Residents in buildings for coronavirus-quarantined residents in New South Wales, Australia, are reportedly being limited in the number of alcoholic beverages they have delivered while in lockdown, but an NSW Health spokeswoman disputed a claim that excess alcohol is being confiscated.
The affected buildings are within NSW Health’s Special Health Accommodation, where coronavirus-positive patients are housed for quarantine, and a Sydney Local Health District spokeswoman reportedly confirmed the alcohol delivery limits. The Washington Examiner reached out to NSW Health for comment.
Residents have reportedly complained that care packages have been searched for contraband before delivery.
“They are searching all bags and things coming into the building. … They confiscated a series of gifts. So things like bottles of spirits, we weren’t allowed to have those, and we still [aren’t],” said Robin Elhaj, resident of Mission Australia’s Common Ground building.
US Revenooers back in the 30’s would have loved to have had such meek targets rather than the moonshiners and mobsters that actually shot back and killed agents more times that they want to admit. I am still amazed at how fast Australia collapsed into a Prison State the likes not seen since East Germany was still patrolling the Berlin Wall. This is the country where 99 out of a hundred native living creatures will effing kill you, yet the Australians in toto behave like freshly beaten wives and keep taking it up the exit chute.

The NSW Health’s Special Health Accommodation is supposed to be for quarantining COVID positive patients. If they aren’t in prison, why do packages need to be searched for “contraband”? Somehow, I suspect that the “contraband” goes home with the SHA guards, rather than being held until the
patientsinmates are released.Remember that Australia, like the rest of the world, does not have a Bill of Rights.
NSW has been the leading Australian nanny state long before all of this. Sad but not suprising.
