I was taken a drive with the missus yesterday and we had a car behind us/ following us for some time. I felt it was matching my driving and some old strategies came to mind, first one being take the first left available followed by two more if needed.

The car kept driving straight and still took me a couple of minutes to return “normal.” I had informed the missus of the whole thing and I joked I felt we were in that border scene from the movie Sicario.

If you are not an old reader and wonder about my actions, I should share that back in Venezuela, I was targeted several times for carjacking. All were unsuccessful and one got, shall we say “sporty” but nobody got extra holes (specially me) although one vehicle had to go change the rear windshield.

But it is nice to see my alarm system, old and analog, is still working. And it is also nice to know that contrary to Venezuela, if things do happen to go very south, I have a chance to present my case and not end staying in the pokey several months for “investigative purposes.”

Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. Years ago, I got spooked by a Woody Harrelson lookalike who matched my every move from my leaving my parking lot at work in Marietta, GA almost all the way through to my home in Alpharetta, GA. I started taking a more circuitous route, he followed. I barely made it through yellows, he ran reds. This went on for over 30 miles until I made a move to pull into the local police station. I still have no idea what it was about.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
