I can’t think of a category

State Sen. Evie Hudak (Co) takes an exit before more damage is done.

Democratic state Sen. Evie Hudak, whose constituents are attempting to oust her from office in a special recall election, is set to resign her seat.

Hudak will hold a news conference Wednesday morning at the Arvada Library.

“By resigning I am protecting these important new laws for the good of Colorado and ensuring that we can continue looking forward,” Hudak wrote in her resignation letter in regard to her gun votes, which led to the recall effort.

I am guessing the “electioneers” in the Party crunched numbers and realized she was going to get her rumpus beaten. Possibly she was visited by a Democrat Operative and told to disappear before the Senate changed hands. Dems will still control it but by one vote only.

One of the many lessons to be learned here is that once Bloomberg gets what he wants, your cease to be useful and do not expect him to help you. And we have times three confirmation in Colorado of his loyalty to his “friends.”

This Ammo Shortage has Everybody in a Bind, even George Z.

Even George Zimmerman.

I am guessing that George has not gone religiously to his local Wally World in search of supplies. A couple of almost non-entities in the gun control debate and USA Today freak about 5 guns and 100 rounds of ammo as if it was proof positive that a war was about to be declared in Central Florida. People, please get a grip. My cat was just laying on top of 400 rounds of ammo here on the desk and I carry almost 50 rounds of ammo when I leave the house with my gun for serious social occasions. Anybody that carries a Glock 19 and 2 spare mags will go over 50 rounds and not even think about it.

At Popehat, the first comment about Zimmerman’s ammo situation is comedic gold (thanks to Say Uncle for noticing it):

zimmerman arrest ammo guns3That’s funny right there, I don’t care who you are.

PS: The shotgun confiscated was a KelTec KSG 12. While the Antis are commenting and complaining about Zimmerman having all that ammo, Gunnies pretty much are asking the same thing: Where the hell did Zimmerman get a KSG12, the Sasquatch of long guns?

Dear MAIG: er…huh?

MAIG Rep Polis2It goes without saying that commercial gun sales between a Federal Firearms  Licensee and civilian customers are already subject to background checks so, Why this ad?

For a while I thought that somebody in the Art department was stupid enough to release this without fact-checking it. Then again I remember who are we dealing with here and I would not be surprised that they are willing to issue a deceitful ad as long as it would help them. Lies travel faster and farther than corrections.

Brushfire Plague: On Kindle and On Sale.

About a year ago, I reviewed the book Brushfire Plague by R.P. Ruggiero. I liked the book as it was not the traditional Prepper/Survivor book where the hero is ready for the upcoming invasion of Zombie Locust from hell. The main characters have to learn the hard way what’s required to do to survive when things go down the drain in what we know as normal society.

R.P. Ruggiero has his next book, Brushfire Plague: Reckoning  and right now he has the original Brushfire Plague plus the new one on sale in Kindle format for the very affordable price of $4.95 each.

R.P. has been kind enough to send me a Dead Tree copy of Brushfire Plague: Reckoning for review and I expect it to be as good or better than the original. But you can go ahead and get started with the first one.

So…what are you still doing here? Git!

China cracks on Air Gun Owners: Protest Easy Guns approves?

Is Protest Easy Guns siding with China on Gun Control?  Wouldn’t that be special?

Peng Di (pseudonym), an engineer from Wuhan, Central China’s Hubei Province, did not expect to spend the rest of his life in prison or face the death penalty, for a hobby.

Despite the fact that China has many gun enthusiasts, the hobby has its risks. Peng went further than simply studying guns and decided to buy 1,300 air gun pellets online from a US vendor in 2011.

Peng was charged with smuggling ammunition after he bought over 1,000 non-military bullets from overseas and claimed they were steel ball bearings to escape customs checks.

via Cops crack gun nuts – Frontpage – CHINA – Editor’s Picks – Globaltimes.cn.

Once more we have proof that when Gun Control advocates say “We don’t want to ban all guns, that is silly!”  they are giving you a dose of death by a thousand paper cuts. It is interesting to see that Globaltimes.cn (Chinese News org.) is actually using language associated with US Gun Control zealots.

Not surprisingly, the article demonstrates the stupidity of trying to “un-invent” the concept of guns. A tightly controlling entity like the Chinese Government cannot stop people from smuggling and building their own weapons:

“You can make an air gun and even a shotgun with perfectly legal materials. Seamless steel tubes are viewed as technical and materials can be as simple as a soft drink bottle and air freshener,” said an administrator of a large online military forum on condition of anonymity.

And in true Chinese Gov fashion, they go hunting on the internet for those who seek info:

Among regular crackdowns, police departments launched a “Net clearance” campaign this year, clearing up more than 100,000 illegal messages and shutting down 1,233 websites.

I guess Protest Easy Guns would not mind seeing the same strategy applied to the US. That damned Bill of Rights is getting in the way of True Peace.
