already gotten their own town hall courtesy of CNN.  We can all expect the same media bias for Kamala that we saw used to make Hillary Clinton the nominee back in 2016.

It’s clear why she is the media favorite, she checks a lot of the same boxes that Obama checked.  She’s younger than all the other likely or announced candidates by a solid 20 years.  She’s a minority of immigrant parents.  She has been associated with some radical Leftists.

To he honest, she’s the only Democrat so far that hasn’t come off looking someone built a geriatric android programmed to mimic senility.

Her proposed policies are an amalgamation of Bernie Sanders and AOC talking point.

She wants Medicare for All to such a degree that she wants to ban private insurance.

She wants universal Pre-Kindergarten and debt free college.

Her tax policy is nothing short of taking from the upper middle class and and giving to the poor.

Her legislation would provide a refundable tax credit of $6,000 for married couples earning up to $60,000 a year. Single filers making up to $30,000 and single parents earning up to $80,000 would get a credit of $3,000. The credit would then start to phase out. Couples and single parents with earnings of more than $100,000 and single filers making more than $50,000 would no longer be eligible.

Harris proposes to pay for it by repealing the provisions of the 2017 GOP tax law that benefit those making more than $100,000 and placing a fee on financial institutions.

Fantastic, I can’t wait to lose my tax return every year.   Paying more in taxes is really going to help my bottom line.  Not getting money back is going to be so awesome!

Remember when I talked about the problems with envy and dekulakization?  It’s all fun and games to get the crowed fired up by saying that you are going to tax the millionaires, but eventually the spiteful nature of envy means that people will want to hurt everyone that has only one dollar more than they do and the middle class professionals making $100K per year end up in the gulags too.

Yesterday I saw a Tweet that had been reposted a number of times, because it was so spot on.

Clearly Kamala Harris wants us to vote in socialism.

She also wants to stop us from shooting our way out of it.

She let it slip the first time.  Her goal is to ban semi-automatic weapons.

And no, you can’t respect the Second Amendment and want a ban on semi-autos.

We can point out the failures of compliance in state after state when thee government has mandated people surrender assault weapons, high capacity magazines, bump stocks, or other banned items.  But non-compliance isn’t a guarantee of rights, it’s just the roll of the dice that you won’t get caught and nailed to the wall.

What good is that with guns, where the only way of maintaining proficiency is use?  If your AR is banned, how do you take it to the range?

So here we have Kamala Harris proposing to take money from everyone making $100,000 or more and giving that money to everyone making less that in tax returns, healthcare, and cradle to college graduation education.

Why not, 92% of Americans make less than $100,000, that’s how socialism gets voted in.

And she going to take your guns to make sure you can’t shoot your way out of the socialism that was just voted in.

Warning letters in hand, Zach Rybarczyk patrolled the food court at Union Station, looking for offenders.

Past Auntie Anne’s, past Johnny Rockets. At Lotus Express, a Chinese food joint, Rybarczyk peeled the wrapper from a red straw and bent the end — the telltale giveaway.

Washington has become the latest city in a nationwide movement to ban plastic straws, and it’s up to Rybarczyk, an inspector for the D.C. Department of Energy and Environment, to enforce the new law.

The straw cop left the rattled cashier at Lotus Express with a warning that if the store was still using plastic straws by July, when a grace period expires, it could be fined up to $800.

Exceptions to Requirements for the Purchase and Sale of Firearms: Defines “holder of concealed weapons permit” to include certified law enforcement officers; revises definition of “law enforcement officer”; exempts holders of concealed weapons permit from specified county waiting period requirements when purchasing firearm.

I see no problems with this bill. expands the definition to cover LEOs and does pre-emption to counties wanting to be jerks about firearm sales to CWP holders.

Right now, the only people who have guns in the country are the military and the criminals.

Think about that for a moment.

The only people who have the potential to stand up to Maduro are criminal gangs. These aren’t even gangs who are conducting illegal activity as an act of defiance against a tyrannical leader. These are just your garden-variety armed thugs.

Which means those are the people who will decide Venezuela’s fate.

‘Guys With Guns’ Will Determine Venezuela’s Future, So We’ll Keep Ours

On the night of January 24, there was unrest in the Jose Felix Ribas slum of Petare, a part of what is called the Capital Region of Caracas. There was also a gathering of people in the downtown area of Petare where they blocked the roads.  It was night-time and police was sent to both locations to disperse the crowds. Now, being night and against regular cops, the criminal element decided to play games and started to take potshots in the general direction of the police and the cops returned the favor.  As far as I could find out in Social Media, nobody got shot that night and maybe a couple of arrest with the corresponding ass beating.

In Social media, the criminals were lauded for standing up to the government forces and savior of the people. I mean, the people being robbed and abused every day by the criminals were claiming them to be some sort of heroes. It was surreal to yours truly. I guess a mass version of the Stockholm syndrome was happening.

But come daylight, the slum was suddenly surprised by the arrival of the  heavily armed FAES, a mix between SWAT and crash troops who swept the area at gun point, arrested several people and shot at what they did not like. No criminals come out to defend the slum of the arrested compadres. They hid like criminals do when facing superior firepower.

And the People? They shut the hell up and remained inside their homes, afraid they would be next going to the dungeons of the Security forces of the government. The heroes they celebrated so greatly just some hours before, turned out to be a huge disappointment.

The lesson was learned that day. If Criminals do not screw with the government, they will be left alone and won’t be shot. Criminals can continue to screw with the regular folks who get to live between the guns of the Government and the guns of the Bad Guys rendering very meek and peaceful. Two armed minorities reached an understanding and can control an unarmed majority. And the majority is paying the price of electing socialist jackasses and approving one of the most restrictive gun control laws in the world where even airsoft gun and fishing spears need to be regulated and registered.

Go read Miguel’s post about Twitter shutting down people who were telling a bunch of smug, gender studies majors who were being paid to write op-eds about the evils of white hetero-normative cis-patriarchy, that they should learn to code after getting shit canned because nobody wants to pay for a subscription to HuffPo when they can get that crap for free on Tumblr.

Now consider that Twitter did NOTHING to stop the targeted harassment of the Covington Catholic School kids, or their families.  The school was closed down for a few days due to the number of death threats received.  Celebrities and politicians spread false and defamatory information about these kids.  They were doxxed.

Nick Sandamnn, the smirking kid, and his family have retained L. Lin Wood, the defamation attorney famous for defending Richard Jewell, the security guard blamed for the Atlanta Olympic bombing.

This incredible bias by Twitter is an orgy of evidence that Twitter should be held liable as a publisher, for every libel and threat made against Sandmann and the rest of the Covington Catholic School kids.

Twitter has an equity standing of roughly $5 Billion.  I’d like to see a Catholic School kid in Kentucky get a sizable chunk of that.

I can guarantee that will open the floodgates of libel lawsuits against Twitter, and eventually Facebook, by every defamed person who has been the subject of a ginned up hate mob.

Twitters bias will be their undoing.

These are people who had no problem mocking people losing blue-collar jobs, publishing fake stories and creating false narratives to destroy the lives and reputation of people and even disrupt elections, but need a shield to protect them from three words?

I swear they need to wear hats if it is snowing outside. A single flake may go through their skulls and wound them.
