For a Democratic Socialist like Lorena Gonzalez, job loss and people dependent on permanent unemployment is good.
For the rest of California, it’s a disaster.
We’ll see how California voters will react later this year. Will they reject the socialist or the tech industry?

“A little two inch by two inch post-it note from my carrier was in there ,” said Bilbo. “That said they could no longer deliver my mail, because someone had tested positive for COVID-19 at this address.”
Bilbo explained that she worried about her bills and packages including her sisters cancer medication that they normally get through the mail.
“My mailbox is out on the street away from my house. I called Smithville Post office and they couldn’t tell me why except Bastrop police told them to stop my mail,” Bilbo explained.

Bill Lee says the state’s release to police departments and sheriff’s offices the names and addresses of Tennesseans who have tested positive for the coronavirus is necessary to protect officers’ lives — information that is also being independently shared between city health officials and police in Nashville.
I understand there are Healthcare databases and have been since ages. From people suffering TB to keeping track who caught a venereal disease or hepatitis, health departments have such lists for healthcare reasons.But sharing the whole database with Law Enforcement under the guise of ” officer safety” and then start making changes on the person’s life just because they can? Unacceptable! What kind of round up were they preparing to do that they already got started in Nashville?
As far as I know, not even Paramedics have access to an unknown patient health history from the comfort of their ambulances. They all practice safety procedures to lower the posibility of catching something they don’t want and treat every patient as if they could be dangerous.
I am starting to see news items mentioning that the number of deaths from other commom but untreated maladies will surpass deaths by Wuhan V. because people are scared of going to the hospital and catch it. If you add the idea that cops will come after you if you happen to have the virus, I can see that number of nonWuhan deaths easily duplicating or triplicating.

A husband and wife face hate crime charges after jumping out of their car in Brooklyn and attacking a group of Hasidic Jews, pulling protective masks from the victims’ faces and blaming them for spreading coronavirus, police said Monday.
Paulo Pinho, 35, and his wife, Clelia Pinho, 46, pulled up in their vehicle at Bedford Ave. and Ross St. in Williamsburg shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Sunday to confront the victims, according to cops.
“You Jews are getting us all sick,” the couple allegedly yelled at a trio of men, according to police sources. “The mayor says you Jews are the reason we’re getting sick.”
Moshe Rosenbaum, 39, one of the victims, said Paulo Pinho stepped out of the car and was recording people on his cell phone.
“They came into our area to videotape us without masks,” Rosenbaum said. “But we all had masks on. So he started ripping off the masks of females, mothers with small children.”
Let me highlight the relevant text:
“You Jews are getting us all sick,” the couple allegedly yelled at a trio of men, according to police sources. “The mayor says you Jews are the reason we’re getting sick.”
One more time:

Does that make it stand out enough?
Trump has a quote taken out of context and the media blames him for anti-Semitic attacks and demands the GOP answer for it.
Mayor de Blasio sent out this Tweet:
And two people are motivated by it to beat up Jewish children on a New York City public street.
According to the rules, every Democrat in the country should be asked about this and de Blasio and Cuomo held to account.
You and I know that they won’t, but they should.
This is the state of what the Mayor of New York City has done. First, he ignores Jews being attacked in NYC, now he is the cause of it.
Yesterday I wrote a post about C&C Coffee and Kitchen’s being open and busy on mother’s day, and how that begot the ire of Lefties and politicians.
It seems that the powers that be had to exert their authority over this rogue business serving breakfast to moms.
Castle Rock Restaurant That Opened Dining Room Now Shut Down For At Least 30 Days

The state is “suspending their license until further notice.”

The health department said the restaurant will remain closed until they determine the establishment is in compliance with the public health order.
On Monday, Gov. Jared Polis said it would be closed for at least 30 days. Polis said the restaurant caused an immediate health hazard — and he was “extremely disappointed.”
“I joined most Coloradans in in our frustration watching videos of people illegally packed into restaurants and thinking about all the moms and grandmothers and aunts and everyone who was put at increased risk of dying from this horrible virus,” Polis stated.
Polis said the best way to limit the disruption to the economy is to obey the health others.
“When people see videos of people packed into a restaurant, with no social distancing and no masks, people feel less safe, and the widespread economic pain will only be prolonged,” he stated.
He added businesses that decide to violate public health orders will ultimately delay re-opening for the businesses that are following public health orders.
The governor of the state went on TV and chastized the owners of a restaurant in a town of 64,000 people. Then the state shut down their business indefinitely.
This is such a heavy-handed and officious reaction.
“It is disheartening that this restaurant has chosen to move ahead of the public orders and not even consider implementing best practices to prevent the spread of COVID-19. It is not fair to the rest of the community and other business owners that are following Safer at Home and doing their part. We sincerely hope that C&C will choose to cooperate with the rules under which they are allowed to operate so we can lift this closure order,” said John M. Douglas, Jr., MD, Executive Director of Tri-County Health Department.
See, the problem is that these business owners didn’t pay enough deference to some bureaucrats.
I guess the business owners should be grateful that they were not killed in a SWAT raid at the governor’s order, because when the state wants to make an example out of you, they really make an example out of you.
What is interesting is the result of the mother’s day opening shows that people are ready to return to normal. They are champing at the bit for it.
The act of indefinitely suspending the owners’ business license really makes you wonder how much of this is about stopping the spread of COVID and how much of this is about control because the only reason to suspend it indefinitely is punitive.
Politicians really are doing their best Officer Cartman impression right now.
It’s getting harder and harder to separate the pandemic control from the politics.

Why is this animal growling at a member of the houshold and then some? Because the dumb custom that pets are just like family members so people be;ieve stuff like this is just quirks like anybody else in the family would have and need to be respected.
That is dangerously wrong
Dogs are not gather in families, they belong to packs which have a strick order. Dogs have trained and maintained as the last ones in the chain of command and make them understand that even a newborn baby of the house outranks them in the pack. Anything less than that and somebody in your household ends up with a visit to the ER and the pooch euthanized.
Wer had big dogs, actually the smalle of the lot were the dobbermans. All of them were trained and accepted to be the borttom of our little pack and did great. We were never mean, with them and we played with them plenty, but we never traded our pack superiority by misunderstanding as just cute pets.
One of the things I trained them on was to remove food from them when they were eating. This came as a hard experince when one of our first dog died because he latched on a poisoned possum and we coud not remove the animal from his jaws. As you can imagine, they wer not very happy initially and a couple of them bared teeth which was corrected with a slap to the snout and the appropiate LOUD commands and threats. Not the Dog Whisperer way? Sure, but got the idea quick and the few times that they ever growled at human of the pack, a simple “what was that?” in a stern tone of voice would refresh what the consequences would be.
Trating dogs like babies is harmful for them and for your family. You can be as loving as you want, but be the Alpha of your pack.
