Reader Gary Edwards also loves the Corsair and was kind enough to share one of his photos with us.

Planes sometimes are called birds or war birds, but I think it is the Corsair the only one that truly makes you see a bird in flight. Bird of prey, of course.

Yes, it is you car and you have the right to make sure your property is respected, but your life and the life of your loved ones trumps that. It went from a simple damage to vehicle to a burglary or home invasion because a door was opened.

In how many movies and TV shows of old have you seen a woman defending herself with a hat pin and guffawed at the ludicrous idea?  Apparently there is at least one case of deadly use of  a hat pin.

I may have mentioned once or twice in the blog that Florida tends to be rather inflexible when it comes to morons attacking senior citizens. What Mr. Timms did was bad per se: a thrid degree felony, but with the added penalty of two of the victims being over 65, he graduated to a second degree felony. He went from the possibility of a maximum of 5 years in prison to 15 years.

Let’s see how the judge play it come Monday.

This is a dream for me and any recording engineer: A good band, live session in a church and good equipment.

Live session like that is always in the verge of chaos and catastrophe and it is the guy behind the console who  gently steers it into fruition.

PS: I found out where they recorded and it hit me right in the feels: Ocean Way Studio in Nashville.  I lived, literally (no BS) across the street. It was a chucrh back then in the 80s and the last I heard it was shutdown. Little I knew it was bought by my old Alma Mater and converted into a teaching & for profit facility.

I will admit, I shed a tear of two at this view.
