I have no problem with the asshole spending a bunch of time and money running for a failing presidential campaign. I am a Capitalist and if he gets to feed people, I can’t deny the transaction.
It is stuff like this that makes you doubt we will swap the way we think about cars any time soon. I believe that electrical cars will be an amazing leap once we solve the generation issue. The idea of 4 electrical motors propelling the vehicle opens so many possibilities that I cannot wait for it to happen. But the electricity needs to be generated on demand internally and easy to refill and not simply stored, drained and then attached to an umbilical for hours.
Authorities in Portland, Oregon, appear to have given violent antifa militants free rein to assault journalists and innocent bystanders at will in the streets of the city.
…
And over the weekend, local videographer Brandon Brown and several other independent journalists were attacked by a menacing mob of antifa militants while filming a demonstration in downtown Portland.
The “orange liquid” sprayed over Brandon Brown’s face was bear mace. It’s an oil that burns & doesn’t easily wash off. Antifa have been using it as a weapon of choice in attacks against journalists they dislike. Brown did nothing to provoke this violence: https://t.co/BGqU1g5vFqpic.twitter.com/ZhsgQQlDZe
The antifa goons showed up to counter-protest a planned Ku Klux Klan/white supremacy rally at a downtown park, but that rally was apparently a hoax that was cancelled at the last minute. With nothing else to do, the militants targeted journalists who showed up to cover the event, the police, public property, and at least one person on their own side
I wonder how long it os going to take for Portland Antifa to decide to carve out a “safe zone” for themselves? Have their own little empire, a few blocks of Portland where they are the absolute law and the cops are not allowed to patrol. We have seen this in Europe and in Venezuela of lately where they even have their own currency. I cannot shake the idea that Portland is a gigantic Petri dish where an experiment is being conducted by those elected to power as mandated by those behind them. If there is a place that needs a Who Is John Galt?, Portland fits the bill 100%
According to the report, the victim was sitting on his walker in the 12800 block of Southwest 8th Street around 2 a.m. Monday when he was approached by Serna, who grabbed a garbage can lid and started hitting the man multiple times, knocking him to the ground.
…
While the victim was on the ground, Serna grabbed the walker and hit the man on the head with it twice, before hitting him with a racket, the report said.
Serna rifled through the victim’s pockets and stole his wallet, then demanded the victim’s PIN to his food stamp card, the report said. The victim gave Serna the wrong number, and Serna fled the scene, the report said.
We were just talking about enhanced penalties for crimes of violence against the elderly and this one just happened to pop yesterday. And no, the guy is not sick or mental, he simply does not have the same morals we do. He is a criminal with his own life guidelines and they do not include being fair or treating the elderly with respect. But don’t trust me, go to 1:56 and listen what he has to say.

Amazingly, he shows no felony time in Florida. No idea on other arrests.
I am sure some of you have seen this, if not, please watch it.
Now, it is a great demonstration in not only the weaknesses of each device but the knowledge and skill of Deviant Ollam and his team. But does it apply in regular, every day life? I had discussions in Social Media with people who refuse to secure firearms because “anything can be opened, so why waste the money.” Yes, apparently the theft of a gun from a car is covered by some insurance or something.
We have seen that most of the car burglaries are people who spent all of 39 seconds inside the vehicle and grabbing at whatever they could that was not nailed down. And that is after they found the car door unlocked which is half the battle. Tweakers are got going to spend time and money on buying picks and assorted locksmithing tool to rip off the change in the center console of an unlocked car. They want an easy acquisition with little trouble and if they find something valuable, the better.
So, we use our cheap box out of sight and inside a locked car with alarm when we go to a Gun Free Zone. We layer our security knowing that if they know we can make them waste time and call attention, they will probably seek am easier target.
The same applies to kids. depending on their age, you will need to tailor gun storage. While the simple car Tweaker Box will be enough for 4 and under at home (providing you hide the frigging key well), but safer and more difficult devices will be needed as they grow old enough to be properly trained and specially if they are going to have friends coming over.
The first rule of security id the proper application of common sense.
CHICAGO (AP) — The day Margarita Del Pilar Fitzpatrick applied for an Illinois driver’s license upended her life. When a clerk offered to register her to vote in 2005, the Peruvian citizen mistakenly accepted, leading to long legal battles and eventually deportation.
“Mistakenly” Ok, why not?
A decade and a half later, she struggles to find work at 52, is nearly homeless and hasn’t seen two of her three American citizen daughters in years because of a secretary of state’s office mishap.
Mishap? What awful accident happened?
“It has derailed our lives,” she said in a phone interview from Lima. “Immigrants should not be put in this situation.”
I am in pins and needled. What evil American thing is torturing this poor woman?
A handful of other immigrants could face a similar fate, or criminal charges, after a mistake in Illinois’ automatic voter registration system allowed of hundreds of people who identified themselves as non-U.S. citizens to register. Sixteen cast ballots.
Wait, what?
Fitzpatrick presented both her Peruvian passport and U.S. green card when applying for a driver’s license in 2005. She was confused by a clerk who said it was “up to you” if she wanted to register so she did. Then she voted, saying she did not learn it was illegal until applying for citizenship years later. The government moved to have her deported, which courts upheld. She was removed in 2017. ( Bold mine)
She didn’t know? I call bullshit. They tell you when you get your green Card that you get many of the privileges of a citizen, but loud and clear you are told you cannot vote, period. And that is you vote, you are breaking the law and will be deported. And even in the Spanish TV Channels, during election time, they keep telling you can’t vote if you are not a citizen or be subject of ICE ejection from the country. And no, I am done buying the poor ignorant immigrant acting role because I know it is just bullshit to appeal as a victim.
The hilarious part is that the “automatic voter registration” being blamed for the troubles and the article mentions how Republicans are trying to get rid of it because of similar problems all over the country. Not much commentary from the Democrats, why? Because “automatic voter registration” is also know and Motor Voter Law or with the official name of National Voter Registration Act of 1993, one of the crown jewels of the Democrats and one William Jefferson Clinton.
