Florida Gun Bills at the Legislature, a small update.

No new bills to report. I just got a notification about the bills already posted being assigned to subcommittees. I am going to wait at least till December to see if more bills are added and then do my IANAL analysis.

Unless I am mistaken, the list I offered last years of emails and phone numbers of Representatives and Senators are still valid. I will re-link again for your pleasure.

One again and from what I have seen so far, the bad bill outnumber the god bills.  And please, we need about a dozen Gun Rights activists who line near Tallahassee to show up at the hearings even if it is to fill one of those little forms that say “I support this bill” or I am against this bill.” Last year it was an embarrassment to see nobody on our side (with the exception of the much hated for whatever reason Marion Hammer) at the hearings while Moms Demand had people there.

Those were four simple red t-shirts that made a bigger contribution to Gun Control than a bunch of people on “our side” somewhere in a pier fishing with AR 15s.

Get your priorities straight or get your rights curtailed.  You cannot tell me that you cannot get a dozen of Gun Rights activists. There is no way in hell anybody can tell me that the space from Tallahassee to Pensacola is officially a Gun Rights Advocate Free Zone.

(Cue the “But we have to work for a living” excuse.) Get a day off if you are working, and if you are retired, get your ass in gear.  I thought the Second Amendment and the Bill of Rights were important to you.
I will give you the schedules and times for the meetings if enough people are willing to go and we can have two or more teams splitting the effort.

It is always about People Control: California going after “unregulated” HAM Radio Repeaters.

According to a letter from the law office of A. Nathan Zeliff to Lorina Pisi, an official with the California Department of Fire and Forestry, the state is demanding that Ham radio operators either remove repeater equipment that sits atop various mountainous regions throughout the state or begin paying Cal Fire thousands of dollars per year, per repeater, to keep them in place.

California to ban use of all Ham radio repeaters unless operators pay the state massive fees

HAM Radio is guilty of not being under the control of the State, not generating revenue for the State and being an effective means of communications, specially when disaster strikes. I know I have several readers that are hardcore HAM operators and can give you all chapter and verse how not only they have been successfully self-regulating themselves, but paying for every piece of equipment from their own pockets, including repeaters that are used by any HAM operator.  But the biggest fault of all for the State of California is that they are independent and that cannot be tolerated.

Here is the email sent to the owner of a HAM repeater:

“Hello [name deleted]:
I do understand and appreciate all of the service you have provided in the past. However, with constantly changing technological advances, there is no longer the same benefit to State as previously provided. Therefore, the Department no longer financially supports HAM operators radios or tenancy. If you desire to enter into a formal agreement to operate and maintain said equipment, you must complete and submit attached collocation application along with fee as outlined on page one of application.
There is cost associated with getting an agreement in place. In addition to the technical analysis fee ($2500/application), there is DGS Lease admin cost associated (typically between $3000-$5000) with preparation of lease. Also, there will be an annual rent charge based upon equipment type/space.
Please let me know how you wish to proceed. If you determine the cost is too great to proceed, please make arrangements with me to remove equipment. If you still have questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I am much more readily available via email.

This is insane. This is not to “regulate the unregulated” but to remove HAM Radio from existence in California.  And if you are dumb enough to pay for it, even better: we get a revenue-generating slave of the State.

This will get people killed, including rescue personnel who may use HAM radio repeaters as back up for their communications. If you read the letter sent by the California Department of Fire and Forestry, you will find example after example where HAM radio ws a part of emergency efforts for the people of the State Of California.  Why would they choose to risk the lives of people over a few square feet of land? Then there is this faction of people that believe humans are a virus attacking Mother Gaia and need to be eliminated.

Pope Beto to reform American Christendom with the IRS

One other thing observed in during the CNN LGBT Town Hall was this:

The First Amendment of the Bill of Rights says:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Punishing religious organizations by fining them, by removing their tax-exempt status, for not incorporating Progressive orthodoxy into their dogma is a violation of the free exercise of religion.

Not just does Beto want to stamp out the existence of the Second Amendment, he wants to stamp out the existence of the First.

Beto is a loser but his ideas are getting plagiarized by other, more popular candidates, so just wait for this to become part of the Democrat’s policies for 2020.

Extreme T takes over the CNN LGBT Town Hall

CNN worked with the Human Rights Campaign to have a Town Hall on LGBT issues featuring the Democrat primary candidates.  I don’t know who at CNN or the DNC thought this was a good idea, but I have the strong feeling that it backfired with Middle America.

For a long time, the central LGBT issue was gay marriage.

I have been pro-gay marriage since I first got interested in politics under G.W. Bush.  I was for what, back in the day, was called Civil Unions.  I believe that if you ask a lot of Republicans, especially younger ones, who are not evangelicals, most would say that prohibiting two people of the same sex who want to marry shouldn’t be the government’s business.

The LGBT community won that right in Obergefell in 2015.  That’s the bad news.  Being Progressive means ever marching towards progress.  Once gay marriage became the law Progressives had to progress and regular gay people were no longer at the vanguard of progressive issues.  The fact is that LGB has become boring, T is the next big thing for the Progressive Left.

There is still a lot of uneasiness about trans-people, for obvious reasons.  If an adult wants to change genders and had gone through years of counseling and has come to a conclusion as to what they are, they have the right to live how they want.

So what better thing for the Democrats to do than feature a 9-year old trans-child.

Watch as Senator Warren and the Audience applaud this child announcing that he is trans.

Trans-children are a topic that is deeply unpopular with and disturbing to mainstream America, especially parents.  The idea that a child can make an informed decision about their gender, and to some degree sexual orientation, without the maturity and life experience to understand these topics is scary.

My son watches a TV show about animals and jumps off the couch saying that he is a ring-tailed lemur.  I know he’s not, but if he decides that he’s a girl, I’m supposed to take him seriously?

There has been an “explosion” in the number of trans-children in recent years, an increase of 4,400%.  It cannot be more than coincidence that as soon as trans-rights became the new cause celeb for the radical Left, the children of celebrities started identifying as trans or non-binary, and a reality show about a transgender child became a hit, that there was a huge increase in trans identifying children.

Having the leading Democratic Candidate applaud a nine-year-old for identifying as trans is healthy for anyone, especially the child.

Then there was this rant:

I don’t have current statistics, the best data I have is from 2016.  There were approximately 7,000 black homicide victims in the US.  Making the assumption that the homicide rate is about the same as it was three years ago, then 19 black trans women represent 0.2% of black homicide victims.  That is roughly proportional to the trans population of the US at about 0.4% overall (both trans women and trans men).

There is no epidemic of black trans-women murders or any indication that all 19 of these black-trans women were murdered for being trans.

If this wasn’t enough, another trans-woman to ask a question and reminded everyone that mispronouncing a trans-person’s name was “violence.”

According to her Wikipedia page, her name is spelled “Shea Diamond.”

I am suddenly reminded of the substitute teacher skit from Key & Peele because when I read “S h e a” I read it as “shay” and not “she-ah.”

Clearly the CNN moderator had never heard the name before and pronounced it the way she (as a white person) read it.

That’s violence.

My question is, what level of violence?  If you mispronounce a trans-person’s name, is that simple assault?  In California, is that sufficient to be Red Flagged and lose your guns?

This is the zenith of cry-bullying, and CNN had it on full display.

This is going to cause a major backlash for the Democrats, and it will cause a major backlash for the LGBT community.

CNN has made the most extreme fringe of the Woke Trans activist community the face of their party, and this is a real turn-off to Middle America.

Forth Worth PD officer who killed woman in her house, arrested & charged with murder.

A former Fort Worth officer has been arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death of Atatiana Jefferson, according to jail and court records.

Aaron York Dean, 34, resigned from Fort Worth Police Department on Monday morning. Early Saturday morning, he shot and killed Jefferson, 28, inside her home on Allen Avenue while responding to a call from a neighbor about the front door being open, police said.

Dean was listed as an inmate in the Tarrant County Jail as of 6:50 p.m. Monday night, according to records

Former Fort Worth officer arrested, charged with murder in shooting death of woman

I don’t know Murder, but it certainly looks like a firm case of Manslaughter. I forget where I read/heard that it looked more like a negligent discharge than outright shooting. Having his finger on the trigger under stressful circumstances does not excuse him of the killing whatsoever.

To my “dear” Gun Control Advocates.

I should have mentioned this earlier, but slipped my mind. You know this video that fooled the best and brightest in ABC News who though it was open warfare by the Syrian army and turned out to be a night shoot in a Kentucky civilian range?

Let me stress that word again: CIVILIAN.

Not happening, you Fake Irish Taco.

Those weapons are in the hands of civilians. And you ain’t seeing but a fraction that was shot that day.  Do you understand now why we laugh when a clown like Beto swears he will have other people (cops) come over our places and confiscate our guns? Do you guys actually believe Law Enforcement Officers will risk their lives to enforce unconstitutional laws enacted by people who hate them as much as they do Gun Owners?
